Excellent customer service by cashier. However, the to-go woman was rude and kept placing pick up order bags directly in front of my very rudely while I was at the cash register placing a dining in order with my children. Experienced two rude baristas that created an embarrassing and hostile environment towards my partner and I. Unsure if it was a gay thing or because of the way we were dressed. We were singled out for "loitering" despite having been in the store for barely five minutes and having ordered through the app. Asking us a couple simple questions would have deduced this info. There was at least one other person who was at a table since we were in the store that didn't order until way after us, but he wasn't called out for loitering. When we inquired for the first barista's name, the second person seemed hesitant to give it and then went to the back and started talking smack about us, in ear shot to the rest of the dining area. My coffee was NOT full And let's be honest, I went for caffeine. When I left the drive through picked up my coffee it was noticeably not full, took the lid off and YEP, just over 1/2 full If I hadn't been driving through I would have gone in to have them fill it up. I ordered in-store and waited for over 15 minutes just to get a drink they messed up. They clearly only cater to the drive-through and pick up orders. There were folks waiting in there before me, and they were still waiting when I left. They had 5 staff members working at one time and still couldn't keep up. Poor experience for sure. read more

They always seem to have the warmest smiles when I come in here. One time I ordered a wrong app order and an employee fixed it right up without hesitation. Staff are helpful when looking for a gift on the floor while hardly any customers are around. They chatted for quite a while before ordering and then the worker ignored the line and started doing other things. The line was FINALY addressed after some irritated protest from all of us in line. Just to find out they couldn't process my order of paying for something with stars. They said their system wouldn't process it but in reality they obviously had no clue what they were doing. Starting with the homeless loitering at the front entrance, the visit got horribly worse. Needed to use the restroom after a long drive from Mendocino. One was out of order and the passcode wouldn't work on the other. We were told to wait five minutes and re-enter the code. We did...and still nothing. This was the filthiest Starbucks we've ever visited. Stacks of supplies out in the open and tables were dirty. The prep areas were a mess, unorganized and garbage can full to the brim. This was a busy drive thru. But we went inside to order and eat. Tho busy, all baristas (5? of 'em) we're moving about quickly, efficiently with orders. We were acknowledged in a very welcoming tone immediately upon entering. After about 2 mins, our order was taken and within 3 mins our order was ready, announced by another friendly barista. This is a really cool Starbucks in Old Towne Eureka. It's large with a fireplace and black and white photos and a lot of character. This Starbucks is a drive-thru because people in Northern California love their drive through coffee (I swear I saw dozens on my trip.) The set up for the drive-thru in the back and the parking lot is a mess. It's so confusing and awkward. This is a pretty typical Starbucks with everything you'd expect. This one was much less busy on a Sunday Morning than the other Starbucks on the other side of town. read more

At about 6 pm tonight I drove over to the 5th st. Starbucks to be disappointed again that they are closed even though they say they are open until 8. This happens often sometimes earlier in the day, the other day I drove through and there was so many employees working they were bumping into each other, maybe someone needs to figure out the sheduling.
