I've been wanting to try this place since my first visit three years ago. It's good pizza for sure. The place was busy on a Friday night as expected. We had the combination pizza. The veggies on this pizza stood out. This was wonderful! Really balanced with toppings. I love how the outer crusts are finished with a parmesan cheese. Crust was great. I'm so curious about the flour that is used for their crust. It isn't all white flour for sure, maybe a blend? It tastes different and it looked a little more yellow than white. Lots of chances to have a Mellow Mushroom pizza before but none have ever come to fruition. Today changed that. I ordered the large Mighty Meaty with the thin crispy crust. Waited 45 minutes and headed over. Waited another 15 for the curbside service. I was lapped twice by people pulling up and going in. I didn't know that was how it worked.... My pizza came out with no napkins or plates... no one asked either. Look when your pizza is above $30 you should offer.... That said when I opened the box is wasn't very hot. Note to self to go in and get it IF there's a next time. Oh and my crust was absolutely not crispy. A bit disappointing. I have to say when I took my first bite I was impressed. Very flavorful. A great combination of flavors. If it was just a little hotter it would've been almost perfect. This was the first chance I've had to eat at a Mellow Mushroom in years and it didn't disappoint. When we got in, it took a very long time for us to get service. We didn't get angry, but a server came over to apologize for the wait. The server came over a moment later and she apologized too. We didn't feel like we were owed an apology, but the staff doing so is something my Wife and I appreciated. We started with the pretzels and beer dip and and they were fantastic. The pretzels were a bit crispy and brown on the outside and the inside were soft and had a little bit of chewiness, which is just how I like them. The beer cheese was also pretty fantastic and I almost considered getting more cheese dip just for the pizza crust. I ordered the Veg Out and just like the pretzels, the pizza was great. My pizza was loaded with toppings and I've always thought that the toppings go beyond what you'd normally expect from a pizza place. If management reads this, I'd like to send my thanks to the staff. I had the mushroom pizza I forget what it was called on the menu but it was good and my boo had a vegan hoagie with tempeh and vegan cheese which was also good. We went at 6:45 on a Friday night and they were not busy when we arrived. We were seated quickly, although the guy who seated us gave us grief about needing a table with chairs so that we could sit the car seat down with our baby in it. Anyway, we then sat and waited for someone to come, but other tables around us who arrived after us were helped almost immediately. Moving all day and this restaurant was near by. We knew they had good pizza so we stopped in. As soon as we arrived we went in they said they were closing early at 8 instead of 9. She was trying to say she couldn't let's us order a to go pizza even though it was 7:59 and she just hung up signs announcing closing due to short staff but staff was available and working. Almost refused to serve us until I asked for the manager. She had her take our order saying we were the last ones. Cook exclaimed " is that another ticket printing" in a very loud upset tone . On one, the crust was very doughy and tuff, and the other the center was gooey. Not the usual Mellow quality. Both my dad and brother are vegan and we were having trouble finding a place to eat on the way to TN. When we found out about this place, we didn't hesitate. The atmosphere and decor is so cool! It's a hippie themed place decorated with shrooms and trippy paintings. I ordered a personal holy shiitake pizza. It was really small (probably under 8 inches) but very rich, so I couldn't finish it. I really enjoyed it. My dad and brother shared a large vegan cheese pizza with tempeh. My dad wasn't crazy about the vegan cheese but did like the tempeh. He said it had a sausage flavor to it. We were there on Monday so they were offering $1 slices which was nice. The slices were huge, FYI. We will definitely be back. Glad there is at least a few vegan options in this area. read more

From out of town and camping nearby. Had to stop at the Target to get a couple of things and asked the cashier for a recommendation. I've never heard of the place but it was close and we were starving after being in the road all day. We ordered carry out. (I thought that was odd, but figured we had plenty of time). Server greater is fairly quickly and got our drinks. We ordered pizza and a calzone it took at least 45 minutes for our pizza and an hour for my calzone. They were not that busy , I'm not sure what they were going to do when the party got there. So my low rating is for the service because it was just bad that night. I did go on the night of an event so that might have been the problem but it was kind of ridiculous. I came here for a friends birthday but there were only 5 of us at the table. It was pretty packed but even though it was busy, we waited over an hour for our food. We got our appetizer with our meal. I have no complaints about the food, for the pretzel bites for free with my check-in through Yelp with my pizza purchase so that was a good deal. The pretzel bites were delicious, they had a really chewy texture but I wouldn't say it tasted like a pretzel exactly. Still delicious. I also had the Holy Shiitake pizza and it was yummy, very garlicky. I also had the chocolate chip cookie dessert with ice cream, which was another 45 minute wait, but worth it (mostly because I am a huge fan of dessert). My son and I stopped on our trip. He had never had your pizza and I have eaten at your restaurant in Myrtle Beach. I told him we HAD to eat her. We were seated promptly and our server polite and very helpful. We ordered the house specialty pizza and salads. Both were delicious.
