Pretty good for what it is! Self serving sides the protein comes out quick and everything always tastes delicious. It's not the highest quality of Korean bbq but it does the job. The service is always good, almost feels like a fast food pace you go in sit quickly order protein and boom everything's ready to go!! There's plenty of space to sit and have never really had to wait long.
This is the only AYCE KBBQ in Bakersfield (unless I haven't found the other ones) and it does the job considering I was from LA before moving here about a year ago. The place is clean and organized and their staff is welcoming and friendly even when they get super busy. The meat is good enough for the price and I love tht their sides (even the rice) is at a buffet style where you can just ger up and grab them for yourselves instead of waiting for the servers to bring them to you. You can munch on them while waiting for your meat to cook. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want to satisfy your kbbq cravings without having to drive too far.
It's a quiet afternoon, the ambience in the restaurant is slow. At first, we thought it was just meat and some shrimp for bar b que. but, they have a buffet of sides that you can get as many times as you want, steamed rice, kimchee, lapsea or rice noodle, thin slices of cold fried eggs, and a lot more of sides. We had fun bar b queing bulgogi meat, beef briskets, beef belly slices at firsdt cause you can only order 3 items at a time. Afterwards, we had marinated pork and marinated pork belly in this slices which is like bacon except it does not taste salty. We had shrimp as well, for dessert we had pineapple chunks, and ice cream. All for $35.99/person. Great price for great service by the waiter, great food and choices. I would recommend Love Bar b que restaurant to all.
Girls night decided to give this place another try and I'm kind of happy we did as they've changed a few things. It's almost like they actually read my review! The robot was gone or at least it didn't make an appearance this time around. Our sweet server not only lit our fire from the beginning this time but she came and changed out our burner often. I'm guessing she does that so the place doesn't fill with smoke from burning up old juices left behind on the burners? She was also way more attentive this time around coming by and changing out our drinks often. The buffet table was still good but I really wish they'd tag all of the items so I'd know what each dish was. This time I ate the cold broccoli, the clear noodles, and the rice all was great. As for the meats, this time we tried the bulgogi, the brisket, the spicy marinated chicken, and the short ribs. I wasn't a fan of the chicken. I can't put my finger on what type of chili they used but it had a weird taste. The brisket once cooked looked like that packaged frozen beef named Steakumms you can buy in the freezer section of most stores. The bulgogi was delicious but I believe that's because it's marinated so it has flavor. The brisket has no seasoning and all they have on the table is salt and pepper to season the meat so I suggest getting a meat that's already marinated for better flavor. This is a cool spot to come if you're looking for a nice date or something as it's different than just going out to dinner. But be careful because It's also pretty hot in this restaurant with all the cooking going on and for whatever reason they don't turn on the vents to get some of the hot air out. I would not come in the summertime unless you want to sweat all of your makeup off.

It's also nice to see all the options as some places don't list what they offer and you don't find out til a friend mentions it or you see it in a photo online. The selections of meats and sides was good. Meats were pretty standard styles for a KBBQ. We got bulgogi, brisket, marinated chicken, and pork belly. Bulgogi was my fave with pork belly being my second. I really enjoyed everything plus good service so will definitely be back!
Don't waste your money. Soooo bad. It's like the only spot in Bakersfield that does KBBQ and it's $35 a person which is way too much for the quality. The sides are trash, the place was cold and wet and leaky from the roof, and the service was meh. The meat was alright but this is probably the worst KBBQ I've ever had and it was all I wanted after a long day of driving. Please choose something else if you're ever passing through this city.
After visiting Korea, I can see the difference in KBBQ. I'm very glad to have this in Bakersfield its something we needed. As for the meats I would say the marinated meat are the best in taste, great flavor! They have a good amount of side dishes, but to make the meat not stick to the pan they're missing the chunk of fat to spread on the grill it would save a lot of cleaning. Don't be afraid they're not playing KPOP all the time, the playlist they had was great! We had a male waiter and he was very attentive. And guess what they have a robot that brings you your meat
My family loves Korean BBQ so we decided to finally check this one out. We have been here a couple of times now. During the pandemic we were anticipating the opening of this place and then when it finally opened it didn't tickle our fancies so we weren't in a rush to check it out. I feel like this place is good for Bakersfield. Bakersfield needs more AYCE KBBQ places. Because I've had really good KBBQ places in SoCal it's hard for me not to compare it. First of all, the sides are AYCE, they don't have a wide variety of sides, but just know it's not as fresh. Maybe it was fresh in the beginning of the day, but the times we visited it was in the evenings. The sides are at a buffet like table and you serve yourself. You can tell the staff doesn't clean up this area often since there's food scattered here and there. It's not disgusting, but it does appear like most buffets. The meats seem good quality, but not top tier quality. The meats are seasoned well and they have nice sauces. I think I would continue to come back since my boys like this place, but this would not be a regular place for me. I think I would only come back if a relative or friend wanted to go check it out or if my boys wanted to come. On a plus side, they actually have a good amount of people that dine in, so that's a sign that meats are fresh. The restaurant seems old inside. The walls and crevices does not seem clean. I thought this was odd considering it's been open just a couple of years. The staff seemed nice, it's a hit and miss. Sometimes they don't check up on us as frequently and other times they are on point. I think it depends on your server. The AYCE KBBQ places in SoCal are more consistent with service. I don't know if this is a family owned business, but I hope this place thrives since we need more AYCE KBBQ places in Bakersfield.
This is a sizzling restaurant, literally. The food (meat) is good, but the salad bar options are not very fresh. The service was good, but has room for improvement. The ambiance is fun, pretty busy, the price is expensive, however, it's all you can eat meet so the price is fair.

