The pork chops were very good as usual. The chili was very good as usual but here comes the salad. What is it about a take out salad that makes it so much more different than if you order it in the restaurant. Is there two different batches of lettuce? The lettuce tasted like it had been soaked in water all day, and there were so many lettuce chunks in the salad it was basically a wedge salad. There were barely any eggs on the salad (which if my favorite part). Thank God I had extra cheese from the chili. I asked for Extra ranch. All I got was the small little container of ranch. Needless to say that was a wasted side. This isn't the first time we have had this issue with the salads for takeout. The thing that blows my mind and has been a constant issue, is time. They tell you 20-30 minutes and then you arrive within that time frame only to wait another 20-30 minutes on your food. To me that's poor customer service. When you ask about it or say anything they just give you a free appetizer coupon. It's one of our favorite places to get salads but I will not order takeout salads ever again.

First off, this place is way nicer than I deserve to be in. Low lights, super clean, and everybody looks like they have their life together. Meanwhile I'm just there for moral support and food. Olivia was behind the bar absolutely carrying the establishment, making drinks like a professional and not judging me for sitting there alone. She was super attentive, super attractive, the drinks were perfect, and you can tell the staff actually cares about what they're doing. Shout out the host Meisha she is tough also! I ordered food expecting "good for Kingsport," and got "actually really, really good." Everything came out fast, looked fancy, and tasted even better than it looked. No complaints at all. But one thing moved this review from a 3 to 4 star: the hot caramel cake. Holy cow. I know it was relatively simple but the yellow cake cupcake, in a bowl filled to the brim with hot caramel sauce, and a tower of vanilla soft serve....YUM! I'd come back here just for that. It didn't take long for the menfolk to clear the plate of pickles, so we waited. And we waited. And then we waited some more. Our waitress stopped by a few times to refill our coffee and water, and to give us updates on the food. She did apologize that it was taking so long, at least. Once the food did come out, we all fairly fell on our plates. The chicken fried steak was decent, and had some good flavor. The mac and cheese was good, the potato salad was zesty. The biscuit was big and fluffy on the inside, with a slight crisp to the crust. Perfect. My least favorite thing was the cornbread muffin, it was bland to me. Everybody else loved their meals, though my mom kept saying how big the serving was. It was like the kitchen took every chicken liver they had in the fridge, fried it up and dumped it on her plate. There was no way she was going to eat everything, so she pushed some over to my husband, the only other human at that table who would have been inclined to help her with her meal. We all pushed away from the table over 90 minutes later, sated by the meal and pleased by the service.
