Big Arch and French Fries
Lori W.

I love this McDonald's, they're super efficient, very kind, and the food is already good. I barely ever wait in line in the drive through as it's super speedy to make it through especially if you mobile order. The one employee is super kind and is always friendly on the mic and waves when I drive by. I finally tried the Big Arch and it was pretty good, I also enjoy several other things on the menu as well. I appreciate that when I do go inside the bathrooms are always spotless and everything's clean in the dining area. Love that this is my daily lunch spot. I sure will miss it when I move.

Employees are always friendly, and I get a correct order every time. You know what helps, is using the app. No room for error hearing your order, and you get great deals. Staff is nice here and works hard. Beautiful location and one of the cheaper places to eat in Vail. I've gotten food here every few months for years.

Dry and nasty

The fries are old and cheeseburgers are cold and not fresh again. I spend my hard earned money for this crap? What is wrong with cooking or fresh? I don't want fries hours old and a cold dry cheeseburger.

the price of a cheeseburger

Absolute garbage! $7 for sandwich? No fries no drink, and the burger was dry. Not expecting much from McDonald's, but really not good!Super Flat Burgers

Receipt in Silverthorne. Notice this is for 2(!) drinks.

They made us feel SO welcome, included all the extras and joked and laughed with us while preparing the food. The quality of food here is wonderful. Fresh, well made, seasoned and cooked, great options of proteins and carbs, and just some of the best "fast" food I've ever had. My favorite was a bowl with the cauliflower mash, smoked brisket, and guacamole, but others in the group said they had the best steak quesadilla in their lives there. There's also grilled adobo chicken, pulled pork, spicy chulula chicken as well as a vegetarian option. Portions are very generous and provide great value for the price. For between $7-11, you get a full, quality, healthy, fresh, made-from-scratch, delicious meal. Can't beat it! The restaurant was very clean, all the food was hot, and they had enough space to allow us to eat indoors while also social distancing from other guests. The atmosphere was cheerful, even though we later found out that they were short staffed with some managers working double shifts. Honestly, we were blown away by the service, food quality, and overall experience. Felt more like a local "hot spot" than a chain restaurant. We can't wait to go back!!! Keep up the good work, guys! We appreciate you!

The staff appeared to be speaking only Spanish while he was there, which made the experience feel less welcoming. Also, for a restaurant in upscale Vail, I was surprised that public restroom access wasn't available. Had I been the one stopping in, that likely would have been a deal-breaker for me. The food seems good, but the overall customer experience left a lot to be desired.

To be honest, I didn't even want pizza for dinner, and was bracing myself for your typical gluten free, diary free pizza, but I was in for a treat and really glad I tried it! I ordered the gluten free, diary free, egg free crust, with vegan cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and olives. I also got a side of sauce. I placed my order online. After I placed my order, the website said my pizza would be ready in 22 minutes. I really don't know if I arrived early, late, or right on time, but my pizza was ready when I got there. The man behind the counter was very nice and upbeat. He helped me right away. After I paid and got the pizza in my car, I had to open it and sneak a peak (it smelled amazing).....it looked fantastic, just full of veggies!! I got home and opened the pizza, it was still hot. I had two slices and it was fantastic. I was disappointed that I couldn't eat a third, but am excited for leftover pizza later. The gluten free crust was thin and crispy. I am glad I had the extra sauce to dip it in. I will return the next time I am in Vail. PS. I have no doubt the regular crust, regular cheese pizza's are great here if the gluten free, diary free one was great! Enjoy!

It didn't have any sauce... there was a heavy layer of cheese which wasn't great. There were a handful of tomatoes. Margherita I expect a balanced pie with good sauce base. The pizza is not my favorite giving it two stars because the people were kind and they were the only thing open at night.

We literally had a terrible time and couldn't stop talking about it the entire time we were there. We tried to order the burger and replace the pimento fondue with a slice of cheese. Waiter had no problem with it, and I bet that's ridiculously easy for the kitchen to do, especially because they have other menu items that have cheese slices in it (e.g. grilled cheese on the kids menu). But I guess some manager dude woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and decided that he needed to go on a power trip. He personally came over to our table to say that they will not replace the cheese. And then he had the nerve to ask us why we don't want the pimento cheese. Does everyone have to like the flavor of pimento cheese? If I owned a business and one of my staff did that, I would have fired that person on the spot and given them advice to change their line of work because you can't fix or train out that sort of lacking judgement.

They weren't too familiar with the breakfast at the places we mentioned, but one person immediately said, "There's The Little Diner right down the street. It's very good and has even been featured on the Food Network." We decided to give it a try, and we are very glad we did. We arrived around 8:30 in the morning and sat at the counter. At the time we were the only customers there. A very nice lady brought us water and got me a coffee while we looked over the menu. It actually took us a while to decide because there were so many great sounding options. As we sat there deciding, more and more people started coming in. My wife ordered the sausage gravy over a biscuit with eggs and cheese grits, and I ordered the Eggs Benedict with potatoes. When the food arrived, everything looked excellent. The flavors matched the presentation too. My wife said the sausage gravy was outstanding, and my Eggs Benedict was excellent as well. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the potatoes were very good, and the hollandaise sauce had great flavor. While sitting at the counter, we spent some time talking with our server. She told us she had been there since shortly after the diner first opened. Unfortunately, she also explained that the building is scheduled to be demolished so condos can be built above the property, and they are unsure whether the diner will be able to return afterward. It's honestly sad to hear about a place this good possibly being pushed out because of rising development and rental costs. I understand building owners want to maximize profits, but it's disappointing when small local businesses that people truly enjoy are forced out by higher rents and redevelopment. Places like this are what give towns character. Overall, this place was excellent. Great food, friendly people, and exactly the kind of local spot you hope to find while traveling.
