Been twice, once for National Ice Cream Day, which offered a $3 scoop deal (worth it). Honestly, the ice cream is perfectly fine and offers some mildly interesting flavors, but both times I visited I felt that Heaps lacks punch. There's nothing particularly great about it, but the high price tag suggests an artisanal experience. Definitely a good spot for a frozen treat for kids, and good for adults really craving an immediate cup or cone, but there are also better options in Brooklyn for $6+.

My girls wanted ice cream while in the park slope area. Cute spot in the corner of the block for sitting . Once inside i caught a headache. It smells amazing like a bakery but the smell was so sweet I had to step outside. Unfortunately i didn't get a chance to take pics of the ice cream. But you can sample whatever. One daughter got a cone of cookies and cream the other got a cup of cookie dough. They rated it a 3 from 1-5. So i guess im not sure what the hype is

We were in the area and my daughter asked for ice cream so we found Heaps! There are a few ice cream stores in the neighborhood but I decided to come here because of all the flavors they offer. I tried their mango sticky rice flavor as well as their matcha strawberry flavor. They had a lot of asian inspired flavors as well which I'd like to try next time. Mango sticky rice flavor was pretty good but i opted for Matcha strawberry on a cone. My daughter got a scoop of vanilla. She enjoyed it a lot and we also enjoyed the matcha strawberry as well. I also noticed they offer ice cream cakes and asked if they do custom flavor. Seems like this is something new so hopefully down the line they will offer custom flavors as they only offer two types of ice cream cakes right now.

Cute little ice cream shop with a green retro theme. There are a few stool seats inside and some additional seating outside. I ordered a topping of gummy bears and they gave it to me separately in a cup. Nothing really groundbreaking about it but it's a definitely worth a visit if you're craving ice cream. Good portions.

They give great portion sizes and the ice cream is super fresh they honestly stand out I'm so happy I found this place.

Tried it a couple times because of the reviews, but I really don't know what to think of this place. When you order a pint to go, they only give you a 14oz cup. Considering how much a pint costs, it's a considerable shaving. Aside from this, they did not have the flavor I wanted the first time (and was not available the second time as well) and sent me a completely wrong pint of ice cream today instead of calling me to confirm, exchange, etc. Pretty disappointing after a long week.

Since before their grand opening, I have been drawn here every week, bringing a new friend or 3 with me each time. It is delicious. I seem to get a new flavor each time and I cannot choose which is best. They are all excellent. You cannot go wrong. The outdoor seating is ample and there are often good dogs walking by. 10/10 on all levels. This visit, I purchased a coke from the deli across the street and make a black cow with two scoops of their vanilla ice cream. So good.

Great new spot in the center of the neighborhood! Delicious ice cream, welcoming staff, sweet little benches to hang out on outside - totally inviting. Thank goodness it's ice cream and not another nail salon, real estate office, or bank. Welcome, Heap's!

Ice cream time! The Mango Sticky Rice flavor is a standout--such a unique and delicious option. The staff are super friendly, and the vibe, branding, and interiors really elevate the experience. And don't forget--Heap's gives you a free ice cream on your birthday!

I grabbed a couple of different things including a butter crunch cookie, a pumpkin crispie ice cream sandwich and some other stuff to try since it's a little far for me to get here generally. I was blatantly dismissed after my order intake, payment, followed by receipt request with a rude scowl apathetic look. Why project an insolent attitude towards customers? Possibly ergophobia or social anxiety disorder to be surrounded by people? I exist. I matter. I am human. I am one life in the smallest measurement. "I exist as I am, that is enough." -- Walt Whitman By the power of observation, the next customer who went through the linear process of intake ordering, payment and waiting this same male server/cashier visibly made the same negative body language gesture again with disdain visible look. There is no reverence for customer service, but blatant insolent wayward behavior! Unfortunately, this male server/cashier appeared the sole worker on duty. Can this male server smile or nod to acknowledge customers' order request vs. "I wash my hands of you" vile negative body language? When requesting a printed sales receipt, it can only be either emailed or sent via text. Apparently, The Good Batch uses Square Register, a point-of-sale (POS) cashier register system as their paperless cash register, thus, no printed sales receipt will be printed but can only be either texted or emailed. I highly prefer Counterpoint as a functional and effective POS cash register for all retail brick and mortar businesses. The exterior appears to be a local, small quiet independent bakery business with a bakery glass display case loaded with various baked goodies accompanied with coffee. I entered with tempered expectations which was reduced to inhumane of near emptiness. This bakery offers British scones, but I have a strong predilection for American biscuits (either buttermilk or non buttermilk). There are ice cream sandwiches available. No comment for any as I did not purchase. Nota Bene: "Return Policy: All sales are final." Price is extortionate exceedingly high for mediocre baked pastries. Business cards are available for grabs which also appears much difficulties for this same male server. I refused to include this business card to my collection box. Backed by Giacomo C. and Michelle W.'s negative reviews, I agree 100% The Good Batch does not entice my interest for a return visit. The Good Batch, a bakery business is accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington Street subway station in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn followed by a reasonable walk. Chocolate chip cookie $4.00 It was hard and very bland. It was not sweet nor semi-sweet in any form. It was not worth the trek to Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, the negative body language for insolent wayward behavior, followed by the acquiesce email receipt request and the extortionate exceedingly high price. I exited dispirited with utter despondence. Bye, Felicia!

Note: reservations are not required but definitely suggested!! This place was packed. Every table sat, but a few chairs at the bar. I give this place 5 stars, EVERYTHING was lovely! The dim lights, (I love a dark and moody restaurant) noise level, talk-able but good music in the background, food, drinks, service.... all of it TOP NOTCH. Let's get into the deets.... I ordered the Portia cocktail... if you like Mezcal, you should definitely try this one. Smoky and a little sweet, it was a delicious drink We order Pinsa Bianca for appetizers, the bread, roasted peppers and whipped ricotta all made for a light but delish start. We then dove into the rib-eye (for 2) DELICIOUS ! One of the best steaks outside of a steakhouse I have had. The marbling gave it great flavor, salted well and the perfect char on the outside, it was accompanied by French fries and broccolini. All a great addition; The broccolini was surprisingly not too bitter which was nice. To round it off we ordered their version of a Lemon tart! It was the perfect level of sweet and tart! We got the lobster with white asparagus with eggs to share. Yum. It really did not need the eggs. The hollondaise was delicious. We ordered. Oxtail rags, carbonara, and the fish pasta -Sardinian nod. All were excellent. The carbonara could have used a bit of pepper and a bit more pecorino. Guanciale? Or bacon? Also had the scallops which we loved. I ordered a Bellini but it was not a Bellini. No peach. Just a cherry - odd. The Lemon scone was the best we have had - served with cream and lemon curd. Amazing The Carmel custard dessert - was rich but a bit one note. It did come with a crunchy buttery cookie. The ice creams were homemade. The restaurants is lovely. Food wonderful. Service friendly and quick. But it is so loud you are literally yelling at your companions. Maybe they could turn down the music ? Regardless. We love this place!
