Great space, stellar service, remarkable handcrafted chocolates and now gelato and sorbetto too!
    Michele R.

Hand crafted gelato added to their already scrumptious line up of premium artisan chocolates has moved the needle from Perfect to Perfect-Plus for this locally owned shop with stellar service and sparkling interior! In my original review from about their opening time in June 2022 I said they were planning on making gelato and so they have done that delicious thing. Thanks to Yelp friend Juli S. for letting me know she heard it was introduced maybe last week, I went in to enjoy it for the first time. THE GELATO 'SCOOP': Serving sizes are small cups (2 scoops and you can choose 2 different flavors $4.95) or large ones and pints can be had to go. (See photo for current flavors https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-chocolat-bar-eagle?select=mUpflm9FQmX65Rr6J_kDNw ) Thanks to sharing with hubby we were able to try 4 flavors. They were all perfetto. I am a fan(atic) for pistacchio anything and as a hint about the quality here, the owner even makes his own pistachio paste to use in the pistacchio gelato. There are about a dozen varieties on the menu and we were told things will come and go with seasons and depending on what customers enjoy. There are also a couple of sorbetto and I had a chance to try the lemon (limon) which will be my choice next time. Everything is luscious in flavor and also important for gelato, just right for texture too. THE EXTRAS: This time we each sipped espresso as we enjoyed the cold treats. They also offer affogato (espresso poured over gelato) and they have prosecco coming soon so you can float gelato or sorbetto in prosecco if you want to try that. And try it you should for the sorbetto limon as it will get you very close to an Italian sgroppino beverage. SPARKLING SERVICE & SPACE: The service here is always so friendly and efficient, it makes everything taste even better and the space is always lovely. Also worth a round of applause to them as we observe the 33rd Anniversary of the passage of ADA this month (July 1990), they are wheelchair accessible throughout, including tables to use. CHOCOLATE CHASER: As chaser to the gelato we enjoyed in, we picked up a few artisan chocolates to take home. Ahhh...some.

We love this local chocolate shop. The staff goes above and beyond. They are always happy, welcoming and knowledgeable. The chocolate is delicious. Everything from the carmels, to the chocolate bars are delicious! The shop itself is so comfy for a cup of coffee or studying for a final.

Nicest employees, fantastic selection, good quality. Which they'd serve real drinking chocolate & have bicycle/mobility scooter accommodations... but I suspect they'd graciously accommodate if someone wanted to park their bike or mobility scooter along an interior side wall. Otherwise very accessible as store is laid out spaciously & well lit. Descriptions are reasonable sized text on the chocolates... though I'd definitely recommend bringing' your readers in if u have bad sight like me. I much prefer this location to the Boise location... & not just because it's much closer to my hm

First time trying an affogato which was fantastic- the espresso was hot and delicious, gelato was really high quality and rivaled some of the gelato thatI ate in Italy this past spring. Also ordered a custom box of chocolate- bark, chocolate pieces, cookies, etc which have amazing quality. Service was amazing - great suggestions, super patient since I was taking forever to order and asking a ton of questions; kindly gave me a sample of bark; packaged my purchase in a box since I told her I am traveling. The ambiance is so beautiful in this shop so if you have time, definitely plan to stay and eat in site. Very reasonable prices! Will definitely be visiting on every trip to Boise area!

Amazing treats!!! I went here for last minute stocking stuffers, and I was able 2 taste chocolate flavors I had never even thought of, like habenaro, jalapeno & Aztec. The customer service is top notch & would highly recommend this gem of a chocolate store for the most delicious homemade chocolate.

Their chocolate is great. If you like spice be sure to try the red chili dark chocolate bark. They also have a pleasant room with seating.

I used to go to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory when it was out at the outlet mall. Now there's a new owner and new store front in Meridian which is so much closer to me. My friend swears by their Dubai chocolate bars here. I finally got to try out the Dubai chocolate and I see the hype in them, they are so good! I made my way in to see what kind of goodies they had. I like that you're not committed to a pound here so I'll be able to get a variety of treats. Walking in, you are smacked in the face with this amazing smell from the caramel they were using to dip the apples in. You are visually sent into overdrive with all the chocolates, Valentines decor and dipped apples perfectly displayed all over. I didn't even know where to begin! I wanted to look at everything, God forbid I miss out on something good. I would literally get one of everything if I could. The truffles, fudge, dipped twinkies, apples covered in caramel and chocolate, smores, it was all calling my name. Trying to narrow my selection down was going to be a difficult decision. But I ended up going with a milk chocolate sea salt caramel, a milk chocolate caramel, a milk chocolate truffle and one more piece that I can't remember. I also snagged a little bag of peanut butter melts for my husband. The gal that helped me out today was kind and patient with me. I was looking over the display case and wanted to make sure that I got anything that called out to me. It was neat seeing the dipping of the apples, it's an art for sure. The store is very cute, perfectly laid out and welcoming. I'm looking forward to eating my goodies later. I will have to make my way back soon. There's more treats that need to be tried out.

