Friday, friends and I attended the ALL you can eat Seafood buffet night. The offered a large variety of seafood and prime rib, along with soups, salads and desserts. The wait staff was prompt and ensured our empty plates were removed, allowing us the space for our new plates on the table. This very well might have been the best breakfast buffet at any non-major city scene that I have ever experienced. I mean outside of your DCs, LAs, Miami, etc like cities in a more normalized setting. They had comfort food and as someone who is from the north and settled in the South due to my work position, I have gained an appreciation for southern cooking. Their country fried steak was outstanding. That alone makes it worth five stars. The rest of the food and the friendly omelette chief only made things better. Excellent food, excellent service, everything was excellent. It was $22 i believe and worth every penny. highly highly recommend. read more

Breakfast buffet is delicious made to order omelets. Good variety of fruit and pastries. Bacon was crisp and delicious. Biscuits and gravy were pretty good. The skylight inside is beautiful. Service was good for a buffet drinks were full. read more

We stayed at Meadowview Resort as an event was happening there. We decided to try Meadows restaurant. Their menu was limited due to the event, which was fine because the food was good. However the service was absolutely awful. I never got a refill on water. After all of our food was finished our waitress came up and said she couldn't find our ticket. I don't know what she expected us to do. We sat there for another 15 minutes and then she came back and said she still couldn't find our ticket, so she was just going to have to ring it up again. So she finally brought our ticket so we could pay. Completely unimpressed with the service! 2 star because the food was good. read more

Nice find while in Kingsport, TN. The MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center Marriott is THE place to stay in the city. The Meadows restaurant is tucked away from the lobby area, but not hard to find. The service and ambiance were both great. On this particular visit I enjoyed the wings and my own version of a caesar salad. The wings were nothing short of amazing. Definitely recommend this restaurant for wings and so much more. read more

We stayed at the Meadowview Conference Resort Hotel. After hours of driving we both were famished. Luckily, the front desk stated that the restaurant was closed, but food was being served in the bar and lounge area. It was spacious and comfortable. We chose to sit at a half booth table, and within minutes we were greeted by a waitress. Beverages were served in addition to the menu. My mother in law ordered the beef soup, hubs the lobster lollipops with fries, father in law had wings, and I had the bacon burger with blue cheese. Chips and salsa was our starter. It was freezing outside, and the temperature inside was warm and toasty. The chips and salsa was ok. It was just packaged up chips with what tasted like a tub of salsa from Costco. The wings were flavorful, and nicely fried. Beef soup was good, but had minimal beef. Lobster lollipops is a great concept for finger foods. The batter ratio to lobster was unbalanced, so there was more batter. My blue cheese bacon burger was very good. I ordered it medium rare, and it came back well done. It's ok. We were all hungry after hours on the road. Oh and the fries were crispy with some Cajun seasoning. We would come back again due to its convenience being inside the hotel lol. OK, the food and service were good. Best breakfast potatoes I've had in a long time. Scrambled eggs, nice & fluffy; oatmeal the way I like it. The server was super nice. But getting from I-26 to the dining room was an exhausting ordeal. I got the idea that they don't want non-guests dining there because I drove round and round the property and didn't see any signs for the restaurant. Finally, I called the restaurant and was greeted by sniveling, condescending male voice. My companions and I finally decided to leave and go eat at Perkins; however, when a parking spot opened up near the hotel registration, I decided to go in and ask the front desk clerk how to access The Meadows Restaurant. She was friendly and polite, and I didn't get the idea that she thought I must be stupid because I didn't automatically know where everything was. Once we got to the restaurant and got seated, it was quite a pleasant dining experience, but the half hour wasted meandering around the grounds beforehand ruined it. read more

Room service also available for those staying at the hotel. We walked downstairs for breakfast on our first day and were seated at a table and given a menu. Buffet style breakfast offered on weekends only. Jeannette took our orders and brought our coffee and waters. She is a lovely person who speaks with a smile and kindness. The Kindle: fried egg, smoky thick sliced bacon, and pimento cheese on a English muffin. Fruit cup and yogurt parfait. All of this was delicious. Sweet potato hash with two poached eggs. Hubby really loved this dish. We can't wait to come back here for breakfast. read more

While the food was great we got room service and when it was finally delivered, they forgot our Brussels sprouts we paid $2 extra to get as a side. When we attempted to call the restaurant there was no answer and the front desk said they would take care of it. It was late so it's fine that they didn't send what we ordered but I expected them to atleast offer to take the additional charge off the bill. Nothing was ever remedied from the restaurant but the hotel gave us some points for other issues during our stay. read more

My family is local and we used to come here just for breakfast or brunch at least 2-3 times a month for years. We fell out of the habit after Covid. Just stopped back in this weekend before the Home Show at Meadowview. Food was always very good and their staff and service was great. They "used" to have the best waffles of any where I've ever traveled, which was a large part of why we always wanted to go. Nothing much changed on the decor which is fine but the food quality has definitely declined. Breakfast buffet was just ok...had several options but nothing was "really" good. The waffles...not even close what they used to be! I wish I had just gone to Waffle House. Don't know what happened or who decided to make changes but it was quite disappointing. Hope they make some additional changes and bring back some better food quality and go back to the waffle mix they used to have. read more

