Awesome place! Decadently delicious. The cookies are huge, the ice cream fresh. We had the ice cream sandwich. It was a heart attack in disguise. 2 huge chocolate chip cookies with 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream in the middle. There should be a law that prohibits an ice cream sandwich from being made that big. To make matters worse we also got a peanut butter cookie to take with us for later. They have plenty of other crazy treats to choose from. These are just what we chose. Go there! Wait this place is so cute! I loved the pink shack look so we decided to stop by while in Ferndale. There was a bit of a line and we had to wait around 10 minutes from getting in line to getting our order but it was worth it! I ordered the Mexican Hot Chocolate and it was delicious. The chocolate was rich but not overly sweet and went well with the whipped cream. I also loved the kick of Mexican spices in there. Overall, a fantastic spot in Ferndale! I think with the reviews and the 3 things we ordered it's safe to say ALL things are good here. My kid got an oatmeal cookie and wouldn't share. Devoured it quickly. I ordered an iced eggnog latte and it was so good! The froth on the latte!!!! Omg!! My hubs got a peanut butter and banana milkshake with chocolate ice cream base. The three of us can't stop talking how good our items were. My husband said his milkshake was near perfect! I got a slice of snickerdoodle cheesecake here a bit over a week ago. It was good but not great. Way too sweet. Today I decided to go back for the second time and I got a slice of chocolate chip cookie cheesecake. This is literally the worst slice of cheesecake I've ever had. It tastes like it's a week old. They store their cheesecake and other pastries in a glass case in direct sunlight. I'm not sure if it's refrigerated or not but it sure doesn't taste like it and it comes out at room temperature. It was stale, dry, and hard. Even the pieces of chocolate chip cookie on top. I've had real NY cheesecake in NY so I know the difference between dense cheesecake and old cheesecake. I'm very disappointed because I spent $7.50 to be disappointed by the whole thing. It's sad because I like to support small businesses and I want to like this place but something is just always off and honestly I'd rather go somewhere else. Absolutely amazing little pastry shop! The danishes are amazing! The puff pastry dough is than in Europe! We got some puff danishes with raspberries. They had some very delicate custard cream that worked really well with the raspberries. The mother-son team running the shop are very charming and very friendly! My mom and I (and our little dog) are on a road trip, and we stopped in Ferndale before going to see the Centerville beach. Since Patches has such good reviews and our Airbnb host recommended it as well, we stopped by. And our minds were blown. We came back, after we went to the beach, and bought more raspberry pastries for later (we have a long road trip ahead). We will come back for another road trip this summer in the area and plan to come again. Patches is A++! read more

I got 3 treats a few weekends ago, I got a maple cinnamon roll, chocolate milkshake and a coconut macaroon. All 3 treats were delicious. The person who sold us our food and made the milkshake was fast and efficient. They were not very friendly however. The food made up for it though! We were there 6/7/2025. The service was extremely slow. I waited over 20 minutes for a small drip coffee. People who came in after me with complicated orders for coffee got served before me. I had to ask again for my order and was told she had to go get cups but then she didn't go she kept on serving others and didn't ask anyone else to go. The coffee when I finally got it was weak and tasteless. I gave the 3 stars for the cheese and bacon scone which was delicious and the oatmeal cookie which was decent. Unlikely we will go back based on this experience. The place looked great. Love the decor. read more

Amazing cookies, scones, and macarons! I wish I had a bigger stomach to try everything else! I've tried the peanut butter, chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle cookies. They're all incredible, but the peanut butter are probably the best peanut butter cookies I've ever had in my life. Very soft and with a strong peanut butter flavor. I've stopped by a couple times and every cashier has been extremely sweet and friendly. I wish I didn't live hundreds of miles away so I could have more perfect cookies, but it will definitely be a vacation stop any time I'm anywhere near Ferndale! read more
