A friend came over for a movie night I was hosting and brought a half-dozen donuts from Showroom Bakehouse. While they looked delectable, they were underwhelming. Maybe it's just my taste preferences, but when I want a sweet treat, I want to know that I'm committed to ruining my diet. The donuts here were iced and fried but didn't have enough fruit or sweet flavour for me, though I definitely knew they were baked goods I should not be having on the regular. The creme inside also was a bit bland, and the donut was too soft for my liking. I usually love donuts, but couldn't find myself eating more than a bite and opted for a slice of cake elswhere instead.
