Subject: Complaint Regarding Missed Appointment and Unprofessional Conduct Hi, I'm reaching out regarding a very frustrating experience with one of your representatives, Ava. We had a scheduled appointment that I arranged specifically around my work schedule. I made it clear that I would be working during that time, but the appointment still worked because my girlfriend would be home. Despite that, Ava texted me only about an hour and a half before the appointment--not the day before or even the night prior--and then canceled when she didn't receive confirmation. When I called to address it, I was told she had another appointment across town and had already canceled ours. Even more concerning was being told to "go with another company," which is extremely unprofessional and not how you speak to someone who is trying to do business with you. The bigger issue here is that we were on a tight timeline and needed to move forward quickly. Because this appointment was canceled without proper notice or consideration for what was already communicated, we're now at risk of not getting this handled in time. I don't understand why appointments are being scheduled if they are going to be dropped so easily, especially when the expectations were already clearly set. The service is consistently excellent here. The online ordering process is simple. Depending on the size of your mulch order, the options will be home delivery (for a fee) or pick up at the store. I have done both options and it was seamless either way. Staff is personable and efficient. If they do deliver to your home, you will receive text notification when the delivery is in route and you can track the progress to your house. All I can say was everything went perfect, I ordered, paid, and chose my delivery date on line. I received a confirmation email of my order same day and the day before delivery I received an email verifying delivery for the next door. Pros: good location. Lots of options. Reasonable price. Cons: sometimes with hidden inconveniences. Staff isn't very friendly at location. Review. So, I bought 1 ton of medium sized river rock from Mr Mulch when I decided to do a rock garden around my house. I paid for delivery and they dumped my rock on my driveway just like they were supposed to. Once I began to shovel the rock, I noticed a huge amount of dirt in it. Like, a huge amount. Enough that I had to run my hose and wash the rock with a gravel rake and a lot of extra time before I shoveled it into my wheel barrel. I had a river of dirt flowing down my driveway and building at the sidewalk. I'll update with photos later once I grab them from my iTunes account. I took a dozen photos of this because I was so shocked. I called and they told me this is the nature of river rock. I agree, but when sold to customers, it should be sifted. That should be the first step of reaping the rock from the river and sorting the rocks into various sizes while removing the thick sedament. Bottom line, I paid for a whole lot of dirt and didn't get the full ton of rock I paid for. Plus I had a lot of extra labor and annoyance and mess. Mr Mulch says they get the rock from someone and don't alter the product at all before reselling it to customers. So just be aware that as you buy river rock, you are getting 1/4 dirt for your money that you will have to wash out yourself. It's a waste of money and IMO, not a very upstanding business practice. Other than that, they seem to be a good company. The staff isn't wildly friendly but I guess that's ok. I bought a large decorative Stone and some weed barrier from them in person and had a hard time being greeted or recognized when I walked into the office area where all the loose rock is. Next time I'm going to try another company and see if I get better results. read more

I recently ordered an entire cord of firewood that came to over $400. Needless to say I'm not impressed at all with this wood. It is not seasoned and hardly burns. You can hear the water coming out of the wood as it burns and you have to constantly tend to the fire to try and keep it burning. Now I'm stuck with wood that will need at least one more year before it's seasoned enough to actually burn after I split all the pieces down into smaller pieces. You can see in the photos how green this wood still is after I split it and how big the pieces are before I split them! I'm not happy at all! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS JUNK WOOD! read more

I ordered some sod from Mr. Mulch. The front end service was excellent with an immediate call back of information, order placement and processing. The delivery address is in an improving neighborhood but I had asked for a call ahead for delivery. I was told that I would get a call the day before to confirm and then a call when on the way. Neither occurred. I drove past the property around lunch - and there was the sod! So, I am happy I got the sod on the day scheduled, the quality of the sod and the front end experience. I ordered almost $600 of sod with delivery on line. During check out was asked a date I want delivered and delivery instructions with contact. Tuesday of the following week because i would be home. Later i received an email that it couldn't be delivered till Thursday. That's fine as long as i knew so I could prepare the area to put it down that evening. Thursday at 430 I called because no call, no show. I had to leave a message but when called back was told that it couldn't be delivered till next morning which was Friday. I asked to make sure to call first. On Friday about 1:00 I called to see where delivery was. Was told it would be delivered around 3-4:00 because they were running late. No call, no show again! At 6:30 I called and left a message to see if they were still planning to deliver. I have not received a call or an email 24 hours later. I would say if you aren't a big baller buying thousands of dollars you aren't important to this business. Very unprofessional and I will not deal with them again. read more

Went to the office, and the woman was very friendly. But they have no price sheets, either. She said if I saw something I liked to come back and discuss it.
