I heard the potato wedges were back, so I went. I ordered a chicken strip meal with coleslaw and a small order of wedges and the apple pie bites. Got home and had fries, but no coleslaw. The wedges were disappointing. They were soggy and oily, not the crisp, fluffy wedges I remembered. The apple pie bites were like those little pastries you get at the grocery store...just ok. I ordered a 10 piece legs and thighs this morning at 11:30. The food came out very fast, like less than one minute. But the chicken pieces were two distinctive colors, some was darker and seems to be not fresh. The other was a bit lighter and did not seem to be as dry. All of the chicken legs and thighs were so small. A very bad value. This store may have the banner outside about being in the top 50 KFCs in the US. I call bullshit on that claim. They do not even serve up good basic chicken. And the tiny pieces? What a ripoff. I could put my parrot on a treadmill and her drumsticks would be this size in two months. Placed an order on the app for their Tuesday special for 10 piece bucket for $10. I also ordered a large side of Cole slaw. Food was ready 10 minutes later when I arrived and was hot and delicious as always. I also noticed a sign that they are one of the 50 best KFC in the country so that was a plus. Additionally $10 bucks for a 10 piece bucket and you can go home and feed your family under $20 bucks. I made mashed potatoes at home so was a great dinner today. The cashier is friendly and helpful, our orders are always correct, a welcome change from most quick service restaurants where the young people are lethargic, ignore you and act like they are doing you a favor waiting on you. Now, the food was served almost instantly, I barely had enough time to fill my beverage, the food presentation seems to appear upscale, a colored cardboard box with a checkered paper in the box. The plastic plates are gone. The chicken is still my favorite, extra crunchy, the mashed potatoes are exquisite, and their coleslaw is my favorite. The parking lot is small and confusing and the drive-thru is short. Like 1 1/2 cars short. But none of that is KFC's fault. This location was POPPIN when we arrived; there were already 2 cars in line and 2 others pulled up when we did. When we pulled up to the speaker, we just stated we had an online pick-up and were told to pull forward. They had everything packed and ready. Went to KFC around 9 last night to get a hot meal before going home. I ordered chicken and waffles and 1 BBQ chicken little. I got home, ate the chicken and waffles, which I'll say are not bad.
