But the real reason for leaving this review is as I came in. I asked for a round glazed cinnamon roll. It was 6.95. An apple fritter was 6.95. A dozen donut holes was 5.95 a glazed donut was 2.95. Are you absolutely out of your mind? The donuts are so mid tier and youre charging more for that filth than a local bakery does for their pastries. Absolutely out of your minds. We would always make fun of this place because the lady would be so obnoxious and always be like and then and then and then what else what else you want what else you want and then what else you want. Like nothing I want one donut that's it. Thank god she wasnt there this morning and it was some other gentlemen. I gladly told him I didn't know donuts were so expensive and I walked out. I found this place back in 2007 when I was a senior in high school and moved in with my sister in Eureka. I passed it every morning on my way to the bus stop and most mornings I'd stop for a cookie and a cup of coffee. I was always greeted with a smile and they talked to me like a person--not like a "delinquent" which is how many similar places treated me just for being a teenager. I moved away after high school and now make frequent trips back to Eureka (monthly at least) and I make sure to stop in for a treat whenever I can. Walking in the front door feels like walking into a family member's home--it's cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. read more

I have been coming to this bakery since I was a child. I remember getting the pink champagne squares. They still make them and they are wonderful. The lady that works there is very sweet. She made sure the cake I ordered for my sons birthday was perfect. It tasted and looked great! Also, I am totally hooked on their Cherry log donuts. Soooo good. One of the best places in Humboldt County to get donuts. The shop is clean, and their service is always prompt and friendly. This is my go to place for donuts. My favorite is their fresh glazed donuts or the peanut butter filled donut with peanut topping. read more

That lack of emphasis of the dialogue regarding human rights leads me to believe that acknowledging humans rights isn't something this company has even with their own workers. A bunch of people come in for a tour and the cafe workers who are pretty new to the front area have to be in charge of seeing about 15- 30 different orders with in 5 minutes and the front stage who makes below minimum of the cost of living has to be left felling supported? I wonder if all the staff working for you have even been on a sailboat or own one? It's on your logo after all. Or is it a simple nod to the slave trade being the reasons you are a millionaire? I think it would be amazing if this company could make products that do not include slavery or mistreatment of workers.