I crossed the intersection from Pig Latin and was there in less than a minute. Pulling up, the shop had a bunch of seating outside. I adore the picnic tables with the big umbrellas. I can imagine having a nice scoop of ice cream, sitting under the big umbrellas and enjoying the vibe. Walking into the shop, it's very bright and simple. Bright white walls, simple shelves with merch and goodies for sale. A very classic and clean venue. I love the big black and white menu boards. I appreciate when a venue can be beautifully classic. I stopped in for coffee today. Ice cream will have to be another adventure here. I ordered my usual drink today. An iced americano with sugar free vanilla and room for cream. I feel like it's a good basic drink to get at every coffee joint to be a baseline of how they make their coffee. I wanted a 12oz but 16oz is how they serve their small iced beverages so I went with it. The sweet gal got my drink started and I checked out the merch. I love the all mugs available. I have too many mugs at home. There was a cute white mug with little red hearts all over it! My husband would not be happy if I brought home another mug but man it was so tempting. There were unique bottled sodas and packaged ice cream that you can take with you. The root beer is a must try next time too besides the ice cream. The bottle makes me feel like that for beer is going to be out of this world good. My coffee was ready and I headed out to one of the picnic tables outside to chill at and enjoy my drink. September weather was perfect today. sunny and not too hot. Well, I really wanted to enjoy my drink. Unfortunately, it was really watered down. The drink itself was very light and opaque. From the flavoring of the espresso and vanilla, it was hardly there. There was no richness of the half and half, no bitterness of the espresso. It was quite a disappointing drink. I tried to drink a much as I could but I couldn't drink any more of it. I drank about a fourth of it. I don't know if the gal working needs a little more training on the espresso machine and how drinks are made but it wouldn't be a bad idea since this joint promotes itself as a coffee shop. The shop itself is great! The reviews on the ice cream are all the same, delicious. But the few coffee reviews are on the same page as me, disappointing. I'm happy I got to mark this cute spot off my to go list today. I do look forward to coming back for ice cream and bottled root beer.

The current chef has had it operational for five years. Tons of great parking, even up to the front door. It's tiny when you initially walk in with about eight tables, but they recently expanded next-door so it should open up. The ambience is relaxing with background music from Sinatra and other swooners. You really wanna settle in for some good long conversation here. Everything was immaculate. You could tell that they really take care to ensure cleanliness is first and foremost. The menu is easy to read and very reasonably priced. I asked for the daily special and the server, who had a great attitude and warm personality, shared they had a turkey and bacon club with basil pesto, tomato and other goodies on an in-house made focaccia. All of it is lightly toasted and warm when it arrives. I ordered it with a side of fries, but it also comes with a salad or soup. This amazing sandwich did not disappoint in any way. The ratio of meat to accompaniments to spread and bread were perfect. The bread was not too thick. The basil pesto was not excessive. The meat was perfectly toasted. The size of the sandwich is enough to fill any appetite from small to large. It was in fact the best sandwich I've had in years. Recall from my bio that I was a chef and I had a deli where I made sandwiches that were award-winning. I have to admit, I had nothing on my menu that could even come close to this delicious sandwich. It seems pretty simple to be able to put some meat and spread on a nice bread and heat it, but this went beyond simple. The flavor profile hit on all cylinders. I ordered the fries and they too were perfect. Hot and crispy with just enough garlic, and Parmesan to taste it, but not overwhelm it. I cannot say enough about this meal. Between the service, the delicious food, and the ambience, this is now my go to place for lunch. I urge you to take some time to get to the Stuffed Olive in Eagle Idaho and experience what this chef is doing for this community and it's starving foodies.

WILL BE CLOSING FOR GOOD ON JUNE 27, 2025. See owner's gracious farewell notice inserted below…read more If you want to bid farewell to Stuffed Olive you have another 3 weeks to do it. The good news in the sad news is that this will be turned over to a father / daughter team who will open a new concept here. The maybe not so good news is that in a community awash in chain restaurants on this side of Boise, I think the concept mentioned, Potholder Cafe, is a small California based chain. "To our dear Stuffed Olive Family: a heartfelt thank you to our incredible community. After 20 wonderful years, The Stuffed Olive is closing its doors on Friday, June 27th. This is a bittersweet moment for us. Running a restaurant like The Stuffed Olive has been our life's passion and our greatest joy; but it also has demanded everything we have and more. After pouring our hearts and souls into this beloved establishment for so many years, it's time for us to take a step back, to breathe, and to discover what's next. Most importantly, it's time for us to be truly present for ourselves and for our family. The Restaurant space is being handed over to a wonderful Father/Daughter team who are excited to start a new chapter in our space. They intend to bring their concept: The Potholder Cafe, a breakfast and lunch eatery into the Eagle dining scene. Alongside their new recipes will be some old favorites from the TSO menu. We're grateful that the legacy of TSO being a locally-owned, family-run space will continue with this new duo. Your unyielding support has meant the world to us, and we are so grateful for every laugh, every meal, and every memory shared within these walls. Thank you for making The Stuffed Olive more than just a restaurant. We will carry these moments with us forever. Cheers one last time, The Stuffed Olive Team
