Small neighborhood diner, excellent food, friend staff, very clean. Been here a couple of times and today got lunch to go. Cheeseburger and fries for me and a chicken Philly for my wife. Chicken Philly was outstanding! Better even than Charley's Steakery or Jersey Mikes Subs. Ordered it with everything (as it normally comes) and asked to add mayonnaise. It was so good my wife almost didn't give me a taste. Cheeseburger with everything was really good. No question here about where's the beef.... It was juicy and flavorful. Honestly, I usually prefer my burgers slightly less done but to be fair, I didn't specify when I ordered. It was great anyway. Fries are the large crinkle kind and very good. (which is saying a lot after getting them to go and not opening the food until 15 minutes later.) Also took home two pieces of cake. Seems the desserts change daily and today was German chocolate and blueberry cream cake. Too full from lunch to eat those now but we tasted them and it's a good thing we didn't taste them first... delicious! We might have eaten them first and missed out on being able to finish our lunch. The place wasn't slammed (about half the tables full) and customers were coming and going while I waited for my to go order. There's no alcohol on the menu but this place is still reminiscent of Cheers (the tv show). Seems like for most of the customers "everybody knew their name." Hours are somewhat limited. Open for lunch Monday thru Thursday and breakfast lunch and early supper on Friday. Closed weekends. But then the target market is local. If your driving through it's definitely worth the stop. If you live anywhere nearby and haven't tried it. Take a friend and go. You might be pleasantly impressed. I can't wait to try the Philly Cheesesteak.

I've lived in Kingsport for 49 years. We recently had to sell our home and bought a truck and…read morecamper to live in. I promised my wife 45 years ago that I would show her the USA before I passed. Thanks to Sullivan county trying to sell our home for 9 grand in back taxes, the time has come for us to hit the road. This morning, June 9th, 2025 we decided to try out some place that we had never been before for breakfast. My truck is a dually Ram 3500 and I'm still trying to get the hang of driving such a big machine. The parking lot was absolutely packed and I did the best I could in parking it. A regular patron didn't like how and where I had parked and started giving me "what for" before I even got out of the truck. It was ugly and I definitely over-reacted. Words were said that I shouldn't have said, but we decided to go in and eat regardless of the Karen's tirade. So, we go in, find a seat and met some of the nicest people we've ever encountered. Darby, the owner came and asked me VERY POLITELY and KINDLY if I could move my truck to another location to facilitate traffic flow through the lot. I happily obliged him because he was so kind and caring in the way he spoke to me. I explained my situation and he listened like a close friend listens when you need someone, you know? I came back in and my wife and I both ordered the #1 breakfast special. Oh my GOD, people! I rarely clean my plate, but this was some of the most delicious and down home cooking I have ever experienced! Our waitress was a very sweet soul and adored my Service Dog, Dolly like she was her own. Darby came back and checked on us repeatedly and his kindness and sincerity made me wish he were my own son. They are professional, courteous and treat every customer with the utmost respect and kindness. The cooking? It reminded me of my mom's cooking from back in the 60's. You can tell it was prepared with love and thoughtfulness. Overall, (except for the mean Karen) this was probably the best experience I've ever had dining out. Darby needs to be famous, folks! Please, go eat at Cafe 93 every chance you get! The prices are MORE THAN FAIR and you feel like you are part of a loving family when you are there. Thank you Mr. Darby for making me feel like I mattered. You are kind beyond words and I will never forget you. A million thanks are not enough. All I can do is tell other people about you and your awesome Cafe 93! May God bless you and keep you and your family safe and may you live a long and happy life, young man. You are a good soul, and finding you felt like finding an entire field of 4 leaf clovers! May you and yours be blessed for many, many years to come! Earl, Robin & Dolly Oaks

My Colette was bacon wrapped with eggs and a slice of American cheese on top. The cheese ruined it tasted plasticy. No hash brown or anything but it had a lot of bacon. The ham on the platter was salty and the gravy was underwhelming. The servers were really nice and the restaurant had a good energy. Just wish the food was better.

First off, this place is way nicer than I deserve to be in. Low lights, super clean, and everybody looks like they have their life together. Meanwhile I'm just there for moral support and food. Olivia was behind the bar absolutely carrying the establishment, making drinks like a professional and not judging me for sitting there alone. She was super attentive, super attractive, the drinks were perfect, and you can tell the staff actually cares about what they're doing. Shout out the host Meisha she is tough also! I ordered food expecting "good for Kingsport," and got "actually really, really good." Everything came out fast, looked fancy, and tasted even better than it looked. No complaints at all. The vibe is perfect whether you're on a date, with friends, or just sitting there solo like me pretending you're important. Super relaxed but still upscale. 10/10 would recommend. Go sit at the bar and tip Olivia so I can have a nice birthday present.

The calamari and ceviche for appetizers. My friend had the fettuccine Alfredo and I had the glaze salmon at first. The rice was extremely salty and the glaze on the salmon also made the saltiness pop. So I returned it after one bite and ordered the quesadillas which were much better. My friend's pasta also lacked flavor and was low on salt, complete opposite. She also didn't like the ceviche. Our waiter however was pleasant and accommodating.
