Huge props to the kind guy who helped me with my sandwich! I wish I could give higher stars just for that but, I think you should be deterrred from stopping here on the I5 literal cockroaches, bad bathrooms, broken door... it defintely needs some love. The dinging room is pretty nice but I felt icky after going to the unstocked bathroom with two out of order stalls and seeing everything else! Went next door for Starbucks afterwards and while the bathrooms weren't super clean, they were new so just fyi read more

I stopped by this Subway on our way to Fresno. I wanted a quick snack to fill me up during the drive. My goal was to get a bag of chips. When I walked inside, they were not busy at all. I was the only customer inside and the lady working was prepping the bread. I looked at the options of chips but then saw some cookies on display. So I wanted the chocolate chip cookie instead. I didn't see any on the display but the lady working told me they just came out of the oven and was hot. So I got one of that cookie as my snack. The lady working today was very nice with me and I didn't have any issues. read more

One of the dirtiest bathrooms I've ever encountered. If this is an indication of how dirty their kitchen is I would caution to run in the other direction! read more

If you make an online order they skip you to attend to walk-in customers defeating the purpose of ordering online so you can just grab your food and go. Now when you get to their location you have to wait for them to finish with the walk-ins before they even start on your order. They update your order in the app as "In Progress" when they've never started on your order. Also, their restroom stinks so bad like it's never been cleaned since the day it was opened. As soon as you walk in the door the stench of ammonia hits you. I've been in portapotties that don't smell that bad. read more

We should have read the reviews prior to going in to this Subway; but, it is right next to the Tesla charge station. This is the worst run Subway I have ever seen. They were out of items for the sandwiches, including different kinds of bread which are advertised on their menu and cheese, which went into the sandwiches we ordered. The women's bathroom was filthy, Including no soap at all. I had to ask for it. That's a health issue alone. read more

This place is filthy! I order on the app and went in to use the restroom when I arrived before picking up my order. The bathrooms hadn't been cleaned in weeks, no soap, toilets were worse than a port-a-potty. When I went up to the counter to pick up my order, the food was smeared all over the sandwich prep area. I left without my order. It was gross! read more

Decent stop next to the Starbucks and Tesla charger. The line was pretty long when we stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. There were 2 people working. The food is fine, just your normal subway sandwiches. The bathrooms on the other hand are very disgusting and dirty. My husband said the mens restroom was the worst he has ever seen. The women's wasn't too bad. Plenty of parking. read more

It says they close at 9pm, we show up at 8:33pm and the boy said he closed early. When I ask why, he says he doesn't know.... hire more responsible team members please. read more

We order 3 sandwich in here and the lady who work here look like she don't want to work here, First of all the bread are cold when we ask to warm it all the cheese are not even melt and the chicken still damn frozen and they put so much topping and it's all over the place like a garbage, All 3 bread are freaking cold and we cannot even eat it. We waste $40 and just throw it to garbage. And the service are not great as well this lady are so mean. read more

Subway - this is #23 The Hotshot Italiano and #16 All-Pro Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki® and Meatball Marinara (310 Cals) - Sandwiches Near Me - Buttonwillow, California

This place might be my new go to stop replacing the now touristy Laval road rest area. Not as crowded and some decent restaurants off Rosedale. I'd have to pretty much agree with Lisa's review just below. The food and service we got from two ladies behind the counter was good and the food was good as well. The seating area was basic for a Subway that wasn't part of a gas station. With that Tesla charging station right behind it, they should up their game a bit. The men's restroom wasn't the best - better than a lot of truck stop fast food ones but with a Tesla charger adjacent you'd expect a bit better. read more

MOLDY BREAD!!!! Don't eat here.It smelled kinda funky in the store but I brushed it off and when I opened my sandwich in the car it smelled weird as hell and there were mold spots on the bottom of the sandwich read more

Would give if 0 stars if I could. I didn't even order because of how filthy the bathroom was. Pee all over the seats, no toilet liners, trash all over the floor. Couldn't imagine what the food quality would be like if they can't even keep their bathrooms clean. GROSS read more

Tesla charging is right behind this Subway. We went in for lunch and to use the restrooms. The women's restroom had one toilet clogged. The usable toilet had black mold around the rim and was filthy. We did get a couple of sandwiches. While I was eating I was wondering how clean the food preparation area was, considering the disgusting restroom. read more

"Slow but Nice." The poor lady working behind the counter is working like a slave to try to keep up with the customers and the baking. Understaffed, but very friendly. I feel sorry for her. On the other hand, the sandwiches are the same as you might expect. Today I ordered the turkey breast on sourdough, paired with a Diet Coke. Perfect for the road. It doesn't look like they have any special deals, but it's still a reasonable price, and I'm glad they were open. read more

My friend wanted a juice and stopped here to get it. We waited in line while they made the sandwiches for the people in front of us. Employees were wearing face masks and gloves (gloves while handling the food) and not talkative. They have some sort of plastic thing that is hanging from the ceiling down to about the middle of the chest area to shield the employees and the customer. But it's not very wide, a little over the width of the person. read more

My husband got sick after eating at this Subway. He said every table was dirty and he almost walked out, but it was getting late and he needed food. Stay away. read more

It's really cool how they imported a gas station restroom into this Subway. Including graffiti scratched into the soiled urinals

Bathrooms were very dirty and the dining area looked unkept. I will not go back to this particular Subway again and would advise you to do the same. read more

