First and foremost, Samantha was amazing. I believe she's the manager. She made the entire experience awesome. Without her i would be giving this review 2 stars. Read why. Been here a few times. It's a really good spot. The food is good and you can't beat the deal. This visit the restaurant was busy and I noticed staff being frustrated with one another. No idea who our server was. It was someone different every time. The guy who brought the salad threw the plates on the table and begrudgingly asked if I wanted fresh pepper. I said yes and he gave it a single twist and missed most of the plate before storming off. Keep in mind we didn't interact with this guy before so he was clearly angry at someone else having been made to bring salads to us. And when the steak came.. same guy.. Just threw (not exaggerating) the plates on the table and stormed off. Didn't even ask if we needed anything. Honestly the worst service I've probably ever had. This guy needs to find a new profession. He looked miserable and I saw his interactions with other tables were just as bad. They might do well to fire this dude. Restaurants are struggling right now and they don't need this guy costing them customers. Fortunately Samantha stepped in and finished the service. She's the best. I feel bad for her because if this is how the staff reacts, it's going to make running the restaurant so much harder. Overall I do love this place. Without Samantha it would have been our last visit. I also would have left no tip (uncommon scenario) but this visit would have deserved zero. After she saved the day I was compelled to tip. I hope this server is gone by time I return. I would recommend you go, but hope you don't end up getting this guy.

Came here for Valentine's day 2026 and the restaurant overbooked/did not plan properly for the influx of people coming! Everyone had a reservation but we were still waiting in line in the cold to get seated. We waited about an hour before getting seated (even with a reservation). Then it took another 2 hours to finish our meal entirely because the kitchen was just overwhelmed and our orders kept getting skipped. Our waiter was super nice and checked in on us and made sure we were taken care of in the end, but the Valentines dinner was just too chaotic.

Life is Short. F.....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends Before I start the review a special thank you for the hospitality to Samantha. If you read this review tell her Rich sent you. it was 8° on a Saturday night for those who followed me. I'm always looking for something that gives you that mmmmm once it hits your taste buds. What's better get your carnivorous fix on a cold day ?When you first walk in your greeted by a cool vibe, people come here for birthday parties and it looks like a great date spot. This place has a set menu for dinner. You get crispy on the outside soft and chewy bread with very nice savory butter. What the surprised me was the salad very simplistic, but with a touch of black pepper it was very very good. Yes I never mention about anything green. Then came the steak and shoestring fries perfectly cooked crispy fries, savory every bite then came the steak cooked exactly how you asked it to be. Make sure to get enough of their sauce to slather it all over the place. definitely worth checking out this place if you're in the area or planning a special event or date.

First time here for my son's birthday. He and his wife live here in Watertown and he wanted to come to Medium Rare, one of their favorite restaurants. The steak was excellent (my sauce on the side) & the fries so good! The cake was also so good - highly recommended... The service from our waiter, Andy, was outstanding. He was super friendly and make our dinner extra special... The ambience was nice, the place was fairly busy for a Sunday night. Definitely recommended & ask for Andy

I was hesitant to try this spot because of the limited brunch menu but I cannot say enough great things about the food and service. Andy was phenomenal. He was so attentive and took care of all of needs. $.25 mimosas for a Sunday brunch are unheard of in NC where I live. And, they were good! The bread basket that arrived at the table set the tone for the indulgence ahead. That was some of the best tasting bread with a nice crust and soft center. Forget counting carbs at this spot. After bread, you can choose among fresh fruit, a salad and a parfait. I had the parfait without the dried fruit and it was really good. Then came the main course; I chose the French toast and substituted eggs for the sausage. I cannot tell you how delicious the French toast was. Think beignets in New Orleans! Crispy on the outside and super soft and sweet on the inside. The scrambled eggs were also extremely good. When in the area, definitely try this spot for brunch!

Has a set menu of their steak, fries, salad and bread. They sat us down pretty quickly even though it was crowded. The bread and salad were good but I was less impressed by the fries and steak. It might be because they were busy but their service was super slow and they never came to check on us. They also didn't really explain how it worked and that there was a second round. It took a long time to get their attention for anything.

We went for brunch today to try their pre-fixe offerings. The restaurant is set up bistro style, casual vibes with small tables and chairs throughout and lots of natural light. The vibe was great this morning with 90's music pumping and smiling staff members about. We were shown to our table and we made our brunch selections - steak frites and poached eggs, French toast, and their 'famous' Benedict. The brunch menu comes with a starter (yogurt parfait, fruit cup, or salad) and they offer .25 cent mimosas, bloody Mary's, or screwdrivers. Our server brought over their warm French bread and butter while we were waiting for our main dishes to arrive. The French toast was buttery and crispy and the steak frites and poached eggs were good, my steak arrived at the perfect medium rare temperature , but the Benedict was weird - sort of like a mashed pot roast on top of toast, it was by far the least favorite dish of the table. While it wasn't a bad experience, the food didn't live up to the hype and it wasn't worth the drive from Providence.

