#19 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week) Another restaurant bookmarked for weeks before we got a chance to try it. We had a free Saturday and booked it to the food truck which was behind Chili's in Miliani. There are only 4 items on the menu including the Hawaiian Hammah which is a food challenge. Sometimes though less is more. We settled on the OG Dawg ($14.95) and the Wagyu Burger ($16.95). We added jalapeno's on both items which was an extra $1 for each one. They also offer a Truffle Burger ($15.95) but we don't like truffle so that was a no go. While we waited one of the owners hung out with us to talk story, tell us about this business and his other businesses overseas. Really chill guy and nice way to spend our time waiting. The food didn't take long and we headed home to eat. We were sharing both items so we cut them in half and dug in. Both items came with a side of kettle chips. The OG Dawg was good. The hot dog is unique because it does not have any casing with makes it nice and tender. My favorite part of the dawg was the Vietnamese pickled vegetables which worked well with the pork flavor of the dawg. The burger was good as well. My honey said he could do without the sauce but I liked it. It's like 1000 Island dressing. I am an onion fan and this burger had grilled onions on it. The only negative we really had was the burger patty was not that large so it seemed a little lost on the burger. It's like a smashburger but it just wasn't enough meat. You can add another burger patty for an extra $5 but then the burger is $21.95 and I can't bring myself to pay that much for a burger. I'm not going to deny that it was a very good burger and dawg and we may be back but to be honest, the price might keep us away.

    Oklahoma Onion Burger $11 Ono!!!

I've passed this truck a handful of times and have taken notice the lines of customers it's drawn in...something must be good right and knew I had to try it one day. I'm all for a nice burger and although Mililani Town Center has your plethora of burger choices surrounding I would say go and support local and spend the same you would at Jack in the box or Five Guys. Overall customer service was great, not too long of a wait today as there were maybe 2 or 3 others ahead of us... which doesn't seem to be the norm in its typical busy hours I'm assuming. Probably got there at a good time. Although the burgers don't come as a combo choice with drinks or fries you can order the truffle fries to share and they are better than a $5 fry you would pay at Jacks. Served with a truffle ranch sauce!!! Cmon man!!! When we arrived home and took these pretty photos you see... we finally devoured. Tasty, juicy, and messy! Everything you want in a burger in my opinion. The grease that spilt out of that Oklahoma onion was the best part! Get yourself over to this truck and support local! Skip Chili's or Five Guys or Jack in the Box and get this instead! Heard they have a special deal if you go to Mililani HS!!!

Out front look for the truck and the Red Wagyu Flag Flying

Right out front of Kam Hwy across from the Freedom Gas Station. Look for the red wagyu burger flag flying and look for the white truck then you know they there. They been out here for a while and been all over the TV lately. Main platform to find them is Instagram (Meatandbunshawaii). Got the wagyu burger today. Also have specials once in a while. Today's special was a truffle burger using their "plain jane" 100% local beef (not the wagyu) and a truffle sauce. Burgers were food and fresh but I honestly can't tell my burger meat apart if was wagyu sirloin chuck etc. Still a good burger knowing it was fresh farm raised and ain't no fast food burger. Love the brioche buns, great texture and the grilled onions rounded it off. Service it's a 2 man show, 1 being the cook. So be prepared for a small wait if there is a long line. Always gotta show my love and support to these small mom and pops and food trucks.

So for awhile now I've been seeing the posts on IG and did some research on Yelp and wanted to try these wagyu burgers from this Meat and Buns Hawaii food truck that makes it up to Mililani and today was the day I was able to finally stopped by! Well worth it and gotta say Braddah Claude was right... tastes just like my fave In 'N Out burgers (always first stop when I fly to the mainland - how did he know?) but made from Wagyu beef! I'll definitely be back and you guys should definately check out his food truck and pop ups in Mililani, Kaimuki and my old stomping grounds in Kailua! Tell him T-Bone sent ya cuz your opu will be glad I did! #meatsndbunshawaii #justlikeinnout #youhadmeatwagyu

First timers, the burgers are mean! We were looking at all the cars in the drive-thru, they made the wrong choice....

