Wife and I had a drink, small glass of wine and two appetizers: Dragon Calamari and Lobster flat bread both tasty and ample quantity we could not finish either dish. Well I'm not sure where to begin... we made reservations and the host, poor guy, informed us they were short on staff, just what a patron wants to hear but okay I get it. Total meal 145.00 --give him 160.00 and here is why! When we arrived ... issue with steak being well done to the right of us... understandable , manager and assistant manager come on to correct! Then we were seated. Our food was presented nicely. The drinks coke come out before the food... then the food .. and about 10 minutes after food... owe do you want those drinks .. I said can I have a coke refill.. he got it... my spouses was empty .. no response... he walks off... well he served other tables... I said hey can we have those drinks .. oh yea ... you still want them... yes we do... oh ok! Still spouse has no drink 45 minutes into meal... her coke was never refilled ! So for 160.00... the male server was about the worst service we have ever had! Maybe he was upset over the steak the other table had issue with, we left without any refill and I had one... understand both was empty when our food finally come out, most servers would said can I get you a refill! The service was great and the calamari appetizer we liked but a lot of other things were bland and unappetizing considering the price. The biscuits always good of course but my fish and chips tasted like old oil and cold and rubbery when it got to me. We where travel through the area and decide to try red lobster after not eating there for many years. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The restaurant was short staff as our waitress was also tending bar however she was friendly and attentive and was super nice after my daughter spilled her entire drink. Food was surprisingly good my wife had a cheese burger and it was amazing one of the best I've had I a while. I went with the admirals feast which was good as well. The portion sizes where quite large and i coyld 3ven finish mine, so im not sure why others are complaining. On Father's Day, my family took me to my choice of Red Lobster so I could get some grilled fish due to my diet for a medical condition (low fat). After 40 40-minute wait, we were seated, and when it came time to order, I requested their advertised signature dish, Lemon Basil Mahi. I was informed they don't have it and haven't for a long time. I then requested the grilled Mahi again same answer from the waitress, so since there was no fish I could eat besides salmon, which I don't like, I had to settle for a small side salad only for my Father's Day meal. Just a month prior, I attempted to order the same entrees and was apparently lied to by the manager that they didn't have it because their food truck had not arrived: BS! Working in a restaurant I normally cut people a little slack for being short staffed or whatever, but not one soul in this establishment had the capacity to multitask enough to grab refills on the way back by a table, much less fix an issue that a guest had. we spent our entire dinner with ice in the bottom of a cup as drinks I have never in my LIFE had such an awful experience in a dining establishment. read more

I see why the place was dead on a Sunday at 5:30pm. We hadn't been to a red lobster in many years so we came for the endless shrimp. They were out of the two limited time flavors, dragon shrimp and shrimp Rangoon. They were also out of coleslaw and broccoli as sides. The table next to us remained dirty for the entire length of our stay. It's just poor management all around. My husband and I went to your establishment last night for a celebration dinner. We have been a loyal customer since the 1980's. We were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait for a booth. I looked around and saw clean booth seating but was told by Mason that he couldn't seat us because it would overwhelm his waitresses. We were later seated but after this encounter we decided the wait wasn't worth it. My apologies to our waitress but the dinner wasn't worth the rudeness of our seating. Walking to Logans Steakhouse and thought I would give this a shot. Big mistake. Plates pilled up at my table. Only when the manager on duty stopped by and asked about my service and I pointed out the pile of plates did they get cleared. Our server was Ryan and he was awesome. Courteous, friendly and was on top of everything. Food was very good. I am gluten free and my only complaint was I told waiter I am gluten free and I found a crouton in my salad. Thank goodness I'm not as allergic as some people because that can land someone in the hospital but I saw it before it ended up in my mouth. I would definitely return. And last night I received such abysmal service that I left after two orders rather than wait another 20 minutes for our server to come back. Hannah had the 1000 yard stare of someone who had been dragged kicking and screaming to come in. The table next to us sounded like they had a great server. Kept getting lever cannot be processed at this time, so I decided to call (what a mistake) First Shawn answered and said hold till he could get someone to take order.So I held about 8 minutes ,hung up, called again put on hold again finally a lady answered and said sorry you had to wait we are so busy and so short handed , I said I tried to order online and it must not be working,rudely she said I turned it off we are too busy.I said oh ok how long would the wait be she said 25 min or so,but we are slammed so I said let me ck with my husband to see if he would rather wait,she said well you can call back.. It's been a looong time since we ate at a Red Lobster but thought we would try it sincere reviews were good. First off, the server was amazing. I think her name was Jennifer and if all restaurants could clone her they should! We had just spent a long day with fam at a funeral and needed a quiet dinner. She brightened our day immensely. Friendly in a genuine way! I have two types of shrimp with broccoli and loved all. I love that they show calorie counts so I easily found what works for me. Teriyaki skewered shrimp was delish!!! However...our experience Sunday in Bristol Virginia has truly blown every previous experience out of the books!! Our server was Amy T. Red Lobster really lucked out when they hired her!!! Wow!! She should be working in a very elevated high class fine dining restaurant!!! I've never seen a better waitress!! She covered every single desire, question and extra that a service professional could. All with sincere efficiency rarely displayed in any restaurant! Glasses always full, extra butter? Went primarily for Endless Shrimp. Our server was sweet, of course trying to sell everything on the menu. My wife got the three course with Soup, Appetizer, Entree with two sides. I started with Coconut Shrimp and Grilled Shrimp. Server asked about my refill and I ordered Scampi. Initially everything came out hot and delicious, same for the table across from us and then it went downhill. Three people were seated behind us and three next to us. The table seated behind us was trying to be impressive and ordered everything she suggested , kept talking to her, talked to her as things came out and she totally forgot about us, the table across from us and the people next to us who hadn't ordered. Our glasses were empty, my scampi cam out 17 minutes later and was lukewarm. The table across got tired of waiting for refills and left with no interaction from our server. Stopped in for dinner after driving to Abingdon looking forward to one of my favorites, Shrimp Linguine Pasta & Shrimp scampi in the pick two only to find they had taken it out of the choices. So I chose the Shrimp Linguine and a salad with ranch which I could not have because they have taken garden salads off as well, So Caesar salad it was. The biscuits were cold but I just let it go and figured they would bring warm ones with the food, it arrived looking like a lunch portion for $16.99 and when the check came they charged for the Caesar salad as well ...Ridiculous! So you don't even receive a side item with your entire. Our bill was $52.00 without tip and we've had more at lunchtime. My husband and I stopped by here yesterday, we hadn't been in a while so we figured we'd go. I'm going to get straight to the point. Our waitress was VERY judgemental of us because we were both wearing carhartt coats. It was below 10 degrees outside, so I'm going to wear a warm coat! We both ordered a water with our meal and she acted like we were cheap, when in reality we don't like soda because it just makes us more thirsty. At first I thought that maybe it was just me picking up on her attitude, but even my husband commented on how judgemental she was being. I told myself last night that if it still bothered me today then I'd post this review. Stopped in for dinner on Sunday and it wasn't too busy. Got seated right away, right next to the kitchen so we got to listen to the waitstaff and dishes banging during our meal (once again it was not that busy). Anyway, we got the Ultimate platter and Seafood on pasta (both from the lobster menu). That was the toughest little lobster tail I've ever eaten. Really a disappointing meal.
