Can't ask for better. Clean, modern, and organize. Excellent staffs and great customer service. It can get very busy at times, but this place is worth waiting at. This chain in Bakersfield serves high quality flame-broiled meats. Excellent selections and flavors. Healthy? I think it's a better option. Korean? More like Americanized Korean takeout food with a pinch of Korean meat flavors. You get rice and vegetables plus sauces at no charge. My mini size chicken bowl with brown rice and vegetables was perfect at $6.50. Yummy! Half & half beef and chicken with white rice and vegetables was also very good at $10.50. Where can you get great taste good quality meats at fast food restaurants these days? Vegetables were healthy and good at bottom of bowl. Yes, Good grain brown rice was light. Good food packaging and food presentation. Appealing and delicious for the fast appetite. The small fountain drink was $2.75, but we got it for free since it came with the mini size bowl order. Yes, enough tables and chairs inside for dining in as desired. They get busy with takeouts. Happy hours do exist here, so definitely look for deals. Restroom was also kept clean. Around $18 combined total including taxes? Good enough. We will definitely come back and check out other chain locations. Absolutely delicious and convenient. It's the flamin' broil/off the grill taste. Generous types of quality sauces included. Decent portions. Lots of public parking available outside. read more

had the worst experience ever here last night :/ My cousin and I specifically came to this location to sit down ina quiet nice spot and have our fave healthy fast food. Unfortunately we were rudely rushed out by the tall mean-girl brunette. It was about 730 when we walked in and they didn't close until 9. She rolled her eyes as we walked in, faked a half smile when speaking to us, and each time she looked down to type the order the disgust was quite loud on her face. We told her we'd eat here and again she huffed and rolled her eyes. she gave us our food bagged up. We were sitting at a table and after giving us our food she proceeded to sweep directly next to our table...and if you don't know you should know that's rude af. After this we left bc clearly she's sending a message. I know so many people Desperate for work and yet here she is being an ass on the job that she chooses to work at. Weird. Hope you find joy one day. read more

Super disappointed these two times that we've gone.. chicken is overcooked/dry. The rice was crisp, the only good thing was the veggies.. I'm going to miss flame broiler. The family pack was always are go to read more

Flame Broiler - Super dry chicken typically the bowl is full of - Fast Food Near Me - Bakersfield, California

Ordered the family meal tonight. It came with a choice of meat (we got combo of chicken and beef), steamed veggies (broccoli, carrots, and cabbage), and choice of rice (we got white tonight). For about $30, we got three full trays; each containing either the meat, veggies, or rice. It also included 4 oz containers of the magic sauce, hot sauce, and green onions. The meat is basted in sauce and/or marinated, and then charbroiled to perfection. The veggies are steamed to a softness that just has just the right texture. The food here doesn't leave you feeling bloated and nasty afterwards. It's got to be one of the healthier type of "fast food." And since it's the start of a new year, what better choice than Flame Broiler! FYI, the online ordering system only had the Gosford location, not the Coffee Road one. So, I ended up calling the order in. They also happened to take my payment over the phone today, which was convenient for me when I decided to pick up my food. read more

I mean dis place is good n all but man I keep havin an issue when I want some sauce. These dopes have on their menu "includes 3 sauces" for a regular bowl. But they ALWAYS give me 2. The other day I went up to the reg and told Noah I only got two magic sauces with my reg bowl. I wanted to add that new hot n spicy one for my third and he said sorry I have to charge u... I said on yo menu it says 3 and I only gots 2? He continued to explain that sauces cost extra .... I don't get it. Please fix this if u a manager reading my post read more

I ordered a simple chicken breast, rice and carrot bowl. It was fantastic, especially with the magic sauce. I ordered extra on the side. Service was excellent and everyone working there were very friendly. I got there around 11 and the ambience was pleasant and inviting. I would definitely go back to the Brimhall and Allen place again. read more

