I pulled up to Fusion at Ridgefields by myself like a grown adult (very rare), mainly because my girlfriend Olivia was bartending and I figured I should at least pretend to be a supportive boyfriend. First off, this place is way nicer than I deserve to be in. Low lights, super clean, and everybody looks like they have their life together. Meanwhile I'm just there for moral support and food. Olivia was behind the bar absolutely carrying the establishment, making drinks like a professional and not judging me for sitting there alone. She was super attentive, super attractive, the drinks were perfect, and you can tell the staff actually cares about what they're doing. Shout out the host Meisha she is tough also! I ordered food expecting "good for Kingsport," and got "actually really, really good." Everything came out fast, looked fancy, and tasted even better than it looked. No complaints at all. The vibe is perfect whether you're on a date, with friends, or just sitting there solo like me pretending you're important. Super relaxed but still upscale. 10/10 would recommend. Had a lovely time over diner here. Nice setting, friendly staff, varied menu, full bar, nice wine list. Stuffed mushrooms were great, highlight of my meal. Stuffed with crab, definitely made fresh to order. Spinach salad was delicious with the noted expedition below. Now- some misses on the food: The soup de jour was seafood, with a chicken broth I believe. Ingredients were fine, but it was so salty I couldn't eat it. Seriously! I like salt, but this was like a salt lick. Spinach in the salad was old. Many pieces of the spinach were beyond a few days old as they had black edges. Tried the new breakfast buffet this morning, what a disaster. Arrived about 11:45, placed was packed. We are regulars here as it has been one of our go-tos for several years. Service has been and was today excellent. My issues are two fold. First the breakfast buffet was out of simple things like sirup for the French toast, no bacon, cold potatoes, and general disarray. When I asked the owner manning the breakfast buffet about things lacking his reply was "they are on the way". After about a 15 minute wait I asked again and he just looked at me and offered no reply. He later came to our table to tell me "I don't want to hear it", a response totally uncalled for given at no time was I rude to him nor did I raise my voice. And the items lacking on the buffet were still lacking when my wife and I left. The second issue of my concern then being the owner's approach to a customer. Now it is important to note I am not saying, nor do I wish to imply everyone had my same experience. I am sure there were other customers who enjoyed their meal and observed others simply leave the breakfast buffet without saying anything. i am recounting my experience. And the owner did comp our meal which was absolutely not the result I wanted. in the end, this restaurant is no longer on our go-to list and we all go on with life. My recommendation to others would be if considering the buffet, actually inspect the serving area first to make sure it is amply stocked. If not order off the standard menu. :) read more

The restaurant opens around 11AM. I went there with my family at about 4:15 PM. There was only one employee tending the bar, the restaurant, and taking pool orders. Predictably, the only employee couldn't do his job properly. He wasn't even aware we were there until my wife went up to him to announce our presence. It took forever to get menus, to place our drink orders, and then to place orders for our entrees. Mind you, there was no one else seated there for dinner. Finally some other employees appeared a little after 5 PM. Their rudeness defied belief - pointing at us trying to determine whether we had been waited on for a dessert choice and whether we been given our bill. Additionally, the men's room needed to be cleaned. The food was okay. But I won't be back, not until they learn some basic manners and how to schedule their staff. read more

My first 5 star rating in a while, but between the awesome service from Lillian and the bold flavorful food offerings this was definitely one. The Asada Torta was a combination of perfectly proportioned bread, steak and toppings served with a side of dare i over use the term l, perfectly cooked and seasoned shoestring fries. My daughter's Shrimp Catalina had truly jumbo shrimp stuffed to the max and in a delightful lemon-butter sauce. Reasonable prices for area and quality. The food has taken a stellar leap since opening days. I've enjoyed the tableside guacamole several times, with the sizable portion of delicious chips that accompanies it. Tonight was our first visit to Fusion! We were very pleased with the food - portions were very generous and well priced. Service was great, we had no issues whatsoever. The beef tenderloin bruschetta was a neat twist on bruschetta and was very tasty. Key Lime pie for dessert was decadent with a twang of key lime - but not too much- which I appreciate. WOW WOW AND WOW! What a breath of fresh air for Kingsport. Fusion is the best name for this restaurant. It combines many different types of food. They are adding new types of ethnic kinds of foods. In May they will have a special dessert....shhhh We came on Sunday. We had dinner portions. However if you want to save money, do lunch Tuesday-Friday. (Smaller portions). Another great deal is their margaritas $5.00 Please don't come to this restaurant thinking you're going to another Mexican restaurant kind of food. This is not true! They serve all types of food. What a great spot! Fusion went way beyond my expectations for a little strip mall restaurant. The service with friendly and attentive. The food was freshly prepared and I loved how you can customize the pasta. I had fettuccini + Alfredo sauce + veggies, but there were lots of other options. Go ahead and ask for extra bread because you're going to want every last drop of that sauce! They do have a cute patio if you feel more comfortable dining outside, but I didn't as it was raining. My Son ordered chicken enchiladas, and we ordered the chicken chimichanga. The rice was outstanding, as were the enchiladas and chimichanga. The food is average and inconsistent. The cocktails are good, but the wine list is minimal for a place trying to be "fine dining". The outside seating is some of the prettiest in town, and would be enough to try again (although I have tried about 6 times now). The servers all seem tense, and after seeing the owner berate an employee I get it. We made some suggestions about the food and he (the owner) became defensive and suggested we had not eaten out much. Went there for first time today and was blown away. Food was incredible. Great flavors with some unique twists on traditional recipes. If you're a guacamole fan, good googly goo, do not go there without ordering! The soup beans were beyond incredible and I hate beans! Also has a very respectable list of calls at the bar. Don't underestimate this place by just driving by and thinking it's part of a mini mall. This place is awesome! I got the Pan Seared Sesame Crusted Ahi. The crust of the Ahi was great and so was the flavor. It was also perfectly cooked rare. The mashed potatoes were very unique in flavor and they were generous with the portion. The grilled asparagus was also delicious, I just wish it came with more than 3 pieces. All the items in this meal compliment each other perfectly. The flavor was so good you just want to eat slower. The only thing missing might've been a bread item like a croissant maybe? That's just my opinion. Highly recommend this place for the hard to please people such as myself. Cute restaurant with a bar in a strip mall. We were seated promptly at a table and on a Friday at 7:45 the restaurant was almost packed. Our server Leah was charming, professional and knowledgeable. She suggested a Love martini which was a combination of Malibu rum, peach schnapps, vodka and cranberry juice. Tasted like a cruise ship drink which made me happy. We started out with fried artichoke with a Alfredo/marinara mix to dip in. Savory and good! Our entrees of street tacos with carnitas and beef fajitas tacos were tasty and sizable. Loved the beans on the side! Fusion is great and I wish we had a place like this in our area. We would be there once a week. This place is delicious! I've eaten the salmon that had a honey glaze with rice and spinach, three times!! As well as the stuffed mushrooms!! Yummy! I tried the sesame peppered tuna with asparagus and sweet potato mash and it was also delicious. The potato soup was filled with bacon, chives and cheese! 10/10!! We had an amazing experience at Fusion last night. Having seen good articles and reviews of this restaurant, our group of 6 drove up from JC on Saturday night. We were promptly greeted and seated outside and our server skillfully went over featured menu and special items with us. Despite a growing Saturday night crowd in the restaurant, our dinners were delivered - all at the same time!!! - within 20 minutes. And, the food quality was amazing! It's clear the owner/chef is extremely talented. He later came out of the kitchen to greet customers and told us about his restaurants in Texas. Kingsport is very fortunate to have this talent and terrific restaurant! read more