It's surprising how bad their customer service is. They don't tell you if they're out of certain toppings before they start making your sandwich. The female employee who made my order was extremely rude and kept rushing so much. When I asked for cucumbers she said "we don't have it, what else?". Used 1/4th of avocado, all other subways use half avocado. After all this, they show an option for tip, I have never been more glad to leave a ZERO dollar tip before this. This location's store make sure customers don't return. I am a business owner, I travel between CA and NV alot, I always look for regular spots to stop, this ain't it. This is not how you run a business, your employees shouldn't be upset if customers show up. read more

Always the worst and unfortunately the only sandwich option at this Buttonwillow stop. Can't wait until Quiznos opens. We will NEVER stop here again. Bathrooms are ALWAYS disgusting. Garbage in restaurant is ALWAYS full. read more

You may as well shit in my mouth. The lettuce tasted like rubber and the bread was drier than the Mojave desert. As for the staff, quite rude and couldn't take a hint. Kinda filthy in there as well ambiance could be better. Who am I kidding? It's a subway. read more

Had to leave this for folks making road trips.. went here to grab lunch while I charged.. the lady who made my sandwich was great, but this guy came from the back with a napkin hanging from his nose. He literally stuffed a napkin up his nostril and was playing with it while walking to the counter. Didn't wash his hands, pulled his mask up over it and started helping customers. Literally the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in food prep. read more

Horrible service, cucumbers were bad, when I told them they remade the sandwich but kept putting them on others sandwiches

This subway sucks do not recommend going here. The girl gave me stale bread that was already cut in half when every subway ever usually gets you a fresh roll & cuts it in half to give you the fresh bigger half. She also gave me the one broken veggie party when there were two stacks full of whole veggie patties. Not a huge deal obviously but they just could have done these small things to help the guests experience. Not good customer service! read more

I had a very bad experience here. None of the tables were clean and restrooms are the worst. They didn't even do my sub properly. The way she adds veggies is disgusting and made me sick. Also, They don't accept any digital coupons. I had B1G1 sub offer from subway but it is in my mobile. She refused to look at my coupon and said they don't accept any coupon other than physical ones, seriously lady? read more

Disgusting. Hair in two of our four items. Refused a refund and blocked our number when we tried to call.

Very friendly service And very nice employees I walked in and was welcomed with a smile and owner makes sure I am happy read more

If you care about yourself and others you would not recommend Subway. Sub par ingredients and really just fast food

Very dirty place do not recommend the trash was over filling. Bathroom was really dirty. Bugs everywhere.

Man. I would give this zero stars if I could. Dirty, understaffed, and lacking the tools it needed. Took a half hour for two people's 6 inch sandwiches, because there was one worker working there. I get my sandwich finished and am told that the register is not working. I ask if I can just take the sandwich at this point, since he can't even take cash for them, and he just has to throw them away. Always happens to be when you're in a hurry too read more

A quick stop while on my way to Sacramento. The lady who works here was friendly, the meats & veggies all looked fresh. The tuna sandwich I got was delicious. However the reason for the 3 stars is due to the restroom. Once you walk in it reeks of urine, the toilet & urinal looked like they were not maintained in days. It was very unhygienic & would not recommend their restrooms unless you really need to go. There is only 1 stall & 3 urinals (one was out of order) & the others had mold in them. read more

Bought a 6 inch cold cut sandwich. Lady behind counter was very nice and the counter looked clean and well kept. However the bathroom was just...BAD, unkept, smelly, just NASTY. As I was leaving, I saw the lady clean the inside of the glass shield that is in front of the condiments and noticed she didn't even cover them before cleaning the display. I threw my sandwich away. read more

They did not make my sandwich on a clean workspace, used dirty knives, and kept on the same gloves they used to make the previous 4 orders and check them out. Don't expect much, but bathroom was fairly clean and the store was big but could use more tables (if they got better reviews, they would need it). read more

I thought this place was fairly nice for a Subway and the service was quick, the food tasted like Subway and not some other crazy variation they end up having in the middle of nowhere and the employees were friendly. You really can't beat their $5 foot-longs, even despite the quality of ingredients Subway uses. The bathrooms here are alright and overall it's not a bad place to pick up lunch and take a quick bathroom break when planning to head to Buttonwillow Raceways for the day. read more

This review is pertaining to the owner. The store itself is very clean, and well maintained BY THE STAFF. The service is friendly and efficient. very pleasant. However! the air conditioning is and has been broken for a very long time. According to staff, and my experience, the owner refuses to fix the A/C. Soooo the entire place is extremely hot and uncomfortable. I can't believe the health inspectors have not taken action for this. read more

No soap in the bathroom. You are serving food. Where are your employees washing their hands? I am pretty sure that is a health violation. Three stalls: -- One door can't close (too tight by over 1/4") -- One door closes but can't lock because the bolt is over an inch lower that what it needs to connect to. -- That leaves one stall. Third stall was disgusting. Red stuff ringing the toilet. I couldn't eat here. I won't ever come back. How can you serve food without soap in your bathroom? Where does the person serving food wash their hands? It's 8AM. There's no excuse. read more

Subway is Subway but this one was very clean and the manager made sure the newly hired employee gave out correct (good size) portions. Ever in the area and in need of a quick sandwich this is a solid spot. read more

Does this place have management? I cannot believe the bread they used for my sandwich...it was hard and shrunken...like clearly an error and would have been noticeable to any reasonable employee when baking not to mention cutting for a sandwich. The result was a tiny miserable sandwich. Disgusting. I couldn't even eat the bread so I ended up with $5 of lettuce. Also, the bathrooms are DISGUSTING. Replace those toilets for goodness sake! read more