When I tell you this is the BEST flame broiler location.... came in around 6 pm on a Wednesday night. The place was literally spotless. I love when I walk into a restaurant and its clean! I ordered the beef bowl with veggies and white rice and it was so tasty. I waited maybe 5 minutes for my food which was amazing because people were coming in and out a lot around this time. The service was friendly & I will be back!!! read more

Started the year right with some curd love. Tried and Loved the tofu bowl! Very savory, and just the right amount in a bowl so you don't feel too gluttonous after finishing the food. There's sesame, green onions, and teriyaki sauce. Tried the hot sauce, I liked the sriracha sauce better with the bowl. Overall, a great tasty meal. read more

Its been so long since I had flame broiler! I was really looking forward to this. But I was disappointed when I saw that they now give out the sauces themselves and you only get like 2 with your meal! I love the magic sauce and want like 4 with my bowl. When we were paying and the cashier asked if we want any sauces I asked for A LOT of magic sauce please. With my regular bowl and his plate we got 4. When I asked for more she said more than this would be 50 cents each. Thats something she should've mentioned when we were paying not after! Besides this, the food was okay. The veggies were not cooked I felt like I was eating raw vegetables. I love flame broiler so I'm hoping not all of them are gonna be a bad experience for me. read more

Service, just ok but wasn't expecting 5 star, taste, bland & no flavor. Like the white meat chicken tasted like NOTHING. Zero flavor lol. I guess some people like that. Never have I heard someone say, "mmmm, no flavor!! I love it." Sauces were just ok but didn't make up for the plain Jane unseasoned chicken. I asked for chicken & veggies and got chicken and rice. Nice! 1 & done read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. the service was great. the cashier was super kind and she was very respectful and patient with me. the food was nice and hot. it was brought out to me almost instantly. it's very clean there and overall, the food + service was a 10/10. i love. read more

Went in last Saturday evening with my husband, it was our first time. The girl that helped us was super nice and let us try a sample of the spicy sauce. She was very helpful. Flame Broiler - Chicken bowl broccoli carrots onions cabbage rice MAGIC SAUCE - Fast Food Near Me - Bakersfield, California

The other day I heard someone say they had never been to Flame Broiler. I was immediately sad for them because they have been missing out on some super delicious, healthy and simple food! I don't know what it is about this food, but I am so happy when I know I'm having it! The bonus part? They are healthy, they're so inexpensive and they have weekday and weekend deals! You can have a mini-bowl, a regular bowl, or a plate. Choose between chicken or beef or half/half. They ask if you want white or brown rice, veggies or green onions. Whatever you decide, don't forget the MAGIC sauce! That's it. Short, simple and sweet! read more

The food from this place tastes fresh every time I've purchased anything from this place. The chicken has a very nice charred taste to them which makes them unique from their competitors. Food-5 Value-4 Portion-4 Atmosphere-n/a read more

I was hoping for something a little more flavorful. Given its healthy I like that. I ordered the 1/2 beef 1/2 veg I liked the vegetables. The meat was bland like boiled meat but dry, over cooked and chewy. I had 4 large pieces of gristle in my bowl. I eventually gave up on the meat and gave it to my husband and just ate the rice and vegetables. the rice was extremely dry and not seasoned. Some spices could of made me proud in a major way. Maybe cilantro or citrus maybe vinegar. I'm all for no salt but nothing at all that shameful. Doubtful I'll be returning, it's out if my way and I cook better. I really hate leaving these kind of reviews so please change your recipe. I gave them a second chance and the beef was good. Not great, just good. Still wish I loved closer to a waba ;) read more

Someone at this location clearly smokes inside. You can smell it as soon as you walk in. There is a scent of cleaning product as well, but whatever they are using is not working. The staff is not as welcoming as the other locations. It's unfortunate because they are a somewhat healthy choice and being near the gym makes them a go to. I'll just drive the extra distance to a better location like Gosford. read more

This is my go-to place after an intense workout on Monday evenings, and it never disappoints. Clean ingredients, and my favorite is the steamed cabbage. The place is clean and they are really fast with getting your order ready. Also, it's nice they have the vegan option/ organic tofu. read more

