Made this random stop to fill our hungry bellies while driving back to the Bay Area. We decided on McDonald's because it was quick, easy, and so very yummy. As I made my way to the entrance, I was surprised by the nice patio seating available outdoor. This location can be found along Interstate 5 and is spacious, clean, and one of the prettiest McDonald's I've set foot in [who would have guessed??] It is very modern- equipped with a flat screen tv and a self ordering kiosk where you can place your order, pay, & bypass standing in line. Not only was the customer service good but the food was fantastic. Our order was obviously made fresh- the french fries and chicken McNuggets were scorching hot, perfectly crisp on the outside yet moist in the inside. 5/5 in all aspects of this visit! Over the years, this place has gotten a facelift! I don't know how many times I've driven down the 5 to get to LA, this location is always our stop. First of all - the bathrooms are CLEAN...you cannot say that about other places along the 5 lol Customer service isn't the best but that's when the McDonalds app comes in! We park, get the kids settled, and my order is ready for pickup within minutes. However, if you do travel on holidays (like Thanksgiving) this location can be a nightmare. I have to say. I ordered my food at the computer and as I was waiting I couldn't believe how horrible the customer service was from a guy named (EDDIE). He treated a truck driver like a piece of dirt right in front of me. They got his order wrong and Eddie basically told him to get lost and nothing was going to be done about it. Didn't even attempt to make the customer happy as if the cost was gonna come out of his paycheck or something. I own a business. Attendant had difficulty counting and understanding our order. We had to repeat ourself a few times. Ordered a Sausage Mc Muffin, no egg and a coffee for myself. Mc Muffin was as expected, gross and greasy. Removed half the muffin, cuz bread is bad for you. Coffee was a winner, but Im a fan of McDs coffee. After eating I wished I ordered the yougert instead. Hubsters had a Mc Griddle with double meat and a OJ. He said it was alright. Drinks are still a buck here. But, water is not. Waters are $1.37. Lame, since I don't drink soda. Burger was bloody and sitting in a salty pool of beef juice. Bun was completely soggy. Staff put fingers on my food to inspect it and then said remaking it would just make it dry and didn't want to remake it. He just handed it back to me. Then Another customer got hostile with me because I complained, repeatedly accosting me getting inches from me and left me feeling physically unsafe. Due to disk disease flare up, I was already in a lot of pain. I walked out of that place with a level of dissatisfaction and uncomfortable feeling that I've never had in a restaurant before. The store manager/owner should be ashamed of putting customers in an experience like this. I'm filing this experience with better business bureau. read more

Stopped to eat while driving to northern CA. Stopping at this location was a mistake. I'll ignore the fact the place was packed with diners. But it was dirty and the trash bins were overflowing. The line to order was the worst experience. It was right out of a horror movie. People would order and engage the cashiers in long conversations as if they had never ordered d fast food before. One guy wanted a McRib and was told it was seasonal. He demanded to see the manager to complain. That shut down the cash register for 10 minutes while the guy ordered and he finally left without ordering. I finally ordered - nothing special - for two people. I waited and waited for our check number to be called. Fifteen minutes, our food was cold, the fries were overcooked and hard, and the drinks were 99% ice and little beverage. Note that I had requested "light ice." I've eaten at a lot of Mcdonald's in many countries and this was the worst. We had waited to long that complaining was not an option. No place to sit. One table had one diner who was not eating, just an empty tray from food, and using a laptop. Wow....we waited 10 minutes on Sunday to get a chocolate shake and a cup of coffee. There were around 15 to 20 people in the lobby who ordered after us who were also waiting for items. The place was busy taking care of the drive through and an older lady came over and said I guess I should have gone through the drive through. It's just that each and every time we order a Large $1 coffee, they don't have any large cups. This last trip, still half asleep and in very bad need of a large coffee, I tried to order a couple for my self and husband. Well, I couldn't because they didn't have any large coffee cups. I have not been to any McDonalds location in 1 year and 2 months. I cannot believe I even tried it again. This place is ridiculously slow and not a single employee in the entire store gives a damn about anything. I placed a simple order through the automated kiosk then waited, and waited and waited & waited some more when they finally called out my number then I had to beg them for the drink cup. This was early afternoon and there were only 3 people in front me inside the store whom had already placed their order. The drive-thru was slightly busier, but nothing like a peak time would be and they were still just moving like molasses in winter time. On top of all of that the burger was stale and the fries were completely soggy. It's just so lame to get service and products this bad that I am mostly just disgusted with myself for even trying to give them another chance. This location survives on volume alone as it is the only McDonalds in the area off the major freeway. They know they can offer sub-par service and food because people will still buy it simply because there are very limited fast food burger choices near by.
