We like to treat ourselves to coffee here when we are in town visiting family. Our favorite is the Mexican mocha which I got today, and my partner decided to try the holiday eggnog latte. We loved our coffee!! So so good! Got an iced vanilla latte with an extra shot, hit my soul! The baristas that helped me gave me help with my husband's order, he loved his drink. I've come here many times, but I've never left a review. Today, I was going to get a coffee at Gold Rush on Broadway, but it didn't happen because of a bad experience. (See separate review.) I pulled in, and there were three vehicles ahead of me, and this was on a Monday afternoon. I stayed, because I knew that I would get served quickly. While I was waiting, one of the workers came out to my car to take my order. He, as everyone else here, was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a large white mocha, and. Handed him my refillable mug. He took it inside, and when I pulled up to the window, it was ready. Even with three cars in front of me, I was in line for less than 10 minutes. And it didn't seem like that at all. They even got me with an impulse upsell, without saying anything. There were some delicious looking pastries, just sitting there in the window, and I couldn't resist. I had a blueberry scone with my coffee. Everything was delicious. They use a very good quality coffee, it was hot, and it was rich. It was just right. I don't know who provides their pastries, but the blueberry scone had lots of blueberries in it, it was moist, and it was absolutely delicious. I would order that again in a heartbeat. As I have always been at jitter Bean, I left happy and satisfied. The price for the coffee and the pastry was very reasonable. I even had them put an extra dollar on my Apple Pay, , because they are very friendly hard-working people. I will continue to come back here. Thank you very much. read more

I get the "blustery bean" every morning...20 oz. with two shots of espresso and 3 chocolate covered espresso beans ground in with scoops of vanilla ice cream for an amazing coffee milkshake. Add a fresh pastry and you have the beginning of a deliciously beautiful day!!! Starbucks is a joke in comparison...not to mention, the friendliest service in the business!!! read more

Solid four stars! Now, I usually come here for their oat milk lattes so I can't really say too much about their other goods. The Good: - They have a drive-thru. - You also have the option of walking to their window to order. - Friendly service. - The oat milk lattes are creamy and delicious. - The espresso beans are fairly strong. - They are reasonably priced for the amount you get. - I believe their mixed berry scones are from Ramones Bakery and I use to get this a lot because well, they're good! I can't really think of anything to say in regards to them needing improvements so hurray for that! Anyway, I would definitely come back here especially since they are like walking distance to my home. Women came out to ask what we want we needed to see the menu so she just went back inside didn't say anything to us. Jitter bean has gone way down hill I grew up in eureka and this is BS. I was waiting in line at the Drive-Thru for around 5 minutes or more waiting to place an order then when I drive to order a Blustery Bean I'm denied by the woman taking my order. Stating that she was sorry that she could not complete my order, due to being before 9am that she "Can't make it; due to the morning rush..." Um well i was there for over 5 minutes waiting for the vehicle in front of me to drive off and THERE WAS NOBODY BEHIND ME!!. No Line and NO Morning rush, unless my 20/15 Vision is beginning to fail me... I think using a little common sense and perhaps rethink alleged policy might be something they should rethink. I've never been so disappointed. In fact I'm not sure I've ever had an issue to ordering something via drive-thru that can compare to incident like this. read more

A local coffee chain that makes a caramel drink better than Starbucks? Heck yeah! Every time I visit Eureka, I must visit Jitterbean. It's this cute little coffee drive through near Safeway that sells all kinds of great drinks. I've been here 3 times in the last week because I am such a fan. If you're a Starbucks fan/drinker, you know all about the frappuccinos. I typically order a caramel frappuccino because I am a blended coffee, caramel flavor loving kind of gal. To my delight and surprise, the caramel explosion (Jitterbean's version) rivals it theirs. In fact, it's even better. They even put a little chocolate covered espresso bean in it and give you an Andes chocolate mint (You know, the ones you get at Olive Garden after you pay for your dinner). How nice is that? Even if there is a small line, they will peak their heads out of the side window and take your order to minimize your wait time. Pretty cool! read more

On my first trip to Eureka I stop by jitter bean for my customers. kudos for being a drive through coffee place!! the girls that work there are super friendly, cute and fast. I drive up with my long list of drinks (15) and find out i can call ahead next time. sweetness. did i mention it's a drive thru? lol they also have pastries. i overheard one of the girls selling a chocolate croissant with such conviction but sweet at the same time i had the chai tea latte which was just ok in flavor... hard to find a good one. the customers LOVE their coffee drinks from here and everyone was thrilled to have it. like a treat. usually they are brough starbucks which is not as exciting. will be back in one month and will try a coffee then. read more

Great, local drive through coffee. If there's a long line of cars an employee will come out to take people's orders so they're ready once you get to the front. It's very efficient, and most importantly, it's good coffee. They also give you a mint with your coffee. Awesome. read more

I am one of those people who really prefers to go local and avoid chains however I was a fan of Jitterbean before the drive thru coffee chains even showed up in Eureka. The quality is always fantastic and the service is always very friendly and speedy. I won't give my business to anyone else in Eureka or Arcata. Great coffee at reasonable prices. This is a small drive thru hut. There is no indoor seating etc. the line often spills out onto the narrow 2 way street but don't let it discourage you. The line moves quickly as servers walk the line of cars and take your order. The menu is online if your not sure what you want. I would suggest looking at it before you roll in here. You can't see the one taped in the window on the back of the building and the one at the pay window is hard to read too. They have at least 4 different coffees brewed so there is something for every coffee drinker. There is also a variety of teas and fancy coffee drinks too. Everyone is friendly. They give you an Andes mint so you won't have coffee breath later and they give your pup a dog treat too! read more

If you don't mind waiting a little bit their coffee is excellent. I usually try to stay Paleo and get a black Americano. I think that the Americanos are pretty good considering they are a drive through coffee shop. If you are willing to go on a run later, their white explosions is great drink. read more

Great coffee that isn't bitter like Starbucks. Locally roasted beans and true brewed coffee, unlike another local competitor that uses water and espresso for "brewed coffee." One of the greatest things about JB is their dedication to giving back to the community. They sponsor a non-profit each month and donate a percentage of sales to that organization. They have "to go" containers of brewed coffee that are great for work meetings. You get coffee for 12, cups, cream, sweeteners, etc. Really a great company with low staff turnover. It's nice to hear them shout your order with your name because they have your drink memorized. And, they give treats to your dog when you drive through! read more

I love how friendly the staff always is. Very inviting. The fact that it is a local business is awesome as well. On the downside...they seem to be a bit inconsistant which sucks because I really enjoy going there. I find that if I get something too fancy they always forget something about it. For example: Nonfat Caramel Latte with extra shot of caramel.
