I really do love Chick-fil-A, but dislike the drive thru..always extremely busy. Today I decided on enjoying my meal inside the restaurant. Much to my surprise, no one in line (but drive thru was 15-20 cars deep). There were a lot of folks eating-in but I managed to find an empty table. I ordered the Jalapeño Ranch Club (with a crispy chicken fillet). The burger had tomatoes, lettuce, sliced pickled jalapenõs, pepper jack cheese, jalapenõ ranch sauce and caramelized onion flavor candied bacon on a buttermilk ranch bun. This burger is so darn delicious with just enough spice. This is probably one of my favorites. Their signature waffle fries were so fresh and piping hot. I ordered the diet lemonade (made with Splenda), definitely my favorite. Despite how busy the restaurant was, staff were cleaning tables as customers left. The ambiance appeared to be chaotic but staff were on it. On a side note: they had this iconic Bakersfield" sign that I vividly recalled seeing as a child, hanging at the restaurant. I received RAW chicken Minis. DISGUSTING!! I called the location and stated they can't help me because DoorDash delivered my food so the complaint will need to be processed with DoorDash. Imagine if a child bit into this not understanding that this can be harmful to consume. read more

Great smooth experience today. Ordered curbside pick up on the app and used a rewards coupon to get a free side. I was expecting a long wait when seeing how many people were in line for drive thru and in the pick up spots. They were busy! Even on the app they said it could be 5-10 mins to get my order so I settled down with my podcast and waited. Then almost immediately a young man was there with my order. It was great. Honestly, I don't know what the big fox is about. I know my kids love eating here. I think I've had it maybe once or twice I honestly think that they are overpriced for the meal. I mean I was there today because I had asked my daughter what she wanted for lunch and this is what she wanted. The service is good. The parking is very busy. This has been one of those places I've been wanting to visit for a while now, but just never made it happen. Kind of out of the way from my normal commute. Being early spring and great cool temperatures I opted to take advantage of the available outdoor seating. While the restaurant was busy throughout, it was also a relaxing atmosphere as well. I couldn't help but notice how Chick-fil-A reminded me of a very popular American burger drive thru restaurant you may know. (Located primarily in CA) A very simple menu, a drive thru and lobby that is always packed, and service that is quick but always friendly and accurate. Similarly, be careful what you say around others Chick-fil-A has a very loyal fan base, myself included I love the food here. The waffle fries are super tasty. Pretty normal chick fil a visit. Store was clean as always. Fresh flowers on the table. We took our son to play at the indoor play area and it was very clean as well. I'm never gonna see what the rest of you are seeing. There is literally nothing special about this chicken. Having had entirely mediocre experiences at other locations, I would never go to Chick-fil-A of my own volition. However, it was "take your cousin to work" day, and this is what my cousin decided to order for lunch. To be fair, the night before, I had noted that a sandwich on one of their commercials "looked bomb," and I may have even said, "I think I would actually try that, even though I've never liked that place." I personally ordered a deluxe spicy chicken sandwich with pepperjack, a side of mac and cheese, and a couple of buffalo sauces. The mac and cheese was actually pretty good. Worth 4 stars, if you will. As I bit into my sandwich, I immediately flashed back to the break room of McDonald's on State Street in Santa Barbara, because that's exactly what the chicken tasted like. Before writing this review, I actually Googled, "Why is Chick-fil-A so popular?" I have never seen a more efficient and dedicated team worker than the drive thru team at this location. The drive thru associate challenged me to ensure the accuracy of my order with great dedication after multiple denials from me stating it was correct and yet... it wasn't. She did this all while training a new associate and still provided great customer service. The kind sir (tall with blond hair cascading under his hair flowing in the wind) took my order and paid great attention to my energy and maintained such a positive attitude. The young lady that was dedicated to ensuring DoorDash/Uber orders were accurate and all handled the high pressure with such amazing confidence and was committed to unbridled service. It was a nice experience! We found a parking spot right out front, there was no line when we walked in to order ( considering how crowded they were ). The cashier was a sweetheart. And there was one 4 seater table left when we went to go sit