Yesterday, a friend and I tried the annual Thanksgiving buffet at the Meadows at the Meadowview Conference Resort Hotel. We were both very disappointed with the experience and the best way I can express everything that was wrong is by item numbers. 1.) Our reservation was at 3:00pm and we were not seated until 3:45pm. They had three women working a makeshift check in desk and their means of communicating that your table was ready was to yell out your name. Even that was flawed as there were at least 50 people scattered out wherever there was space to sit/stand and the hostess was not yelling loud enough for people to hear. 2.) For $50.00 plus an 18% gratuity per person (prepaid at time of the reservation being booked) I would expect the staff to be friendly and attentive. Other than the nice girl that took us to our seat, everyone else did little to hide their disgust at having to work. 3.) The majority of the time, the sides were empty. Common things like stuffing and mashed potatoes were consistently empty. People were complaining constantly to staff about sides being empty and the employees were grunting back sarcastic responses like "they are coming. check back in a few minutes". I do not know how many people I passed by that were cussing about the long wait for a table only to have empty food trays. By 4pm, they had shut down one of the tables that contained sides leaving only one table to pick from. 4.) The ham, chicken and turkey were ok but nothing special to make it worth $50 plus tip, The prime rib was prepared very rare and in some spots it seems almost raw. At best this was a $20 meal and quite honestly I could have gotten a better meal at the Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Bristol or at Cracker Barrel at a more reasonable price. 5.) For this to be advertised as an upscale experience, there was nothing fancy about the surroundings or the seating area. Definitely not a festive environment for a holiday event. 6.) Not sure what item(s) was the culprit but I as well as my friend both became sick about 30 minutes after we left. For those entertaining the thought of trying this buffet on a holiday (i.e Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years), I'd recommend you find someplace else to dine. read more

Enjoyed the breakfast. The made to order omelets were delicious and fresh. Plenty of variety.

This place is soo good I had the ribeye steak with bourbon butter sauce, sautéed broccolini (slightly charred gave it such a great flavor) smashed potatoes. This place is not getting enough credit it's was soo good! I'll definitely be back !! read more

Bread pudding and calamari are all I can tell you about. I have to give kudos to Ms. Betty, who is the originator of the bread pudding recipe at the Meadows. A staff member was kind enough to let me taste it and I was sold. Or should I say, it was sold. It became my lunch. I had to stop myself from getting the lunch buffer because the bread pudding was featured and I knew that I would be tempted to pull up a chair to the chafing dish. Instead, I ordered one serving. The sauce is a bourbon sugar blend and I drained it off. The BP has no raisins (thankfully), was generously portioned (for $7!), and exceptionally flavored. Ms. Betty has retired but her legacy lives on and I want you to know about it. The calamari was also tasty. All rings, no squiggles, which is my preference. The batter is light and the calamari tasted very fresh. It's seasoned with seasoning salt or Old Bay or something simple, and I needed a little salt, but my companion and I agreed that eating it was a lovely experience. Though I didn't eat anything else in the dining hall, I commend the catering staff on their trail mix with whole pecans and walnuts, and white chocolate chips, and the other offerings at breaks and meals. read more

We had a group of 8 go for the seafood buffet last Friday. Price had went up from $30 to $33 since our last visit. Since we had a group of 8 an 18% percent tip was forced upon us. The service was PATHETIC. Our waitress was very grumpy and had to be asked repeatedly for tea refills. I asked for lemon twice and still havent seen them. I think its ridiculous that would be charged 18% when you have to serve yourself anyway. We paid this grumpy lady a total of $56 to fill up our tea glasses 2 times. I am shocked at the service I have received from this restaurant. First off they are supposed to serve room service - it's advertised all over the building. I didn't get room service because something was wrong with the phone system. I walk down to the restaurant - they man at the front complains about his job a lil' and tells me how he can't answer the phone and it's not his job etc.. I don't care about that.. what I care about is that I'm standing here...ordering "room service" in person. Then the manager takes my order and says for me to come pick it up??????! Okay... I go to my room slightly upset that they won't provide "room service" especially after I walk down there and place my order in person wtf?! I'm a good tipper too - but, not when you treat me like...this. I'm sitting here with the bag of food, so angry that I can't eat it. The hotel that the restaurant is attached to has been wonderful about the whole thing - Dalton (with the hotel), made sure that my meal was on the hotel, talked to the staff etc. Customer service is important - people forget where the money comes from. Overpriced places like this should be all about customer service - I can't believe the experience I just had. Glad I can vent it here and possibly save someone else exposure to this kind of rudeness and incompetence. To start this was my first time at this restaurant. I took my mother for the 2 of us it was $74 and that was with a seniors discount on my mom otherwise it would have been $84. We went this past Friday during the so called seafood buffet. They do have all you can eat crab legs but they hide the crab forks and crab crackers at the bar with no sign on them. Our lazy waitress could see that we didn't have those with out crab legs on our plate. She never offered to get us any or ask us if we needed them. My suggestion to her is do your job. The selection was horrible they had popcorn shrimp that were so tough and not much shrimp in them. On the one positive not the salmon they had was ok, Next they had broiled shrimp on a saucer with only 2 shrimp (Oh my god they gave me a taste). So I took 5 plates of 2 shrimp. Really? WTH! They also had ribs on the seafood night. They were cold and hardly any meat. The rest of the food wasn't warm and well under cooked. They had no fish other than the salmon. I wound up being sick later on that evening from under cooked food. No worries bout me ever coming back. Save you money there are other places that provide better food and cheaper price. read more
