My family brought me out for Father's Day to have dinner. We started with some delicious appetizers! We had the spring rolls, pork belly bao and fried egg rolls which were all excellent and very tasty and fresh. Our entrees were as equally delicious. I had short rib Pho which was with a large short rib on top which I was pleasantly surprised. The server was very pleasant and professional and kind. Top of the line service!!! Delicious food that came out quickly and was hot just like I like it. I had the garlic noodles with shrimp because I'm gluten free and it was superb!! Friends had other items that I didn't try, because mine was so yummy. There aren't many tables, however, if you must wait to get in, this place is worth every minute. Honestly I was a bit disappointed by the pho. My husband ordered chicken pho which was fine, but not great. I ordered the spicy lemon grass pho, and honestly it was a bit gross. It tasted like the chef spilled a container of shrimp paste in the broth. Additionally, it had weird processed meats in it, which were not included in the description. There was no shrimp dumpling. Finally, the pho was seved with no basil leaves and one tiny dessicated lime slice for two bowls of pho. I get there are shortages now due to covid, but one sad lime slice is just stingy. We had to ask for a second one as did a nearby table of two. Overall, this restaurant was disappointing. read more

Now if you don't know, this family has more than one place in Rockland and has been around for over 20 years making this delicious Pho. The owners of this location also owned and operated a location in Ridgewood, NJ. Let's talk about it! It's in Nyack so parking...is ample and if you are there for dinner it's also free parking. The staff is friendly, and knowledgeable and responsive. The space is well decorated and has room to feel safe social distancing. It also has outside seating. The food....well you know I think the Pho is BOMB!!! So are many of the other options on menu. Like the chicken wings, the dumplings, the egg rolls, and the pork belly!! A surprising find! Who would've guessed we'd enjoy delicious Pho with a broth that will warm your soul and tastebuds. Ribeye was delicious and tender. Chicken was equally delicious. Wish I asked for some fresh jalapeños. Shaking beef was devoured by the kids and the fries were an unusual surprise. Grilled pork chops came cut up so no knife was necessary. Got the egg on top which made the rice perfect. Grilled beef summer roll and spring rolls were well prepared with flavor that was a step above the rest. Wishing this restaurant was located closer to home. We stopped by on our way home from visiting family yesterday and they had just opened. We ordered two drinks, the Hanai Ho (deliciously fruity) & the Little Buddha (tastes like a Heineken.) We also ordered the drunken ribs as an appetizer, the Bun Bo Hue, and the Shaken Beef as our mains. Everything was delicious the broth in the Bun Bo Hue was perfectly spiced and full of flavor. Probably the best Pho I've had so far. The location is on a main ave which I can see getting tricky for parking some days (only negative I could see really,) but we went on a Sunday so we had no issues finding street parking. The restaurant itself is located in a plaza the staff is very friendly and helpful when ordering. They also have a self pour draft wall which is pretty cool if you are looking to create your own flight and try new beers. We will certainly be back! read more

We are so lucky to have such an amazing Vietnamese restaurant right here in Nyack. My husband is Vietnamese and very critical of Vietnamese restaurants and we just love Mekong district. Our kids are pho snobs (they love their grandmother's) and this is the only restaurant they will devour their bowl. The combo or oxtail pho is very authentic. My personal favorite is the ribeye and brisket pho. We also regularly order the egg rolls, wings and waffles and drunken ribs. I also love the vermicelli noodles with pork chop. This place was decent. The broth was good but had a layer of oil to it. Ive read reviews that suggest that this is the best in Nyack and I disagree. The vietnam grill is better. My real qualm with this place is they give you SO LITTLE BROTH. not enough to cover the meat and cook it. I then heated up the broth and poured it back in and it was still too little to cook the broth!! I have eaten at least 20 different pho spots throughout the hudson valley, NJ, and NYC. Coming from "The Big Apple " I've tried Pho from dozens of restaurants ranging from hole-in-the-wall to Michelin Star, so naturally when I saw that a Vietnamese restaurant was opening in my hometown I HAD to go. There is no shortage of thai food in Nyack and yet I don't remember a single place offering Vietnamese throughout my entire childhood so I was anxious that it would love up to my expectations. And boy did it deliver! I've eaten here on three separate occasions so far, first to test out the Pho, second the Bahn Mi, and third (after being blown away by both staples) to explore the less conventional items on the menu. Every visit was an absolute pleasure! Upon walking in, you are greeted by an incredibly accommodating and friendly staff in an environment that feels both at-home and high-class (a very difficult balance to strike). On my last visit they had even installed a state-of-the-art craft beer station that was unlike anything I have seen in all of Rockland county and NYC--perfect for someone like myself who likes to try a little bit of everything. I don't think I even need to get into how tasty the pho and Bahn Mi were, I include myself in the category of people who judge any Vietnamese restaurant on the quality of these two items and Mekong District's were so good that Ive made a point of eating here every time I visit friends or family back home. The Kickin' Octopus and Viet Carpaccio blew me away and despite my skepticism, the bartender encouraged me to try the Waffle Wings which turned out to be some of the best chicken and waffles I've ever had!!! I could not speak highly enough of this establishment, it's now my go-to restaurant in the area and my highest recommendation if you are planning having a nice dinner or even grabbing a quick bite while visiting Nyack!
