I figured talking to someone couldn't hurt, and I wasn't forced to go back if I didn't like it. I saw Kristin for the first time about two years ago, and I really appreciate her non-judgmental, careful way of getting you to open up. I'm not someone who talks about much, really, but this turned out to be the best investment I've made in myself. While it's expensive, it's worth it. Even just going for "maintenance" sessions is helpful. I started off every other week, but that wasn't enough, so I went once, sometimes twice a week for a couple of months. After that, I was able to use the tools she gave me in the real world, and the benefits really stick. You matter to people in this world, so you have to matter to yourself too.

In the moments when I felt completely lost, Kristin offered not just guidance, but genuine care and understanding that provided me with the strength to continue moving forward. Kristin didn't just help me survive those hardships, she helped me grow. Her compassion, wisdom, and ability to create a safe space allowed me to rediscover myself and build a life on healing and well-being. I am forever grateful for Kristin's unwavering support and the profound impact she has had on my life. If you are considering therapy, I would highly recommend S.A.G.E. Therapy Center. Having the right therapist at your side makes all the difference and Kristin is truly exceptional.

There was no other drug or alcohol abuse in our home or by my child. Instead of coming to me, the parent, the therapist and management here took it upon themselves to report me and my child to CPS. Apparently, because I was not seeking rehab or punishing them or something, I was a negligent parent? My kid is in high school and struggling. Weed is not the worst thing my kid could be doing!!! After a monthlong CPS investigation, which was extremely stressful and traumatic, the case was closed because there was NO ABUSE occurring. After all that BS, I researched and discovered that I could procure a marijuana patient card for my child even though they are under 18. Now, in the eyes of these crackpots and the law, my kid can smoke pot to help their aliments. BUT, we had to find a new therapist and start all over in the process to get my child the help they need. These people wasted time, resources, and completely shattered my child's trust in care providers. My child was severely punished for being honest, which is a terrible message to give children that are struggling and seeking help and support. If you are a real person in the real world who wants to be treated as such, DON'T GO HERE!!

I don't leave many reviews, but I really wanted to take the time to write this. I had been feeling…read morereally stuck emotionally lately, and had my first healing session with Julie the other day. I genuinely had such a positive experience. I went into it open minded, but honestly wasn't sure exactly what to expect, or how it would work. Julie was so down to earth, non judgemental, and comfortable to work with, the next thing I new I had tears flowing and was releasing emotions I didn't even realize I was holding. I definitely didn't truly believe any pain could be relieved by her healing process, especially in one sessio, and was so humbled to experience myself how, as I released certain emotions, some back pain I was feeling eventually melted away to almost completely gone. I was honestly shocked, at how effective the process was, and now am really motivated to do mlre of the exercises she teaches. I wanted to write a little more for those truly interested, so they can get a sense of who she is. Julie is not only a natural, compassionate healer, but she is one of the most genuine people I've met in a while. We met last summer at the pool on our neighborhood, and just connected. I'm from Boston and her son's name was Boston , haha! From there, when we saw each other in passing, usually while she was out walking her dog, we got to talking. What I love about Julie is she's so good with animals, my 6 year old ( she gives such great parenting advice to me) and is just such an authentically kind person. I also respect that she is open minded (esp. with all spiritual beliefs/ religions), always learning, and she's not pushy at all with her business. I kept asking her questions about it because I have seen over and the past six months how she her self keeps improving her life. She looks so young for her age and is energetic, positive, has been losing weight and her skin is glowing for her age! She also is so honest and understands theat healing isn't linear and admits openly about how she is still healing and releasing emotions even after years ( she's been through a LOT of trauma) I also love Julie because I can see clearly that she's not just in this business for the money, she truly loves helping others improve, and she practices what she teaches. If you are struggling with any emotional or physical pain, or feeling stuck in life for whatever reason, I highly recommend trying out working with Julie. She's an amazing human, and she has a true gift for healing others. 2025

She is verbally abusive to patients, their family members, her employees, and her tenants. It's a hideously rundown property, without exterior lighting, without adequate parking (including broken down vehicles in 25% of the available spots). No one should subject their loved ones to this prison. No professional who values themselves or their patients, should work for this woman. The CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES COMMUNITY CARE LICENSING DIVISION should shut down this property, and anything Judith Moss touches. She is a monster.

