We come here for Happy Hour and this place has one of the best happy hours I've ever seen in my life, which is shocking for such a commercial and large establishment. Half off ALL drinks, shots, beers etc. along with half off all appetizers. It's already hard enough for me to stay sober at the bar, thanks for making it harder Mellow Mushroom lol. But in all seriousness, the happy hour is great, the bartenders during this time are awesome, and it feels much more like a locals spot than a place inside of a shopping center. Family of 4 stopped by on a Sunday evening to have dinner. Out waiter walked over to give us a heads up as he said ordering a pizza would take an hour since they were "busy" the entire middle section the restaurants had empty tables. Mellow Mushroom left me a little disappointed last night and it started as soon as I was seated. The bench was soaking wet and so was the table. At least I know they washed it, but gross dude! The servers are friendly and helpful but the food left me wondering if I'll come back. Spinach artichoke dip, according to the menu, comes with garlic toast points. What we actually got was just plain pita bread. Also, we ordered it as an appetizer and it didn't come out until after my fiancé had already finished his food. Not cool. We had hoagies, which were decent, but only after we loaded them with salt and pepper. Kitchen, please season your food! The meat was good quality though. Just a note, this place is extremely loud. If you're looking for a place to knock back some beers with your friends, it's great. However if you want to be able to hear each other without yelling, ask to be seated on the left side of the restaurant away from the bar. We had the large pizza and pretzel bites too much for two people next time will order a small with an appetizer or medium and no appetizer. One note I must say, if you have a Groupon for this restaurant; you can only use one per table/visit. Even if there's two couples and you both have a Groupon, that's a no go. Located in the Happy Valley location. We went with the "Mighty Meat", large pizza. The toppings included pepperoni, sausage, apple wood bacon, and ground beef, smothered with the red sauce and cheese. Absolutely loved the meaty flavors and how hot it came out of the over. Besides the Cool name bringing me here. The locals recommended this place. Great spot for late night Happy hour! Reasonable drink prices. It does get busy on a Friday night! Oh and be sure not to pass up that nice Security Guy in front of the bar checking Id's after 9pm I Think? Anywho, Our Server was friendly. We both tried Margaritas! Pretty good for a special. I haven't been to a Mellow Mushroom in quite sometime, so decided to try the one near my home. I am a mostly vegan, so decided to try the "Vegan Veg Out" pizza. The pizza was good, but the vegan cheese on it was not - I basically scraped it all off after the first bite. There are so many good vegan cheeses now, that are almost indistinguishable from the real thing, why on earth are they still using this horrible substitute.
