Why-because in general they suck! BUT La Jalicience 2 at 20641 Tracy Ave, Buttonwillow, CA 93206 has one thing I normally don't see-a constant amount of customers regardless of time or day. My curiosity got the better of me so on my way out of town I visited it. The grounds were clean and the trailer was well maintained. I met two young ladies who were polite and had a great attitude. One told me that they use the freshest quality ingredients. The Agua de Jamaica (hibiscus tea) is what they are known for. OK, she sold me on a breakfast burrito, ham and potato. Absolutely the best I've tried with green sauce. The Tamarindo Aqua Fresca was unlike anything I've tried-excellent! I looked at the other customers plates of tacos, burritos and other items. Everything looked fabulous! OK, so here is a first- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Taco Trailer. Next time I'm through Buttonwillow, I'm definitely going to stop there and enjoy a meal.

The truck was very clean, and the person working (owner maybe?) was very professional! All five stars. You never know what to expect when you hit a new truck, and we knew we were in good hands from the start!!! What did we get? I wanted a quesadilla and asked for recommendation for what meat. The gentleman recommended carne asada and chorizo, and holy crud was that good!!! Amazing! He's totally right, this was a really good quesadilla! I'm not big on spice and asked if it was spicy. He said no, and he was right: there was just the mildest hint of spice after and it just enhanced the full flavor. We also got a chicken burrito. No joke, the burrito was almost as big as my forearm! The contents of the burrito were really good as well. Bonus, he was such good service he confirmed all the stuff on the inside to make sure it was what we wanted. Really appreciate that since I LOVE cilantro but my gf doesn't like it. That made it all the better . He also put the classic sauces in our to go bag, along with some silverware and plenty of napkins!!! These are small things but make a HUGE DIFFERENCE when you're on a road trip. Legit love this place. Will be back even if I need to go out of my way to do so!!!

The other dishes look equally intriguing. There are 4 different kinds of soups, including posole. The prices are very reasonable and people are always super nice! I was greeted by the friendly hostess at the order window and the menu was nearby to see the extreme variety of meats that you normally don't see at restaurants in the bay! If you haven't tried before, order the cabeza, tripa and lengua tacos! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Full of flavor and beef that just melts in your mouth. I'd drive back a hundred plus miles just to have these again. The papusas are worth a try if you haven't tried before. They're a solid choice and I'd go with the pork and beans if you're a first timer. It's a bit hot out in Buttonwillow during the summer but they do have a bit of shade and few tables as you enjoy your authentic tacos!

There are tables to sit and eat if you didn't want to take your food in the car. The service was quite slow, we had to wait 30 mins for 2 pupusas which was kind of surprising. The pupusas themselves were ok. We tried the pork one and the jalapeño one. They were both just ok. Nothing special. They were very sparse with filling.

Two thumbs way down, next time if Tita's is closed we are going to get back on the road to head up to that Mexican place in the plaza at the Paso Robles exit.
