I don't know how useful it will be to do a review of a McDonald's since people will pretty much come here anyway if they need a quick meal but.. Just in case this sways anyone.. We used the drive through window and got a breakfast meal, the service was wretched first of all. The girl at the window was rude and I'm not sure she knew how to smile. We were missing some items which she resentfully replaced and then had to return because our order was wrong. We complained to the manager but he was busy outside talking to a female so I don't think he payed us much mind.. I went to the new McDonald's thru the drive thru, i sat there for a couple minutes at the first window to pay and the lady didnt even acknowledge me so I went on to the 2nd window and they got all snarky because I didn't pay at the first window and I told them I sat there and the lady didnt acknowledge me. The most Homeless I have ever seen in one place with the exception of The Free Meal at Saint Vincent's. The Drive thru was packed, but who in there right mind could even get to the door. The dogs, backpacks, bycicle's and human bodies. You would be running the gauntlet of panhandling. NEVER coming back here. Or to any mcducks in this town. THIS one, my husband and I were driving back from an overnight getaway in Trinidad and thought we would stop by for a small to go breakfast before we got home. This was at about 6 or 7 in the morning. Hubs was driving so bviosly he ordered. Het got an egg-a-muffin and he ordered me a biscuit with egg, cheese, and bacon and a hash brown (remember when the hash browns were crunchy and you got 2 per order?). We were on our way and a nasty funk smell was wafting through the car. I jokingly said you got a nasty McGriddle? He laughed and kept eating. When I opened mine, the funk got worse, turns out they gave ME the nasty McGriddle, obviously not what I ordered. Now, normally, I would post a review about mcducks, cuz, I mean, it IS mcducks. First off the manager that was working when we were there early today was very disrespectful and rude to a disabled guy that was sitting drinking his coffee, the guy had a speech problem and the manager could not understand him the manager wanted him to leave because he thought he was just hanging around but the guy was trying to tell him he was drinking his coffee that he had two of. i could understand him. Was homeless people sleeping on the chairs and half naked bathing themselves in the bathrooms and asking for money in the parking lot but the disabled guy gets harassed. read more

I vowed to never come to this location again because of the rampant homeless problem an inaccuracy of orders that I had experienced in the past 3 visits but I thought I would give it one more try. This visit, not only was my order wrong BUT I was panhandled twice in the drive thru line. If there was a negative star rating, this terrible place would be eligible. One of the worst McD ever visited. The young girl taking the order was mentally not there at all - she kept mumbling the order and the cold coffee was nearly all white, there seemed to be just a trace of coffee in it. But the worst thing is the number of bums coming in and out of this place. Poor McD cannot seem to do anything about it. Just keep driving if you want to enjoy your meal - go to another place. read more

Saturday Morning as usual my friend and myself stopped into McDonalds to get our usual 3 large cups of coffee. We were on our last leg of a 1900+ mile motorcycle trip that took us from Portland Oregon down the I-5 over to Hollister and into Morro Bay, CA. We made several McDonalds stops everyday with absolutely no problems and had great service, that is until Eureka! Every McDonald's sold coffee, any size, for $1.00 plus tax with the exception of Eureka McDonalds who sold coffee for $1.89 + tax. When we indicated every store we were in throughout our trip was $1.00 it fell onto deaf ears. The counter person said "well that is what the owner sells his for".. When looking for napkins I was pointed to the counter by another employee with an I-Pod stuck into her ears. When I could not find the napkins in the area she was pointing, I looked at her and she was more insistent with her finger pointing at the counter. The napkins were behind the counter! To top off our wonderful experience, being snarky here, the bathrooms were 2 porta-potties....we did no see any construction going on. It was our opinion that all McDonalds followed the same policy...guess Eureka march's to there own beat. Store #315 will not see any of my business an I will spend the rest of my life telling people about the bad experience my riding buddy and I had.. read more

At the drive-thru window I got a really nasty look from the woman when I asked her for the katchup she forgot to put in with my fries and buger. Then I noticed the fries were cold and when I told her. she just shut the window in my face and walked away. Mind you I'm always super polite to workers. I'm also someone who has signed many petitions for fast food workers to be paid a living wage. I realized tonight there's a reason why this rude woman is working a dead end job at 11:30 pm the day after Christmas. I'm done signing petitions, or caring about these rude people. read more

This restaurant, just like any other has it's ups and downs. However the workers are usually friendly and usually will make sure my order is correct. But today I came in the store to order something with my kid. I ordered a happy meal and told the young girl at the counter no onions on the cheeseburger because my daughter is severely allergic. She didn't really pay much attention to me but agreed. After I got my order and my daughter's meal, I checked her cheeseburger and it had fucking onions on it. I Was pissed as a told the lady at the counter that my daughter was allergic. I asked to speak to a manager. He came over and acted extremely rude about the situation. He did apologize and fixed the sandwich but there was not a smile or care about his job at all. I couldn't believe how this guy would ever get promoted to management when you are just so careless about your job. Before leaving with my daughter who could have gone to the hospital I asked a worker what the man's name was and how long he had been working there. They said Edward and that he has been a manager for awhile and was just promoted to store manager. I guess McDonald's doesn't care how rude you are to people as long as you can run the store. Edward I cannot believe you were promoted with your kind of attitude. Just awful and plain rude. Someone needs to realize it and do something about it. read more

I was at work and didn't have time for breakfast. I could not leave, so I decided to get a delivery. One of the only places available was McDonalds, so I placed an order with Uber Eats online. This was only about 5 mins away from me, and should not have taken more than maybe 15 mins. But over an hour later it finally came. I was so hungry, I was having pains. They called in a driver not local for some reason, but from a town a few miles away. Then when he got there, they did not have the order ready, and he waited for a long time. He told them if they didn't get the order, he was just going to leave, so they got it finally. It was not the drivers fault, but McDonalds. The only reason I put 2 instead of one, was because the food still tasted OK. This is a common occurrence in this area. It just goes to show why services here are so bad, and limited. Too much laziness and lack of professionalism. There is a very poor work ethic, and a lot of drugs, and benefit fraudsters. A lot of people that have been in jail, and covered with tattoos etc. Trashy. Need to move out of here. read more

I've had several bad experiences in the past with this McDonald's until an employee named Courtney started working there! My husband and I like to go to this particular McDonald's its close to our house. Recently we moved across town and we come all the way over for the great customer service we get from Courtney! She always goes out of her way to make sure everything is right. She's always makes our fries nice and hot! They are very lucky to have her! read more

To the thousands of diabetics in Humboldt County and the additional thousands of diabetics driving through on US 101: Do not stop at this McDonalds. They have no Splenda or Equal to replace sugar in your drinks. I have eaten there once or more a day for many years. Several months ago, they cut out Splenda; now they cut off packets of Equal. And they are not coming back! So I'm not coming back either. How can they claim to offer custom drinks like Starbucks when they can't even serve low sugar coffee or ice tea? The loss of my business alone will cost them more than the annual bill for Equal. Good news! All the other fast food places in Eureka still offer Splenda or Equal. Go to them, but don't touch McDonalds at 1730 4th St. For diabetics, it is poison. read more

Ordered two sausage mcmuffins to go, they never called me. Left me waiting until I was late for work. When I asked for my money back, they girl looked around and tried to hand me an old greasy wrapper. I said I don't want that its old and cold by now, it been sitting for over ten minutes... the girl rolled her eyes and got the manager. Manager gave me money back, and I left for work, still hungry. Workers here are more worried about socializing, than taking care of customers. read more
