My coworker and I were really in the mood for good Italian food. We were not disappointed! I got the veal piccata with capers and a salad and it was excellent! I ordered the house red wine and ended up getting another glass because it was so good. I have two minor things to report. 1. The waiter made us feel rushed upon arrival but he settled down and ended up being an excellent waiter. 2. The dinner napkins are laundered and a very strong smelling laundry detergent so that when you put it up to your face it was overpowering. Giuseppe's has good food, friendly and attentive service, and a relaxing ambiance. We went to Giuseppe's on a Friday night without reservations. The wait was about an hour, but we were able to find a spot at the bar while waiting. The bartender was really busy, but he was friendly and took good care of us. The food was good. We started with soups and salads. The server recommended the cheesy mushroom soup, and it was really good (8/10 rating). These days I don't eat there weekly but I do I eat there every holiday and special occasion. I had a really good experience here one night for dinner, after 2 bad meals right before. I sat at the bar and received excellent service from the bartender, Scott. This was another restaurant that was fairly busy for a weeknight, which still surprises me for being kind of a small town. I ordered the raw oysters, lasagna, and a beer. The apparent east coast oysters tasted better than they looked because they had been drained of most of their juices and were likely pre-shucked prior to dinner service. The lasagna comes with a soup or salad and garlic bread. I chose the soup of the day, stuffed pepper. The soup was pretty good, but I didn't eat much because I didn't want to get full. The lasagna was pretty tasty, and I ate it all, but I was pretty full by that point, so I couldn't enjoy it as much as I wanted. read more

We came in as a party of 11 told the waitress family would be on its own check. Service was horrible, food was almost inedible. Got the bill and she had given herself a 20% tip on each bill.
