I have been coming here for years and absolutely love the food however I assume the new management is to blame for the way things are going now. I love the pretzels with the beer batter cheese, the tiny cups are 4.50 but worth it, WHEN THEY ACTUALLY FILL IT UP. When I brought my concerns to the manager he said "yeah thats why I had them give you another cup". I responded with thanks but that one cup isn't enough to fill the half cups I paid for and he just stared at me then walked away. Total shame. They offer amazing pizza combinations and flavors. Ingredients are fresh and everything served hot out of the oven. The perfect crisps in the dough, perfect ratio with sauce and cheese and toppings. It was my first time trying Mellow Mushroom. It was my daughter, her friend, my grandson and myself. We started with the spinach dip. It wasnt very hot when it came out so it wasn't as gooey as I'd hoped, but it had good flavor. I also got a side salad. It was good but it had a tomato end in it. I wasn't sure what to try for the main course. I ended up looking at the photos on Yelp to get a better visual. I'm glad I did. We went with the pizza and it was so good. We did a Medium and had plenty. I'll definitely be back. There's a bar area, outdoor seating and indoor of course. Service was good. No complaints there. read more

Overall, not a bad experience. I really liked that they had an outdoor patio area for the nice weather. The location is very convenient. It's right off of 17 and happy Valley. The pizza was fine. It wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but it also wasn't the worst. It might be a little spending over the quality of pizza. Service was fine. Wasn't amazing, wasn't bad. We met some friends out for wings and pizza at Mellow Mushroom. We had never been here before and have heard good things so we gave it a shot. The wings seemed to be oven baked and not crispy (not sure how they're made). We ordered a house special pizza and a super pepp pizzas. They looked amazing and were good but not great. The flavor was good but the pizza dough was a little undercooked. The restaurant was big with lots of seating and a large bar area. It was rather noisy as it was pretty busy. We decided to try this place after work. Upon entering, I was greeted and immediately seated. The place was empty with only a few other people eating in various parts of the restaurant. Our server was attentive and quick. We ordered our food and it came out pretty quickly. The pizza itself is okay. The meatballs don't taste homemade but they do taste good. Like a big version of the meatballs from Spaghettios. I liked the design of the menu and the interior of the restaurant. Went yesterday, Saturday, afternoon to have a bite before a movie. Used to frequent the place when our office was up here so I haven't been in for a while. I told my friend, let's go. Food was always great. Unfortunately this was not the case. I ordered the cheese steak. It came cold with way too much, what i'm guessing was the cheese, but it was more like mayonnaise. I have a cast iron stomach so I just wiped off some of the mayonnaise like substance and ate. At first I didn't really think too much of it but once the brown slimy old ass lettuce started showing up, I thought, hmm, I don't remember ordering that. It was disgusting. I took pictures of the old lettuce, but didn't get to the brown stuff until after I got home because I only ate half at the restaurant. Sorry. I should have done you the favor and taken more pictures. My friend ordered the avocado club. It was supposed to be a wheat infused bread of some kind. But it was a chibatta (sp) and it had hardly any meat in it very little avocado, and she said it was just incredibly bland she too took her second half, home said she would save it for the dogs. Very, very unfortunate. We would have sent everything back had we not been rushing to get to a movie. Sorry Mellow Mushroom you missed the mark on this pass. Our waiter, although very nice, didn't come back to check on anything. No water refill, nothing but he was pleasant enough so he got the star. Ambiance, we got scolded somewhat for coming in the the back door and trying to sit down without checking in with a hostess. Even though there were only maybe three other sets of patrons. We are big Mellow Mushroom fans and this is a location that we frequent. I'm surprised I haven't left a review yet! I really like the pizzas at Mellow Mushroom. They have a fun mix of traditional favorites and eclectic options. I find their ingredients to be high quality and their flavors to be top notch. We most recently visited and had the hot honey pepperoni pizza. It was great. One qualm--I don't like that they charge for dipping sauces like ranch. $1.50 for a small cup of ranch seems petty to me! read more

Highs and lows here: It was super busy on a Monday night - but the bar had seating. The bar staff was very fast, friendly and attentive. I went with the mushroom pizza and I loved the crust and the toppings but hated the mayo type drizzle. The man got the meat calzone with the red sauce side and it was really good. I normally do not like red sauce but I asked for a side and added it to my pizza after scraping off the sauce. I also got a side of ranch - the ranch was not great, tasted like a kraft or hidden valley. They have many drinks on tap and a lot of bottles. I was invited to join my son and his girlfriend for pizza at Mellow Mushroom. At first I balked at the prices I saw online and suggested some cheaper options but their dime and just my time so I joined them. When we arrived at the front counter there was a sign to please wait to be seated which is what we did but only 2 or 3 minutes. We were seated and within a couple of minutes our waiter was taking our order. We ordered a Hawaiian style pizza and sodas and my son ordered a salad. The pizza took a long time to arrive considering the place wasn't very busy. The pizza was real good, saucy, cheesy, crisp bottom crust and plentiful toppings. Normally my pizza slice consumption is 2 slices, I consumed 3 slices of this wonderful pie. Although it wasn't my money being spent, I would spend my money for this delicious pie. I will be back for pizza in the future and maybe try their cloud nine wings also. Clean place, good food worth the price. read more

I guess I should start with it was full moon night. Let me just get to the part where the brave manager Keith came out to talk to me. I'd met him previously, the first time I came here about a year ago. He was phenomenal and obviously still is. He took total ownership of the mishap and he's again displyed his true leadership abilities. He gained my respect with his amazing E.I., and he gain a huge amount of respect for him with how smooth he was conducting the restaurant that day. He gained back what my frustration lost. Looking for a very chill place with good food, this is the place! Our server was Josef and he was very good! He was attentive and got our order right away! He brought our apps out first and then waited until we were done to bring out the rest of our food. My boyfriend and I shared the wings and they were so crispy! They give you a small amount of carrots and celery and then your choice of ranch or blue cheese dressing. These were some of the best I have had as they don't get soggy due to the sauce. My wife and I absolutely love it here. The pizza is exceptional, primarily due to the dough. *pro tip* order the beer cheese with it and then you can have a dip for the crust. The Cloud 9 wings are to die for! Plus, the service we receive is always great. The employees are typically upbeat and happy, and super helpful. While traveling to Phoenix we spotted this location and immediately stopped in. We came on Halloween and expected it to be packed, they had a TON of to go orders but not a lot of in person diners. Each time we let server know that the order keeps getting dropped off at the same table but not ours. Meeting friends for lunch and we were one of the very first people in the restaurant for the day. Greeter said go seat yourself -- we looked around and every single table was covered with crumbs and debris and gunk. Super gross. We asked the greeter to come over and wipe down because we saw him with a rag. He didn't apologize for the dirt. There was still gunk on the table so we went to get napkins and wipe down some more. So that's a one star right there for me. I wish we could have turned around and walked out -- but we were meeting friends . As for the food, ridiculously overpriced and very bland.
