I usually frequent the McDonald's by my husband's work off Fairview or the one by our house off Chinden. We decided to hit up this McDonald's to avoid traffic from the fair that's going on. I haven't been to this location before so it was different walking in. The set up isn't practical. The register is kinda hidden and there's a funky wall that prohibits the employees to see customers standing at the register. I did stand at the register for a bit before I had to move in front of food pick up area for someone to see me. A sweet gal saw me and headed to the register. I'm on the hunt for the new Hello Kitty/Ninja turtle collaboration toys. I asked Chanel what toys they had available. She needed a minute to go look so we patiently waited. She did a minute so I thought maybe she was annoyed for me asking. This sweet girl when through and grabbed all my options. She made sure she grabbed all the ones available for me! I already had 2 of the 4 that they had so I told her I would take the 2. I got my happy meal ordered and my extra toy. My chicken nuggets were nice and hot. My two things of small fries were perfectly fried. I love me some floppy fries and they were fried that way. My meal was pretty easy and it was what I wanted. I also appreciate that this McDonald's has their soda machine out for their customers to fill up their own drinks. It's so convenient to be able to refill your cup without standing there waiting for someone to do it for you. I appreciate that Chanel went out of her way to show me the happy meal toys they had available. I have been to another McDonald's and they looked agitated when I asked about their toys. My food was what it was, McDonald's and it was good. Glad I had such a good experience at this McDonald's.

Fucked up my order and gave me a sorry ass excuse for a large fry. Took my order as breakfast thru the intercom said they didn't have all day breakfast

The picture speaks for itself and my bafflement is beyond words. How in the world do you not notice you're making a nothing-burger?? The best part? I got 2 of these beauties, made with the same careful attention to "detail". You had one job. ONE.

Cleanliness is not something they are concerned with. The soda machine looked to have been cleaned last week. The floor had soda all over and left my shoes super sticky. To top it all off, the order was wrong. Not sure how it can be inconsistent here.

It's a McDonald's. It is everything you expect and nothing you don't. The service is on par and the food tastes like. McDonald's food.

This time I tried the Lucky Irish Steakburger with fries. This burger has Swiss Cheese and grilled onions on rye bread. Very good. The fries, once again, were well seasoned and crispy, just the way I like them. The female server did a great job taking care of us. There were five men in our party, and she offered separate checks, which I really appreciated. I'm sure I'll be back.

It's a nice sports bar theme, but also welcoming and cozy. Once we sat down, a server came over immediately with menus. It seemed like she was the only server though, which made me feel badly for her...she never stopped moving the entire time we were there with taking orders, serving, refilling drinks, taking payments, etc. We had a party of four - I ordered the "Hail Mary" (2 patties, onion rings, bbq sauce, bacon, American cheese and pickles), hubby had the double steak burger and my friends ordered "The Big Hurt" and "Bullet Work". Bonus points for having multiple fries options (regular, garlic, French fry dippers and sweet potato), but unfortunately for me, they were out of sweet potato. Food came out relatively quickly and everything looked pretty delicious. My burger was bigger than I expected, which I appreciated. The onion ring was the perfect size for the patty and the drizzle of BBQ sauce was enough to flavor the burger without drowning it. The only downside was that the bacon wasn't crispy enough and the cheese was barely melted. The patties had some nice, crispy edges and the bun was soft even though it was toasted. It might have been bumped up a notch with some mayo on the bun, an extra slice of cheese and lettuce, but overall, it was a nice, very filling, burger. The fries were perfectly seasoned, slightly battered and the fry sauce was a great compliment. Everyone finished their meals and raved about how much they liked their burgers. Due to the one server taking care of so many tables, we didn't see her again until it was time for the check. Thankfully the water glasses were enormous and I luckily made it through dinner with just enough to drink. We would definitely visit again to check out all the great options on this menu!

I've had takeout from here on many occasions and it's always good. Chose the pulled pork sandwich, Carolina style, which was delicious. Soft, good roll. Fresh coleslaw, and lots of pork. Great overall sandwich. My side of choice was the sweet potato fries. Decent portion and yummy, fried well, fries. Would repeat. Just next time with a beer :-)

We tried a mix of meats, and there was plenty to like. The pulled pork stood out as the best of the bunch--tender, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for from good BBQ. The spicy BBQ sauce was a highlight too: it's got a real kick--hot in a fun, nostalgic way, like a high school pool party where things get a little wild but in the best sense. The tri-tip was decent, though it leaned a bit young and could've benefited from a touch more time or seasoning to really shine. The chicken was cooked nicely--juicy and not overdone--but felt like it needed a little extra smoky pizzazz to stand out. On the plus side, the buns were excellent across the board, soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together without falling apart. Service was top-notch--friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Overall, a really pleasant lunch spot with some strong offerings and a great atmosphere. I'd say it would absolutely earn a nod of approval from my  St. Louis BBQ grandpa and his crew from Wells-Goodfellow--satisfying, honest barbecue with a few standout bites and a good time to go with it.

However, we had a double date planned and Kosta's was chosen for us. One of the best choices ever. The atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you walk in; friendly greeting within seconds of walking in, calming colors of blue and white adorn every wall with charming tablecloths on each table, and cute decor. Service was immediate with a carafe of water and a huge smile. I loved the vibe! Ordered a German Hefeweizen that came cold and frothy. Next came the Greek salad with the most juicy, crisp tomatoes, green peppers and cucumbers, then heavily sprinkled with feta cheese, a pinch of capers, and a side of the best Greek dressing I've ever tasted. I was originally taken aback that there was no lettuce, but real Greek salad doesn't have lettuce! I had no idea. Hubby and I shared the Broiler Mix from the appetizer menu so we could sample multiple items. The Broiler mix has 2 chicken skewers, 2 beef skewers, 2 Kefta patties, 2 chorizo, 2 pitas, fries, tomato wedges and a healthy dollop of tzatziki. The pita tasted homemade; it was soft, thick without being too think and didn't taste chalky. The skewers were exceptionally cooked...tender, flavorful pieces of chicken and beef. The kefta (lamb & beef) patties had a nice texture, which was enhanced with the herbaceous tzatziki sauce. The only disappointment was the chorizo as it was overcooked and dry. It was easy to overlook as everything else was a shining star. We would go back in a heartbeat....totally made me want to explore more Greek food there!

And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.
