Here's a better one I am beyond furious with Big Sandy's and their so-called management team. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. In April, my husband and I spent over $4,000 on a sectional. We were told one recliner piece was on backorder, which was understandable. It arrived early, but when the delivery crew showed up, they immediately started asking my husband what police department he worked for because of a flag on his truck. He's not a police officer, but that shouldn't matter--it was none of their business. Even worse, they spent their time in my home bashing law enforcement in front of my children instead of paying attention to the job they were there to do. Not surprisingly, they left without installing the sectional correctly. When I got home, I immediately noticed something was wrong. A service technician later confirmed that the delivery team had failed to install the legs on the backordered piece. We were first told the replacement legs would arrive in July. Then we were told September. So because of THEIR mistake, we're expected to live with an incomplete sectional for months after paying thousands of dollars. What's even more frustrating is the complete lack of accountability from management. They promise callbacks and never follow through. They act like offering a gift card fixes everything. It doesn't. A gift card is not an acceptable solution when your employees made the mistake and a customer has spent over $4,000 on furniture that still isn't complete. And this isn't the first time. We've purchased appliances, furniture, and other items from Big Sandy's over the years, and it seems like every order has had an issue--damaged products, dents, scratches, or missing pieces. Every single time it's the same story: apologize, offer a gift card, and move on. I was hesitant to shop here again because of our past experiences, but after visiting multiple furniture stores, we loved this sectional and decided to give Big Sandy's another chance. That was clearly a mistake. At this point, I don't want another gift card. I expect Big Sandy's to take responsibility for their repeated failures and provide meaningful compensation for the inconvenience, delays, and months of not being able to fully use the product we paid for. A partial refund would be a much more appropriate resolution than another store credit that requires us to spend even more money there. The management team has been an absolute disappointment, their communication is poor, and their customer service has been unacceptable. Customers spending this kind of money deserve far better than broken promises, endless delays, and excuses. I sincerely hope someone at Big Sandy's sees this and finally does the right thing, because after this experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. read more

Service is the worst! Bought a very very expensive mattress from Jacob Alexander who misinformed us of so many things. And if you plan to have anything delivered be sure to take the entire day off work at the last minute because that's how it works. I will never ever do business at this franchise ever again. I was also given a $100 credit for anything in the store and when I went in to get something they claimed I had not yet paid for the mattress so I couldn't get my free item. This was due to their "new" system not being updated, so what should have taken me no more than 10 minutes took me 1.5 hours. They seem to be very disorganized and full of lies. Not a place I want to spend my hard earned money. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere because I promise your experience will be better somewhere else. This establishment is terrible. read more

What started out as very promising and a good experience eventually turned sour for me. Initially, I got great customer service as I was shopping for 4 kitchen appliances -- so not a small purchase in any way (final total north of $6,000). Unfortunately, things would go bad and I ended up feeling as if I was deliberately deceived in an effort to get more money. I ordered a package of 4 Samsung appliances based on a display I saw in the store. In that display were a Bespoke 4-door refrigerator at counter depth, an induction range/oven, a dishwasher and a microwave that would go over the range. I ordered everything in black. When my appliances were delivered, I quickly discovered the refrigerator was full size and not counter depth (far too big for my kitchen). When I called to have it swapped out, I was told the counter depth would cost more (even though it's smaller). At this point in my remodel, it likely would have been more expensive to start over, so thinking it was probably a couple hundred more, I agreed to the extra charge. Then I was informed it would be more than $1000 additional to get the counter depth model. The delivery swap was set for the following week and, in the meantime, I discovered the dishwasher delivered to me was stainless steel and not black (it hadn't been unwrapped right away because I had to have my plumber re-do some of the fixtures for it to fit. When I discovered this error, I was told it would come at the same time as the replacement refrigerator. A few days before the delivery was scheduled I got an automated reminder with a cumbersome link to the order. Going over it, I discovered the replacement dishwasher had not been included...so I had to call the store again to make sure that error was corrected. Eventually, everything was delivered as ordered, but I was left feeling like I'd been deliberately deceived since there was never any signage and nothing was said about the additional charge for counter depth -- even though I pointed to the display and told the salesperson that was exactly what I wanted. The screw up on the delivery was just added aggrevation to an experience that wasn't great overall. I did have a conversation with the store manager afterwards and he was very nice, but told me the display he viewed had a full sized refrigerator and not one at counter depth. This confused me as both I and my sister remembered it being counter depth and talking about how we needed it to be counter depth. After I'd hung up from that conversation, I went back into my phone's photos to see if by chance I'd taken a photo of the display (I'd taken lots of photos that day at several places and didn't remember) -- and I had! There was the refrigerator at counter depth as I'd recalled. So either the display had been changed in that 1-2 weeks when the store manager went to view it, or I was lied to. I sent the photo to the manager and told him my memory and my sister's memories were accurate. He never responded. During the course of conversations about the refrigerator and dishwasher, I was told I'd get one of the glass panels for the refrigerator for no cost (two of them are on backorder)...and when the mistake on the dishwasher shipping was discovered, I was told I'd get an upgraded version of the dishwasher for my troubles. I never really checked closely to see the difference, but I am assuming I did get the upgrade. Regardless, I can't in good conscience ever recommend buying from Big Sandy. My experience ended up being a lot more expensive and included issues that should never have happened. read more

