In an effort to start eating better I dropped into WaBa for the first time the other day. I had the chicken and steak bowl with veggies and the garlic serrano sauce. It was a big hit with my taste buds, everything was well cooked and well seasoned and it was just enough to fill me up. We are regular customers at Waba Grill, I stopped by to pick up dinner recently. I ordered the shrimp bowl, which came with rice and veggies. The bowl was a good size and had a decent amount of shrimp. I chose the garlic Serrano sauce, and it was very tasty. I also tried the additional Wahba Blaze sauce, and wow it was very spicy! I can normally handle spice, but this one definitely had some heat. For my husband, I added the plant-based steak bowl, which is usually his go-to. The meat was soft and had a surprisingly real steak-like texture. This bowl also came with rice, veggies, and the garlic Serrano sauce. Overall, service was good and quick. Popped in after working out to Waba Grill. Overall, it was a good experience, the restaurant is clean and located right near the gym so it is very convenient. The food is generally good however I feel like the quality is less than it used to be. I'm noticing that it's like that for a lot of places, but I remember Waba being a little bit better in terms of quality. I ordered a bowl with brown rice and ribeye and steamed carrots. The ribeye seem to be clump together and almost like it was boiled rather than sharp boiled or cooked on a flat top. It didn't really have any flavor and the sauce on top of it was so much that it was overpowering the meat with ginger and soy. Maybe the business has changed and I haven't been keeping up, but I was a little disappointed. In any case, the objective was to have good food from a good source of protein, and I was able to accomplish that I may try a different location to compare to this one because I don't wanna put down Waba Grill, it could just be this one location. Finally was able to try Waba Grill by actually ordering in their store. It was not a big place but it was decently packed for a weekday evening. Had the tofu bowl since we were trying to lessen our calorie intake and it was certainly healthy yet filling. They offered different types of sauce and I think the sauce went well with thr dish. And don't forget the Waba sauce, definitely takes it on a higher level. Glad to have went back here and try their other dishes! read more

I'm all about finding healthy food options on the go and I am so happy I found this place! The serving sizes are great, the food is fresh and healthy, and you wont spend any more than you would at a cheaper fast food drive thru! I appreciate the calories being clearly listed on the menu so you don't have to guess how many you are consuming. I haven't eaten in the restaurant physically, but I have ordered the food for pick up and delivery and they have gotten my order right every time! My only complaint is how little shrimp you get when you order shrimp as your protein. read more

Wanted something healthy. Decided to get the salad because rice was too heavy for me. I got the Spicy Asian Salad with chicken. It had great flavor. The spicy sauce was mixed very well amongst the wontons, edamame, tomatoes and carrots. It gave the salad a great spicy saucy flavor instead of the typical salad dressing taste. Overall I liked the salad but the chicken was pretty dry. I didn't expect that, with all the flavors on the salad. I thought it would be a tasty chicken, but it was not. I actually ended up eating the salad goodies but pulled the chicken out. I think next time, I will still get the salad but maybe change the protein to steak or something else. Based on my first experience going today I would recommend WaBa Grill. I had an enjoyable lunch and dining experience. I'm glad I didn't check the yelp reviews prior to coming. Had I done so I most likely would not have gone there due to the number of low ratings. The poor reviews on yelp do not reflect the great experience I had today. I'm happy to report that the food and service was very good! I can thank Alexis for his service and recommendations. The dining area is not spacious but that was not an issue for me. WaBa Grill opened rather recently. We have enjoyed the updated area and choice of restaurants so far. I chose a WaBa bowl with all veggies and shrimp. WaBa seems to refer to the signature sauce used in their meals. I'm not sure about the sauce. It's not horrible, but I'm not a fan. I'll likely ask for it be placed on the side or left off next time. It's a familiar set up as some of the newer chains. Walk in an aisle up against a wall up to the counter, order from large overhead menu, sit until your food is ready. For a rather health conscious menu, I was surprised there were not many 0 calorie drink options. Brewed ice tea is pretty simple, but nope. Many bottled drinks available. Bottled water $2.49, which was the same as a fountain drink. 3 of us had 2 plates, a bowl, 2 regular drinks and a Gatorade for $45 The indoor seating is rather limited. It's a strangely small space. I kept feeling the set up just didn't work. No outside seating. You could probably get away with sitting at the outside seating at Urbane Cafe. Bathroom was super clean. read more

The food at WaBa is always really fresh and the portions are above an average meal size. The variety of sauces fits every type of craving with sour, sweet, and/or spicy. Went in at 8:30 p.m on a saturday night (They are open until 9 p.m. As soon as we walked in we noticed that the cook in the back was already cleaning the grills and other machinery they use to cook the chicken. We did not end up getting served because the cook and cashier told us that they were "unable to prepare white meat chicken because they did not have enough chicken for two bowls." At that point why be open?? If the restaurant operates until 9 p.m then every food item should be available until 9 p.m, plain and simple. Terrible service and lazy cook. read more

I walked in Friday evening around 6:30 pm. There was nobody but me. The girl at the register was busy talking/laughing on the phone with AirPod in her ear.