I get why it got its mid-ratings. It's practically self serve everything besides the type of meats coming in. Your platters, sauces, and rice are all at the station with the Kim chi and side dishes. The only missing were the big lettuce wraps and zucchini that I would usually get with the meal. It was good but not great. The vents are basically there for decor as they don't work properly. I was catching all the smoke into my face and clothes but you can smell it through out the restaurant. There's no service besides the occasionally change out of grills when it gets too smokey and if you dare to refill your meats to avoid a up-charge of $20 for having too much leftovers. They do get busy so I see that there are people who actually like the self serve buffet option. read more

The customer service was great The food was super good We moved from la so we been missing some Korean bbq and don't feel like driving all the way there so I'm glad this place is near us it deff hit the craving part for us The beef belly is my favorite Will be coming back read more

Food is good when we'll stocked. The ambiance is aiight. The service is okay. My only issue is I had gastric and I went here to celebrate a birthday for my daughter and I ask them to charge me maybe a child price because you know I ain't gonna eat that much and they refused. So I'm essentially paying $35 for banana sized portion of food. Now I didn't have to eat here but because my daughter wanted to eat here about five people and one drink cost about $220 without tip, of course I added a tip. But I felt that the new prices being like $35 per person is a little high even for inflation. When you ask for square, they only bring you one piece of squid when I bring octopus to you. It's only five pieces , so I'm going to upload the menu and show you what everything looks like and I hope you find this review helpful. It is a fun place to go to. I'm not going to lie they do have all the sides that you can get yourself you do serve yourself, your own rice, your own soup, your own side dishes and they do have ice cream, I have a push button in case you need them to come to your table faster and I didn't see the robot last night. Yeah you heard me correct there is a robot there I would opt to go for a lunchtime instead of a dinner time. read more

I don't need to go to So Cal to eat good Korean restaurant. Good variety of meat, didn't even try all, was already full. We had to make sure no extra meat because they charge 20$. Lol. Salad bar has a lot of options and d ice cream are good. read more

So so good! Meat was yummy! I personally liked the side dish buffet along with the self serve sauce and utensils and rice. I felt it was very convenient to get your own side dish rather than having it already on the table and could potentially go to waste if the customer ends up not eating it. Our server was very nice and checked on us multiple times and was very quick! We went around 12:30pm and the restaurant wasn't that busy so it wasn't too loud, you would just hear the music. Towards the end of our meal, thats when more customers started to come in and the volume would get louder. read more

Made a visit here for lunch. My companion and i had the lunch deal - all you can eat for $23.99 per person. And i wish i could rate it better...but the flavors of the meat were meh. The portions are big...but I'm looking for deliciousness! The service was good and they had a good amount of options for meats and bon chon. But again, my complaint is the taste was just not there. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, I wasn't expecting the sides bar where you can pick your own sauces and sides like japchae (delicious). I was not expecting the coolest robo server, or the button to call for help. I definitely wasn't expecting to pay such a great price for an AYCE experience with quality meat and marinades. I loved the feel of this restaurant too, it was very mellow. The server was easygoing and took time to answer questions and make suggestions. I loved my time here! I cannot wait to return . read more

Arrived about 7:30 this place closes at 10 according to them, the. Their last service call for meat is 8:30. They charge for everything here for buffet. They charge per person/child, they charge for soda (any drink) , they also say they charge if you leave any meat behind. This is ridiculous if you are already paying for your entrance fee. If you want to get your moneys worth, come early. Also, if your kids don't eat much, don't bring them, by boys only had soda and ice cream, yup they had to pay full price for sitting with us. read more
