    Pork chop special, yummy
    Mary S.

The restaurant looks small from the outside but is pretty roomy inside. The food is American home-style, with specials on different days. My husband and I had the pork chop special, and it was very good. Sometimes pork chops can get dried out, but these were moist and flavorful. This seems like a hidden gem place, and had a steady stream of customers coming in. Give it a try!

We have really enjoyed eating there on several occasions. Give a local business a chance.

Most of the food was delicious and they do a great job of keeping the trays stocked. Grace took good care of us and we were stuffed by the time we left. It's a little pricy ($25 each) but the quality makes it worth it!

The restaurant and staff were typical Chinese vibe. I'll be honest, coming from NY, my expectations weren't high. I didn't even take pictures at first because I assumed there wouldn't be a review (and I usually won't post a negative one). When I tell you SHOCKED isn't even a strong enough word... I'm not kidding. We didn't want leftovers, so we ordered a few things to share. They brought kimchi and pickled cucumbers to the table. I'm not even a kimchi person, but this one was delicious; and the sweet, tangy cucumbers were fantastic. Wonton soup is always my barometer for good Chinese food. The broth was flavorful with just a little kick. The wontons were plump with filling and had a super thin wrapper-absolutely delicious. We tried both the egg roll and the spring roll-both spot on. The duck sauce and Chinese mustard were excellent too. For our main, we ordered General Tso's chicken (mild spice) with white rice. First of all... the platter was HUGE. Aside from being slightly spicier than I personally prefer, it was AMAZING. And yes...WHITE MEAT CHICKEN! Big chunks of juicy, crunchy chicken, large slices of onion (which I love), pieces of pepper, and a delicious sauce that coated everything perfectly. Halfway through the meal I realized I HAD to take a picture because this review was happening. This wasn't "good for Tennessee." This was genuinely DELICIOUS Chinese food. Yong Asian House-BRAVO!

That said, I immensely enjoyed every single one. i got a skewer, rice, an order of pork gyoza, and a mushroom soup. The gyoza and rice were the most filling, but not as flavorful as the soup and skewer. It was all so good that I had to try one of their ice creams, which was a pistachio rose thing which was bomb. All in all, I will be back. P.S. Service was ok (came in suoer late) and was nearly empty and the ambiance was nice but didn't stand out beside their nice patio.

We were seated right away, but our table had a spill that was acknowledged and never cleaned. Service overall was inconsistent--drinks and rice took multiple asks, and items like side plates and dipping bowls never arrived. Food was hit or miss. Soup dumplings were the standout, and skewers were good (just very small). Everything else ranged from underwhelming to overly sweet, especially the duck pie. Overall, the experience felt subpar--both in service and flavor. I was expecting richer, fresher dishes and left pretty disappointed. Maybe it was an off night, but based on this visit, we wouldn't rush back.

My mom said Asia Kitchen is the best Chinese in the city now. Unfortunately if that is correct, then it makes me very sad. I have eaten at "Real" Chinese restaurants before and this is not close imo. I got Szechuan Beef...this is supposed to be a very spicy dish. My order was not spicy at all...not saying it was bland, but it didn't have the "kick" I was expecting. My mom shared a whole steamed fish with her friends. They did enjoy it, but it wasn't for me. I have decided to bump my rating up to four stars because of the wonton/egg drop soup. I didn't even realize this was a thing. We got one large serving and it was plenty for the table. Finally the reason i didn't give 5 stars was because of the table service. The others brought wine , but i ordered a Diet Coke when we were seated. Unfortunately it never arrived...our server acknowledged my order, but I guess she forgot during the dinner rush. I did have water so I didn't complain. Overall dinner was ok...it was very nice that we were allowed to take our time.

There are several nearby lots also pay-to-park but some may be free on weekends. Kaizen appears to me to be more akin to an Izakaya than a noodle hosue, where you basically go for drinks and they supply some food to keep things going - it has a more expansive menu than an Izakaya (which tends to be yakitori and sushi) - Kaizen's menu features several noodle dishes which all looked very interesting. We started with the appetizers and ordered some mixed steamed buns and soup. All of the buns that I tried I liked quite a bit - some strong, distinctive flavors. For an entree I ordered the Koji-Cured Ribeye medium-rare - 12 oz sliced ribeye, gai lan, broad bean paste, steamed rice. The steak was cooked perfectly. The service was exceptional - the next night we tried Fin-Two Japanese Ale House across the street - this restaurant was my preference - the flavors seemed more authentic and the quality of the dishes better in my opinion.
