A great place to have a drink

Friendly service and great local/ unique brews on tap. If you're waiting for a table at The Angry Italian - stop by here before or after to support a local establishment!

The space looks simple when you peek in, but there's a lot going on here. A welcoming space that the bartender acknowledged "doesn't feel very Bristol," this beer bar has a few in-house brews, some regional beers and a couple craft beers from the coasts. There are many many references to David Lynch's Twin Peaks, enough so this is worth a stop even if you don't like beer ??!! for TP fans.

Soooo, this place is great, let me explain, walking into this bar was the most welcome I've felt from any place thus far in my life, the bartender "Shane" was awesome, he played my wife and I some mellow jazz instrumentals and also played some old school Wu-Tang, it was a vibe for sure.. they had quite a few selections of beers to choose from, some more popular than others, (coffee ipa) the atmosphere was very chill and relaxing., if only they sold food!!! But it's okay bc the conversation and min games kept my wife and I very entertained, plus there is also a pizza spot 3 doors down. I look forward to coming to Bristol again to Shane and the Elderbrew gang again. 8/10 Plus, they gave us free logo stickers and free Pilsner glasses

I can't say enough good things about this brewery! Twin Peaks themed which totally had me geeking out. Incredible music playing and fun company. The artwork and decor create a great vibe. Oh wait I hadn't even talked about the beer...the beer is awesome too! If you're looking for a really cool bar to hangout and have some great beer, I recommend Elderbrew!

Super hip spot in a surprisingly hip town. Used Yelp to find this watering hole on a long road trip. Loved the staff and service, and really liked the offerings. Several interesting beers to try, and they have a few VERY WELL curated guest taps. No food, but you can order from the tasty pizza place next door. Fun crowd. Live music on the reg. Doggos welcome. If you live here you should def go, if you are driving through you should also def go.

Very modern industrial hipster. Cool atmosphere, but it feels a bit cold and impersonal. Beer was decent.

Title: First (and last) visit to Cascade Draft House - rude bartender ruined it…read moreWe walked into Cascade Draft House on a sunny Friday early evening--first time, just my husband and me, excited to try local beer. Another customer handed us a menu, but it took forever for the bartender to come over. When he did, we said it was our first visit and asked for help. He suggested a couple options, poured two samples for my husband. He walked off to help another ( no biggie) I didn't care for his sample choices. I took a minute to decide, I picked mine and when the bartender brought my samples, I thanked him, he snapped, "You need to hurry up and pick one." We were floored. My husband asked if me he really said that. When he came back we ordered two of the same beer. My husband approached him calmly about his rude comment. The guy shot back, "You've had like six samples already," (4) then added, "The more samples, the more dishes I have to wash." Like we're the problem for ordering in a brewery. He laughed and joked with regulars outside--chatting, pouring beers--but treated us like we were wasting his time. We he brought our beers my husband approached him again and he said " I'm not trying to be a dick". My husband said "oh it must be busy", the bartender replied yes it's busy and I can't do orders and run the cards all at once. This is a no brainer job, as I've done it before, it doesn't get easier unless you're paid to sleep. Place wasn't even busy: eight at the bar, a party of five out back, three tables came in after we ordered. The atmosphere was relaxed, smiling and joking. Not us. We ordered a total of three beers (the dishes!) I watched this guy waste more beer by pouring it, not paying attention to what he was doing. The four samples we had didn't even create 1/4 of a cup. A woman came over to cash us out she was warm, friendly. While we were there she kept glancing over like she knew something was off, she might've heard his rude comments. The beer was very good out of Kingsport Tn, but we won't go back. The Pinnacle area has Kickback Jacks and Monroe's that also have great beer specials. Not to mention the other places downtown that serve drinks. That bartender's lucky we stayed--only because we didn't want to cut our day short, my son was with us and was enjoying some time walking around downtown area. Zero tip, I feel bad if they have to split tips at the end of the night. One bartenders rude, uncalled for, unacceptable behavior ruined it for others. I'm in Bristol once a week, have my favorite coffee shop, shopping area, a place to go for a cold one is now still in the works. If you're new, skip this place. The beer might be good, but the attitude's poison.

