Whenever I stay at Buttonwillow, CA, I noticed this small taco trailer with a nice covered patio next to it. I never have any interest in food trucks or trailers. Why-because in general they suck! BUT La Jalicience 2 at 20641 Tracy Ave, Buttonwillow, CA 93206 has one thing I normally don't see-a constant amount of customers regardless of time or day. My curiosity got the better of me so on my way out of town I visited it. The grounds were clean and the trailer was well maintained. I met two young ladies who were polite and had a great attitude. One told me that they use the freshest quality ingredients. The Agua de Jamaica (hibiscus tea) is what they are known for. OK, she sold me on a breakfast burrito, ham and potato. Absolutely the best I've tried with green sauce. The Tamarindo Aqua Fresca was unlike anything I've tried-excellent! I looked at the other customers plates of tacos, burritos and other items. Everything looked fabulous! OK, so here is a first- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Taco Trailer. Next time I'm through Buttonwillow, I'm definitely going to stop there and enjoy a meal. read more

Stopped at La Jaliciense #2 in Buttonwillow and it was absolutely worth it. We ordered two breakfast burritos, pupusas, and horchata -- everything was excellent. The burritos were fresh and flavorful, the pupusas were perfectly cooked, and the horchata was just right. Very good food - got Al pastor burrito supreme and tacos (cabeza, lengua, birria). All the meats were tender and tasty - my personal favorite was cabeza. We were getting hungry on our way to Vegas and stopped by for some tacos At first online they said they were closed but don't be fooled. The lady was very sweet at the window, she took our order and the wait didn't take long at all. Keep in mind they even stepped out to talk and be thanked by another customer before us. Once we got our food the smell was just amazing The tortillas were hand made, the salsa was spicy and savory and great portions on the meat. I wish I would've taken a photo BUT THIS FOOD WAS AMAZING! My husband and I were looking for some food on our way back home to NorCal and we found this taco truck and it was spectacular. The staff are so incredibly kind and friendly. We got 2 el pastor tacos and the tortillas are hand made! The meat was tender and the flavor was so delicious!! The salsa is spicy but so flavorful. I wish I would have gotten the el pastor in my torta as well! I got an asada torta and the meat didn't disappoint it was still amazing but the el pastor stole the show. The torta was still SOO GOOD! My husband said it tastes like how old school tortas used to taste like his grandma used to make. Simple but packed with flavor. Overall an amazing experience and this will now be a must visit when we come to visit SoCal! read more

Amazing authentic tacos. What a little gem. I had carne asada tacos, my husband had the quesatacos (also carne asada). Incredibly flavorful. I don't normally eat tortillas (carbs) but these tortillas were way too good to pass up. The only reason we didn't give it 5 starts is because the can of diet coke was warn (we did get ice after we tasted it) and "flat." This place is great! Very quaint with fast & friendly service. Some landscape planters are around where I rested my dogs, we ate at the patio area around the food truck. Stopped by on the way home from LA. It's a food truck directly in front McDonalds. They have a huge menu but the food was excellent! We ordered popusas, tacos, and Gorditas. 2 of each. All for $20. They have a lot of seating under a canopy and it's very clean. Would recommend to anyone driving in I-5 that is hungry. Also tortillas are hand made. They take card and cash.