down. Lol There drive thru is always insane and they constantly have a heavy flow of traffic inside as well for those who ordered pick up, so it was pretty loud and crowded inside the entire time, and the dining area is not that big either. Food came out pretty fast, and everything was really fresh tasting! Chicken was hot & juicy, waffle fries were perfectly salted and crispy, my husband's milkshake was awesome, the half iced tea/half Lemonade's were pretty good, The only thing really was that the buns were smashed and there was no sauce on the sandwiches. . . There probably made that way, and they do offer a verity of different sauce packets when you order, but still, sauce should come on the sandwich already instead of having to take apart your sandwich to spread it on yourself. 2 combos came out to 26$ something, which is normal for fast food now and day's lol. So, there I was, bright and early at the Chick-fil-A drive-thru, ready to pick up an order and deliver it like the responsible breakfast hero I am. Now, I'm not allergic to getting out of my car--I'm not that lazy--but I figured, "Hey, why not save us all some time and just grab it at the window?" Efficiency, right? Now, don't get me wrong--I respect a good system. But c'mon, we live in a world where my phone can tell me how many steps I took yesterday and probably how many chicken nuggets I've eaten this year. Surely, she could've just confirmed my order right there on the screen. But hey, rules are rules. So, I parked, went inside, and approached the first team member I saw. He gave me the classic "Over there" finger point--no "Good morning!" or "My pleasure!"--just a directional gesture like I was navigating an airport terminal. Eventually, a kind young lady handed me the order, and boom--mission accomplished. Look, I get it: Chick-fil-A runs a tight ship, and policies exist for a reason. There are very few fast food places that I can say have never disappointed me. This isn't one of them but it's pretty darned close! Bakersfield Chick-fil-A food has been consistently good. The service is excellent and their management team have always treated me in a professional manner. Being African American and hearing about race issues with the company. I am happy to say at this location I've never experienced it. Oscar and serval other managers have had nothing but smiles and great service. This locations sponsors some games at CSUB (local university) love yo see the cow at the games. Plus when the home team wins they give out free Chick food cards. I often end up spending more money going to redeem the cards sandwich or nuggets. But, I don't mind giving my money to a place that also gives me something free back. Downside: This place has the longest waits and line in the parking lot. So, you have to time your visit on off peak hours our you're waiting in the drive thru forever. They have lots of staff outside with their iPad taking orders down the line. It's just a super busy place, they do their best. However, instead of closing it for remodeling they should've just opened a second location. Because it's still super busy and some days they lose money because I know several people that leave because of the line. Use the app and car hop service it scores! Also, if you arrive and the drive thru line is long, but spots in parking are empty. I advise you to park and go inside. I did this yesterday and when I came out a nice red mustang that was in line when I went in was just making it up to the window. Score on the walk in! We had one box of nuggets missing, but a manager jumped on it and moved us to the side register and charged me and got our order fixed quickly. I felt it should've been just given to us for the inconvenience and the long 20 mins we had waited for our food and having to get back into line but every manager doesn't realize the importance of a return visit for that little kick back to apologize for the missing item. This is probably my favorite fast food chicken spot in Bakersfield. Yes, I like Cane's, but I think I choose Chick-fil-A over them. It's all about the sauces here and they have tons of sauces for the people that like to keep it saucy. I like all their sauce, but my favorite is the original Chick-fil-A sauce. Chick-fil-A has been here for a little while now and amazingly I have tried breakfast once a long time ago and I don't remember it, so my review is strictly for their lunch/dinner items. Honestly, after eating the nuggets here, I don't know if I could look at the Chicken McNuggets the same. The nuggets here taste fresh and you can tell the quality is better. Their chicken sandwiches are really good and even their plain chicken sandwich is delicious and lightly seasoned. The crisscut fries are really good and lightly salted. I don't like when fries are super salty, so to me their crisscut fries are perfect. Do what that cow recommends and please "eat mor chikin" haha. You will not regret it! ;-P read more