Had a top of the line dishwasher installed yesterday, on Valentine's Day. The installers did not tell me they couldn't plug my disposal back into its receptacle, and they left. The Big Sandy mothership texted this morning, asking how the delivery and installation went. I told her that I am unable to plug in my disposal now because of the design of the electrical plug from the dishwasher. I asked her if Big Sandy would pay to have this corrected. And she said NO. I will never go back to Big Sandy again. read more

October of 2024 we purchased 3 new appliances - Washer, Dryer, Elec Range. The washer/dryer are functioning great. The Elec Range works great, BUT has now developed stain/dirt/vapor between the glass of the oven door - this started after 5 months. I called Big Sandy, and a service tech came out and said this is normal; that there is no way to clean it except by taking door apart; That this is not a manufacture defect; that this will get worse; that ALL ovens do this - and the home owner has to live with it or figure out a way to clean between the glass.. I then called LG service who also sent an LG tech out. This tech said the same thing and that LG would NOT cover this or do anything about it. It is hard to believe this high end oven has a lifetime cleaning issue that seems to involve removing the door and/or taking the door apart to clean between the glass. NONE of this was told to us or explained when we made the purchase. After purchasing from BIG Sandy a refrigerator (2 years ago); and now a Washer, Dryer, and Elec Range - We would NOT make another purchase from Big Sandy in the future as they seem to have no desire to rectify this issue. read more

I originally gave this company a five-star review because I was excited about my new furniture. Unfortunately, after only 9 months, I've realized I was completely ripped off for the price and quality. The back of my couch has come unseamed, and the outlets in my table stopped working in less than a year. I contacted the company to use the extended warranty I paid extra for, which turned into an absolute nightmare. I was required to send pictures and model numbers. A week later, a box was delivered to my home, and I received a text instructing me to call and schedule a repair. I did so the same day and was scheduled 17 days out. I took off work for this appointment, and no one showed up. When I called, I was told I didn't have an appointment--even though I had text proof. Then I was told the appointment was canceled because I supposedly didn't confirm receiving the box, which was completely false. After that, I began receiving texts saying "more was delivered" to my house when nothing was delivered at all. When I finally spoke to a manager, the customer service was terrible. She showed zero concern, never apologized for the poor-quality furniture or the missed appointment, and repeatedly blamed everything on "human error." I was told this is a repair-only warranty and that my only option was to wait another 21 days for a new appointment. I then went into the store, where a very kind associate explained that a refund could be approved--but I would be charged nearly $625 in restocking fees. After everything that has happened, I should not have to pay anything, especially when the issues are due to poor workmanship and multiple company errors. I paid extra for a warranty that has been completely useless. Between the poor quality furniture, missed repair appointment, misinformation, and lack of accountability, I feel completely taken advantage of. This has been a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more