Maybe I was wrong the first time. So I decided to fly in from Dallas to "The Cascade Draft House"…read moreif you want to call it that. Been hearing a lot about these M&Ms on the reviews and had to give it a look. Was looking for a Bud Light to wash down my M&Ms and to my appall no Bud Light. M&Ms were ON POINT. Couldn't have asked for a better tasty treat. The beer I decided to stomach tasted worse than my Grandfathers pee. I have tasted his pee and I prefer it over whatever I drank. I want to reiterate, M&Ms are worth the travel!

I love their pulled pork sandwich, chicken plates and their food has always been fresh and just delicious. In 27 years of going there I have NEVER had a menu pick that wasn't very tasty or poor service. I was a high school music teacher and corporate pilot for 20 years and know what bad food and poor service really are! In addition to their great food I love their Thursday night karaoke. As a pilot who has traveled the world I always tried to find the best karaoke bars in wherever I was spending the night. I've been to karaoke bars from Oslo, Norway to Athens, Greece. Hundreds! Looking for the best karaoke bars in town that also serve food. And what I found and come to the conclusion was that State Line, in GOOD OLD BRISTOL TENNESSEE, has the best KARAOKE shows along with the BEST FOOD that could be found around the world. My apologies for this long missive. I'm retired now, my rabbits foot had no more hair on it, and have an armful of grand babies to entertain!

This grill, it appears, to be in a converted warehouse space. It is likely the whole block was a warehouse which was sectioned into separate commercial properties. It has 20' ceilings with tin ceiling tiles and nice industrial wood flooring. They have live music and karaoke nights. They have a nice selection of food. Seafood, burgers, quesadillas, wings, salads, wraps ... I tried their mushroom Swiss burger which was huge, juicy and delicious. I needed to cut it in half to figure a way to attack it and a lot of napkins. A fun fact: it is the State line grill because it is in Bristol TN but you cross the street and you are in Bristol VA! If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping in to try it out.

Hey friends! I went out with some new coworkers to this cool spot downtown…read more This spot is the rose that grew from concrete. Bristol is a rural town but certain areas are becoming more chic, such as this rooftop bar. I ordered a brown sugar old fashioned to start with. It was AMAZING. I would definitely recreate it at home, the flavors balance perfectly. For my entree, I had the chicken sandwich. The batter was perfectly crispy and seasoned well. I like that they use chicken thighs, which are juicy and makes for a delicious sandwich. Fries were okay, I wish they weren't steak fries. +Our server was friendly! She recommended great menu items. +Limited parking +Outdoor seating with a beautiful overlook of the city. Indoor seating as well. +Prices are a little above average. +Restaurant was clean and well stocked. I hope enjoy!

Hands down, people, this is the best bar in Bristol. Why?…read more Happy Hour! M-F from 2-5pm, all the Shareables are 50% off and drinks are really discounted! It's a really great way to try the food! Food (5/5): Elevated bar food! The kitchen from the downstairs restaurant, Vivian's Table, makes the food and it is really delicious. We tried the popcorn shrimp, which are breaded and crispy. Really great. We of course, had to try the Mountain of fries - these are matchstick fries and the best part was the three different sauces that come with it. The chipotle ketchup was my favorite. We also tried the wings, which were good..I am not a huge wing fan, though. The jalapeno poppers (wrapped in bacon with a cheese filing) were great, as were the steak nachos. And of course, the hummus with the fry bread was great, too. My hubby liked the hazy IPA that was on draft. Even better at $3.50 a pint during Happy Hour. I really liked the cocktails - some of my favorite was a new espresso based tequila (for the summer menu) and the creamsicle. Service (5/5): Everyone up here is super nice - the manager Landry, bartender Raine and all the servers were really fantastic. Ambiance (5/5): Location - This is the top of the Bristol Hotel, and one of the only rooftop bars in Bristol. From the top you have a lovely view of the famous Bristol sign, great when it lights up at night.