I come pretty often and nearly always have a good experience, but this last time was completely off. The chicken was tough, it had a ton of cartilage, I ordered it spicy but there was hardly any of the spice sauce on it. It was as if it was just cooked and not tossed in anything. I only got a few bites in before tossing the whole bowl after I noticed my stomach was spinning and began feeling very nauseous. Don't know what's going on. Hopefully I just got a bad batch or something. Bummed and disappointed this time around. Feels like I got ripped off, tbh, but it happens. I know this isn't common, based on past experiences. read more

Mom and I like to eat heathy whenever we can, so we're always on the lookout for new restaurants that qualify, particularly if it is healthy FAST FOOD, so you can imagine how excited we were to try out the new Flame Broiler restaurant on Coffee Road. I ordered a beef veggie bowl and mom ordered the chicken veggie bowls. The bowls were both simply constructed consisting of rice, steamed broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and green onions. The meat is marinaded and grilled (not fried) but the best part is that it isn't drowned in a sugary sauce. You have the option of eating it the way it comes, topping it with magic (it's not really magic, it's teriyaki) sauce, and/or the hot sauce. I really appreciate the fact I get to choose how much of each sauce to use. Mom used a little of the teriyaki sauce and I used a little teriyaki and a LOT of the hot sauce. It's healthy. It's tasty. It's not the cheapest, but it's not horribly expensive, either. I'm not convinced that it is definitively better than Kento's, but it's a contender. read more

I admit that I am not really into eating healthy. I love fattening, greasy, and oily foods. I also love sweets!! As my fellow yelpers have mentioned, the Flame Broiler makes some good healthy food. That is not really my thing. Their beef bowls and chicken bowls taste too bland to me. Guess I should add more "magic" sauce to give it some flavor. Bottom line is I'd rather go to Kento's for their bowls or pay a bit more and go to Pho 88 further down the strip mall for my Asian food fix. read more

One of my favorite spots to grab food. It's fast, fresh, clean, consistent, and delicious! It's a healthier version of a rice bowl, no fats, skins, msg. You can choose brown or white rice! I get the regular half and half bowl. (Half chicken and half beef) white rice, veggies, and green onion! But it's all about the sauces! *drooling* Their magic sauce is great, and their "hot hot" sauce adds the perfect punch. Every associate I've ordered from have been sweet, and attentive. You can also call and place your order ahead of time! read more

Flame Broiler - Half and half bowl with my bag of magic sauce! - Fast Food Near Me - Bakersfield, California

It's good for what it is. Fast, cheap, healthy, and it's right next to the apt. I ordered the BEEF ANGUS and the CHICKEN BOWLS WITH VEGGIES. Beef was a bit rough, but it wasn't bad. I think it's an extra 5 cents for the vegetables. You can choose between white or brown rice, your choice of meat, and whether you want green onions or not. Their magic sauce is just Teriyaki sauce. Convenient spot for lunch! read more

Not very happy. You have a choice of rice and you can have half vegetables. Well this is the second time I asked for all vegetables (no rice) . You would think they would give me extra vegetables. In the picture the bowl has all vegetables and the chicken. This is not the mini . This is the regular size bowl. Definitely did NOT get my money's worth. read more

Super healthy and delicious! Got the bowl and it was a great size still had left over after. Got the chicken bowl with veggies. With teriyaki on the side did not disappoint at all! Sooo yummy read more

This place is nice. Very nice staff and helpful with the menu. The food was good for the most part. The beef is marinated in some teriyaki sauce, as it is a little sweet. The chicken though, is a bit bland and lacks seasoning. The rice and vegetables were good as well. The sauces: the "magic sauce" is a teriyaki sauce that has way too much salt. Please use this with caution, as this will ruin your dish if your pour it on. "Hot sauce" is pretty much hot vinegar, as it resembles wing sauce. "Hot hot" sauce is the best one, as it has good jalepeno flavor and good heat. This is strong, be careful. Overall, this place is nice. Be careful of the sauces. As a healthy restaurant, they need to add more vegetables and reduce the amount of rice. read more
