This was my celebration meal for getting through summer school. It was the perfect choice. I ordered the 2pc Spicy Chickenjoy w/ Jolly Spaghetti. This is my favorite spicy fried chicken of all time because it is HOT and crispy. I love to give it a good dunk in the gravy for the perfect bite. Pairing it with the jolly spaghetti is my go-to. If anyone has ever asked "Why does Filipino spaghetti have hot dogs?" the answer is simple-- because it's delicious! Filipino spaghetti is sweet and tangy, and an absolute must have when visiting Jollibee. The service here was excellent and pretty quick. I visited this location on a Sunday around 11:10AM. It was quite funny because we pulled into the parking lot, and my partner was asking where it was and I pointed and said "it's probably the building with the bucket of fried chicken on it." I couldn't get over how funny that is! I walked in on a mission to get that dang Jollibee glass tumbler. I saw a sign that said the location was allotted 108, and when I arrived it looked like there was ten or so remaining. There was nobody in line to order, but appeared as though two people in front of me had already been helped. We placed a large order at 11:15am for the 10pc chicken joy, the glass tumbler, Yum burger with cheese snack pack, spaghetti family pack, and some sides including mashed potatoes, rices, and coleslaw. They had a promotion running if you spend $35, then you get a free chicken sandwich too. About ten minutes after placing the order, our food was ready. There was a small mix up because I thought I said to go, but it was rang in as dine in (I'm really not sure if this was my error, or the cashier's error), but when the food was ready it was on a tray. I asked if we can have it bagged up for take out and Iris was very sweet and kind about it. It was really refreshing to see someone not get upset or defensive about extra work a little mistake caused. I really appreciated the customer service. When we got home, the order was accurate. Unfortunately, I was so excited about the food, it didn't even cross my mind to take a photo of the feast. I really enjoyed that the chicken skin was still crunchy, and the chicken itself was still moist. As for the spaghetti, and yumburgers - they tasted just like the other locations we've had in the Valley, SGV, and in Honolulu. It's really nice to have this option here in Bakersfield. My bf got a burger but I don't remember which one.. I got the 2 piece chicken meal that came with a palabok.. I didn't kno it came with gravy already.. As for my drink I grabbed a new one that I haven't tried which was a dragon fruit drink.. the drink was ice cold and refreshing.. service, as always at other jollibees is excellent!! Had never heard of Jollibee before but it might be the best fest food fried chicken there is, and up there with the best fast food chains. Chicken was crispy, juicy and the pieces are a good size. Fries were crispy, could have been salted more but thats a personal preference. Gravy was really good too. First of all talk about great pricing! 2 pieces of chicken, fries, a drink and a little pie for $11 that's value you just can't beat. The chicken was delicious, nice and crispy breading and not dried out at all. Really enjoyed the chicken and the spice was perfect. The fries are basic run of the mill fries but the gravy that came with them was a nice surprise and added some good flavor to dip the fries in. Well, here we go again Jollibee!!! I've given good and bad reviews to Jollibee's in the past, but this is worse than ALL the others. So I saw a commercial about White meat chicken tenders available at Jollibee's. Drove 8 miles across town to give them a try! WOW was that a waste...These are possible the WORST tasting AND WORST value chicken tender meal in town!! First, the chicken, supposedly cooked to order was WAY over cooked, but even cooked right, it wouldn't have saved it! The chicken looked nothing like the pictures on the website and did not taste as wonderful as the regular chicken tastes! Maybe a frozen cheap version they throw in a fryer! Anyway, stick to the other chicken, as chicken tenders are a dud! DO NOT waste your money even trying these, they were horrible! Not to mention they are so overpriced for what you get! McDonald's chicken nuggets taste better and they are like bottom of the barrel!! $13.49 for three emaciated chicken pieces with old cold dried out fries and a drink! Don't waste your gas to come try these, not worth it. Took advantage of the leap year coupon deal online: 10off30. Picked up combo meals for the family because who wants to cook on Friday Eve on leap year? At any rate, the online coupon is only valid thru today 2/29/24. For all online orders $30 and over, you get $10 off. I ordered online earlier today for 6:00pm pick up. We arrived at 6:01 and the food is neatly packed in a big bag with all the extra napkins and utensils. For each Chickenjoy combo meal you order, you get a side of gravy. The gravy was still hot even when we got home, as well as the food. Even though the fried chicken was packed in the compostable boxes, it stayed crispy. I much prefer Jollibee's Chickenjoy over KFC's. I don't know, maybe I'm biased because I'm Filipino. But I just haven't found a comparable fast food chicken place that can beat the the flavor and texture of Jollibee's. And of course, dipped in that gravy, it's chef's kiss. We stopped here for a quick bite cus we were getting hangry and I won't say no to fried chicken. The place was very clean and the staff were friendly and courteous. We were first impressed with their pricing. Compared to other fast food fried chicken places, Jollibee seemed to understand it shouldn't cost you your first born child to some fried chicken. We liked that they gave a few different options besides fries to go with your meal. The combo we ordered offered a chicken sandwiches with one side, a drink, and a hot peach and mango pies for $11.00 not bad for all that, so we got two of those one regular and one spicy withjalapeños. For my side, I got the mashed potatoes and gray and my husband got the Adobo rice. The mashed potatoes impressed me, I was actually able to taste some butter and they didn't seem like imitation ones like you get from that three letter place. I would have liked a little more gravy, but that's just me. Their adobo rice was a nice serving and it was flavorful as well. We really enjoyed our chicken sandwiches. The chicken was a decent size and wasn't over seasoned or heavy in batter. The sandwich was fresh and tasty as it was topped with romaine lettuce and a slice of tomatoe and had their special sauce. The only thing I think it needed was a pickle to complement the chicken more. Finally to the dessert. The peach and mango pie. My eyes were excited to see that the outside crust was exactly like the old school hot apple pies from Micky D's. One bite and that sound of the crunch was bliss and so was the pie. The jollispaghetti was acceptable, if you've never had Phillipino style spaghetti is comes with ketchup sauce and hotdogs and is on the sweeter side. I enjoyed a few bites but I know that it's not for everyone. To me it's worth a try. I tried the pineapple quencher for the first time, their specialty drinks are usually tasty and I love pineapple. This drink hits the mark especially since it was a hot day, this was quite refreshing and tasted like pineapple juice that's a little watered down, not in a bad way. I would definitely get it again. The peach mango pie is also a must. The fruit filling is delicious and not too sweet. The crust is fried and is a portable/hand pie. I do suggest waiting to eat it to let the filling cool down.