I recently went on a date with my boyfriend to a fantastic spot at Arsenal Yards in Watertown, MA (107 Bond Sq). If you're craving steak, this is the place to be! The $35 pre-fixed menu is a steal for what you get: fresh-baked bread , a refreshing salad , and a perfectly cooked medium rare steak with crispy fries . The steak was thin but cooked just right and served with their delicious housemade peppercorn roux sauce--it was mighty fine! You get two generous helpings of steak, which is definitely a win! For dessert, they offer a Key Lime Pie and an Ice Cream Sundae . The ice cream sundae is HUGE--seriously, it could feed four people! It also comes with these unique chocolate balls that add a special touch. The Key Lime Pie was fresh and topped with just the right amount of whipped cream . The desserts are an extra $12, but totally worth it! The cocktails were fabulous too, and my personal favorite was the Lavender 75 --a gorgeous purple drink that was both beautiful and delicious! Overall, I'd give this place: Food: 8/10 Affordability: 7/10 (a great price for a steak meal) Ambiance: 8/10 (perfect for a date night)

We had been to the location in Bethesda, MD and were so excited to see they opened up in MA. We made reservations for Friday at 7pm. The bar was pretty busy, but the area where we were sat was not as busy. It took about 5 minutes for us to be greeted and about 7 more minutes before the water and wine was brought out to us. The bread was fresh and the salad was really tasty. Our first round came out pretty quickly and it was as good as we remembered and cooked perfectly. I finished both my water and wine, but our waiter never came by to check on us until after our second round of steak. He missed out on selling us another glass of wine. The fries were seasoned very well. We sat with our empty plates for 17 minutes (I started a timer) before our waiter even walked by us. Two managers even walked by with our empty plates and empty glasses and didn't even acknowledge us. We ordered the hot fudge sundae, which took quite a while to come to us, and much to our surprise, there was not hot fudge! There was caramel, which we aren't fans of. Could potentially be an allergy issue for others. Communication from our server would have been helpful. We didn't say anything because at that point we had been there for 90 minutes and needed to get home to our infant. We will go back, but not any time soon as the service was truly the worst we've experienced in a long time. We are pretty low maintenance, but going without water while eating steak was not pleasant.

One of my favorite places for dinner (and brunch) in the Arsenal Yards area. Is this the best steakhouse in town? No! Is this some of the best bang for buck in town? Absolutely. Love their steak frites, that secret sauce, and the fact that this is insane value for money. For brunch, it's even better value. A slightly larger menu AND $0.25 mimosas. Magical! Most brunch places will get you a mimosa and an app for $38. At Medium Rare? You get the whole enchilada. If you have a big friend group, splitting the bill becomes a dream. Remember that the miracle is the value. For what you get, it doesn't get much better than this. Also love that sauce.

I have been to the DC location and didnt realize that they opened one in Watertown. My gf was craving entrocote when we were in NYC a week before so we went here. Make a reservation as we went on Sat night and the place was full and people kept coming in. So you know the deal here. Steak, fries which you get 2 rounds. One garden salad and bread. The salad was simple, oil and vinegar, nothing special. The bread was actually very good. The steak and fries were excellent, the meat was tender and the sauce was also. I didnt get dessert but they looked good. The service was fast and our waiter was excellent.

I like this place, but I should love it. My second time here, first time to actually get food. I had the steak and eggs. They came out without a flaw. Would recommend. The staff was fine. No one blew me away. I sat at the bar and there were things that weren't up to par in my opinion. The tv was off. It's NFL playoff weekend and they should have had the tv on one of the sports channels with cc. The bar was very lackluster. Not sure if the are limited on spirits, or only showcase the 6 I saw on top of the bar. I can see the staff had their coats and bags in plain sight behind the bar. Not really what I'm looking for around my food and drink. Also, next to the dishwasher, a can of raid! Definitely not what I want to see around my food and drink though I know it's necessary. Lastly, after I finished my meal the bartender asked if I wanted dessert or coffee. I declined and he brought me my bill. I wanted another beer but he failed in asking me if I was done drinking at his empty bar. A bartender should always if the patron would like another. The dining room and decide were nice. Very pleasant, but the music may have been a touch loud. This place has great potential. A little more training on customer service, and improving the bar area and this place will be a hit.

Bonus points for an extravagantly laminated menu that has pictures of every single dish rendered in uber-colorful detail. We got the: papaya salad with shrimp; chicken satay; crab fried rice; pad thai; and mango sticky rice. More than enough food to feed two people, including a little bit for leftovers the next day. The crab fried rice - please, please get this. I'm usually not a fried rice person, as my parents taught me long ago that rice is just filler and must be avoided at all costs at the buffet line, but their crab fried rice is stellar. Loaded with generous chunks of real crab and so flavorful, with the smokiness of the wok permeating through. I also usually skip the pad thai at any Thai restaurant but I loved this rendition, beautiful balance of sweet and salty, and with all the necessary accoutrements, like chopped peanuts and a squeeze of lime. I would say the chicken satay is maybe a skip but it comes with an incredible peanut sauce that I love to slather on top of everything. Mango sticky rice: eh, it's not the season for mango. The one that came with ours was definitely a bit anemic and limp. The warm sticky rice covered in condensed milk with the faintest tinge of pandan green was good enough to eat on its own. They're really busy so not the best place to sit and talk with your friends all evening. Also not a lot of street parking on a busy street. I suggest walking or taking the bus over. Need to order the fried fish next time. You know a Thai place is excellent when I'm lured away from my beloved green curry to try the other options.

Prices were a bit higher than similar places at home but it is also Newton so $16 cocktails and $22 burger w fries is probably average. Plus, the quality was worth the price IMHO.