Our daughter suffers from serious mental illness and I was looking for a place that would help her. She had just recovered from Covid, so no facility in CA would accept her for 3 months. We had also found that some programs used interns and students to run their therapy groups, which I did not feel was appropriate nor worth the cost of these facilities. For what they charge and the level of treatment their residents need, they should be using highly qualified licensed therapists and Psychiatrists. After talking to Judith on the phone the first time, she assured me that my concerns would not be an issue with Affinity. She said everything I needed to hear, including how their professionals had up to 37 years of experience! I checked out the website and was impressed by the level of professionals and their 2 facilities. However, below is what I found out, starting Day1: 1.) They were so disorganized that their paperwork had to be printed in front of us, while we waited, even though they knew for several days, that we were arriving to admit our daughter. That's no big deal, but when they handed us the paperwork, it was completely out of order, disheveled and over-all a mess! I had to take my time to figure out what page went with what page. There were probably 30 pages in this mess! We didn't even have time to read through everything! She said it would be an hour meeting, so we had made plans for the rest of the day. So I filled them out and passed them to our daughter to sign. We did not really know what we were signing, but I assumed it was the typical forms I give my clients. We never got copies so we don't know, but we were there about 90 min! 2.) While sitting there, I asked the Licensed Therapist about the other facility shown on the website. He explained she had sold that several years ago. I didn't think too much of that, but then she asked us if we would like to see this facility. Sure! She proceeded to take us on a tour and introduce us to the residents, breaching their Confidentiality! (UNETHICAL!) The facility was a huge, gorgeous Spanish Style home on a very large lot, overlooking the city below. However, it did not compare with the website pictures. There was clutter everywhere! The whole website is false advertising, in my honest opinion! (Keep reading!) 3.) The Licensed MFT also does not perform any of the therapy, unless you want to pay him $150/hour, out-of-pocket for 12 sessions of his specialized form of therapy, which was not even psychotherapy, but some type of electronic waves administered into the Brain. It was not even supposed to be helpful for our daughter's condition. So residents get only group therapy, run by one student and one Intern, and no individual therapy at all, unless they pay extra. I also checked him out on the State Board website and his license history was odd. He kept renewing his Intern license over a period of many more years than is normally allowed. That would be a red flag to me, knowing how licensing works! 4.) Additionally, the only "professional with 37 years of experience", their Psychiatrist, had been deceased since May of that year, 7 months prior to my talking to Judith! There was no reference as to who the new Psychiatrist was. I found out it was a Pharmacist with special training to prescribe psych meds. 5.) Prior to leaving at our first visit, I asked about visiting rules, days, and other rules for family. She said to just come by whenever you want - no appointment necessary. I thought that was odd, because I don't want to interrupt a session. So the first few weekends, that's what we did and it was fine. Our daughter knew we were coming, so we picked her up and spent the weekend with her. Then a few weeks later, we arrived with her children to pick her up for her birthday and Judith YELLED at me at how this was so "unacceptable!" She never gave me a reason, but I simply told her what I remembered her telling me on the first day, and she sarcastically said, "You're right, Carol! You're ALWAYS RIGHT! Just take her!" 6.) She hires other residents to work for her, in lieu of paying for services. (UNETHICAL!) According to our daughter, the meals were mostly cold cereal for breakfast, top-ramen for lunch, and casseroles for dinner. 7.) Judith got insurance pre-approval for the first week, but she neglected to get pre-approval for the remaining 12 weeks, so her billing was COMPLETELY rejected by insurance! She ended up getting paid about what it was worth! From what I experienced with Judith, as a mental health professional with 34 years of experience, I have a couple of ideas for what is going on with her, from just seeing her symptoms and how dishonest and unethical she operates. I will try to report her to the licensing agencies, again, but they don't seem to really care.
