Nothing could stop me from finding the gooey cinnamon dessert so I went on a quest to find Erlei's and upon arrival I was invited into a sweet quaint cafe with lovely decor and sweet beverages. The shop next door was his great grandpa's Ford Shop and the house on the other side belonged to his family as well. I love supporting a local, family business, even on a cold day! He told me all about Ferndale, how it is a small town and community. How it is mostly generational businesses and homes. It's hard to even find a rental, he says, without knowing anyone in town.