So good, definitely check this place out. The burger was delicious perfection and it was served with chips (it had a Maui onion chip flavor which really compliments the burger) I can't wait to try the other items on the menu. Highly recommend if you enjoy a good burger!

The folks at Meat and Buns are class act people! They are willing to make sure that you get the best burger they can possibly make. I was very impressed at their immediate response and willingness to make sure the burger I get is right... Not much food places are willing to go the extra mile but these guys are! I have enjoyed their burgers many times before and I am even more appreciative of the food they make now because they take the time and the EFFORT to make it RIGHT... other food trucks, learn from these guys. Thank you Claude Josh and Reyn for the awesome burgers! Bugga was MEAN as always! The Truffle Burger was killa!!! MAHALO M&B!

Truffle burger, and truffle fries 10/10

Forgot my order I waited for a bit... The bradda and wahine working was super apologetic, they took care of me. Goes to show these guys get real aloha even tho they make mistakes always willing to do better. Food was mayyyyjah as you can see smashed the burger and fries 10/10 even with the minor slip up.

Walked in and was welcomed nicely by girl behind the counter. The menu is posted up above her and in nice large easy to read letters. We were anxious to try their milkshakes as heard many good things. We ordered the bacon burgers with fries but when we asked for the milkshake she told us the machine wasn't working. Wasn't working? On a Friday night at 6:30 with no sign on front door saying this or at the counter either or could have told us before we started the order. Just saying because the front window had a large sign advertising their shakes so if it's not working - post a sign "out of order." Come to find out they were "cleaning it." Again... cleaning jt on a Friday night at 6:30? This happens at the end of the shift. Not anytime during the shift. Waited outside for our food and they have several large round tables with connected seats, so be careful getting in and out to not trip over the connected bar. Our food was in a paper bag and when we opened it up the burgers looked very unappetizing. Smashed bun with burgers haphazardly on top of each other. Cheese messily smeared. Hardly any of the extra toppings which are free, but still, thin tiny tomato slices and a tiny touch of lettuce leaf. And then, we couldn't find the bacon! Lifted up both our burgers and also the second patties but no bacon. Hubby went inside with both burgers and they said "oh sorry no bacon?" Handed him aluminum foil with overdone and some pieces burned to a crisp inside and they were cold. They get one star for the French fries. Perfectly prepared with slight crisp and mealy on inside. Served in large paper Dixie-looking cups and she gave us little cups filled with ketchup which was good. The soda machine was nice- clean and lots of selection. Also free water and ice. All in all we paid $50 for our meal- two double patty bacon burgers with fries and one small root beer. Sorry to say we won't be returning unless to try their milkshakes but we will ask them first if the machine is working.

Last night I went to the food truck event at Kapolei Commons. I waited in line for about 10 minutes-nothing outrageous. But then I had to wait for my food for over 30 minutes. Even though I provided my name during checkout, employees were just calling out the name of the dish. Then everyone who ordered that dish was supposed to raise their hands. Then the employee just randomly selected the customer. The girl waiting next to me has been waiting for 3 dishes for over 40 minutes. And worse yet, the orders weren't coming out together. The family next to me waited over 20 minutes for 3 dishes so the first dish was cold by the time the last dish came out. At one point an employee asked everyone to raise their hands if they ordered the garlic shrimp dishes. After 22 people raised their hands, the employees started talking about how they different have enough pineapples. The employees obviously weren't working well together-the employees outside the van kept yelling at the employees in the van. Last night was definitely my last time eating here!

The food delivers everything you expect from Chili's -- bold flavors, comforting classics, and sauces that absolutely hit the mark. Their ranch, queso, avocado, and mozzarella sauces were all on point and really elevated everything I ordered. The menu has definitely changed since the last time I was here, but in a good way. Plenty of options, and everything felt fresh and familiar at the same time. Around 1:00 pm the restaurant was surprisingly quiet, which made for a relaxing lunch. The space was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. A special shoutout to my server, Daphne. Even though she's still in training, she was completely on top of things -- attentive, friendly, and confident. She made the whole experience even better. Overall, a great choice for lunch and a solid reminder of why Chili's remains a go‑to spot for casual dining. Marie
