Love this place! New favorite Korean bbq spot in Bakersfield. My son, wife, and I went to give it a try and were please with how friendly the owners are. The establishment is clean and welcoming, but the star of the show was the food! My goodness. Not sure how the marinade those short ribs, but they are 10/10! Not only that but the kimchi. Everything I've tried so far has been incredible. Our last visit the owner offered to pack our left overs to which we said yes. She packed our left overs, and even hooked it up with more white rice and kimchi, so my lady can eat it for lunch the next day. An act of kindness i will not forget. Finally decided to come try the wings at this place and it did not disappoint. Walked in with my 8 month old and were quickly and so very warmly greeted at this very cozy place. The female owner/chef took my child to hold and carry him while we looked at the menu. Asked how old he was and they busted out some teether snacks for him before giving him back. Definitely a family friendly establishment. I felt like family and will definitely be going back. We ordered the fried tofu, fried chicken wings, and hot stone bibimbap. The bibimbap came with 3 banchan sides, with the kimchee being the standout. The wings were perfectly crunchy and flavorful. The REAL showstopper though... is their sweet, sticky, garlic sauce!!! Can I give 10 stars instead of 5? Service is the best here and if we lived in Bakersfield, we would be supporting them all the time...but instead I'll just have to tell everyone I know to stop here whenever they're in the area! We walked in and the owner greeted us like she knew us and immediately started to play with our kids. Our son is very shy but our daughter was all for it! We were driving through on a long road trip so we would take any break we can get! Before we even got menus, she ran to the back and got snacks & juice for my son, which was amazing so he could just sit and eat while we ordered. We ate kimchi fried rice with spam, and an order of bulgogi with comes with rice and banchan. Our son ate the rice by himself. She also cooked a little bowl of rice and eggs for our daughter, and she sat down and pulled up a chair, and started feeding her. Didn't ask, didn't tell us to eat, she was just in her own world and truly wanted to help take care of her, it was so adorable. She would ask us if she could give her water or some of the spam first though. Our daughter who is usually very antsy, sat through the entire meal and ate it all up! My son pointed at the ice cream macarons and she said to grab any for him. She only charged us for the kimchi fried rice and the bulgogi that we ordered. My son had a great time too after all his food and juice, he even gave her a hug when we left. The kimchi fried rice was so good and she mixed it up with the egg for us. I've never had it with peas and carrots before, I could've done without it and just enjoyed it with the spam! The bulgogi was also so flavorful and tender and I liked that it was thinly sliced and weren't giant pieces. She said that she and her husband became owners after they got bored of retirement. They are truly just doing it for fun and she said she enjoys seeing all the kids that come. She was just the sweetest angel that helped give these tired parents a break. Do you remember the game "never have I ever"? Well, never have I ever gone to a Korean restaurant and ordered any kind of food. Today, I went on a search for wings and found Crazy BBQ. The lady behind the counter could hardly speak English and it was very difficult for me to get across to her what I wanted to eat. I asked about pot stickers and she told me the price, but she didn't tell me how many. I asked about spicy chicken wings. She told me the price but not how many so I had no idea what I was going to get. I asked for napkins. Plural. She gave me one. I said I need more. I'm getting wings. While she did the cooking, I snagged another one from their supply and when she came out, she had a couple more for me and took back the one that I had taken. Hope the health department doesn't see her do that. As it turns out, you get eight potstickers. They come with soy sauce. I gotta tell you. These potstickers were crispy on the edges with chicken inside and so good! I always thought potstickers were steamed. Apparently I was wrong. They came 8 to a serving. I also ordered spicy chicken wings, not sure of the spice level. Reviewers said they were quite spicy, so I held my breath. 1st taste was "Oh no, What have I done ?" Okayyyy, I have been to Crazy BBQ before and LOVED it.. but todays meal solidified that. I believe they are under new ownership, with a completely different menu than what I had previously tried. Came for lunch with a co- worker, and was pleasantly surprised with the decor and atmosphere. Very clean and inviting! We were greeted many times by the waitress who was amazing, she recommended one of the hot stones, so we tried the spicy pork, along with the pork fried rice, egg rolls, and garlic chicken ( not pictured) The flavors were on point, and delectable. I couldn't stop eating... it was all amazing! The garlic chicken had the best crispy skin with a sweet honey garlic sauce. 10/10. This is definitely an underrated spot that needs more attention! First off the owners are amazing the lady is super sweet. It feels like going over grandmas house how attentive she was while also giving us our space to enjoy our food. This is our 3rd time and everything we have tried has been super good. My favorite has to be the army stew if you're not a spice lover ask for no spicy and WOW there is so much flavor and I love Al love veggies. Such a comforting experience and she was super sweet to my kids. She greets us and then gives us a huge warm hug. I really hope people give this place a shot so worth it! 10/10 recommended read more

Me and my best friend came here for dinner to close out a long week at work. It was around 8pm on a Friday night and it was empty! We were seated right away. I ordered the cheese tteokbokki (my favorite thing ever in the entire world now) and the black noodle. It came with banchan as well. Everything was so tasty and flavored well. We also split a bottle of strawberry soju. The restaurant is very clean and has a nice bright vibe. There were kpop posters, tv's playing youtube and a local radio station playing in the background. Now my favorite part of the whole dinner was getting to meet Lydia. (hope i am spelling that right!) She was so sweet to me and my friend, i felt like we were here own family. She helped us prepare our food and let us know about a korean food festival (happening October 1st, 2023 at river walk btw!). I decided to order something to go and ended up talking to her. She told us that her daughter makes the macaroons in house and gave us one each for free. They were delicious! She also gave me and my friend some jujubes and taught us the name in korean. I had never heard or had a jujube before, so it was such an awesome moment to experience with another person. I could really feel the love. It was a little pricy but for the service we received it was beyond worth it. I would come here everyday if I could!! I was lucky enough to stop by here for lunch one day and let me tell you... DO NOT EVER LET THIS PLACE GO OUT OF BUSINESS. It is so good. It would be a complete travesty if they go under. I will have to go back here a few more times, but this place is easily a contender for one of my favorite food spots in town. The one that I bring up if anyone is asking for recommendations. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming. I had a tough time trying to figure out what to order first, everything looked great. In the end I got the fried mackerel. Do you know how hard it was before to get mackerel? We would have to go out of town to get it. Now I can drive across town and just get a whole fish all to myself! I ended up eating only half, but the fish crisped back up pretty well in the air fryer. Service is good. It's a family run business so there isn't a lot of staff, but that is ok they are brand new. I really appreciate the owner's taking risks in their menu, putting items in that most locals may not know about. I want them to continue doing so! The food tastes home made. Like I came to visit my friend's after school and stayed for dinner. It is homey and well seasoned and just really good. Prices are good too, very reasonable! Crazy BBQ is located next to a Domino's pizza shop. There is plenty of private parking lot spaces. When you enter, you will see about 6 tables or so within the restaurant. It gets busier during dinner. There is Korean-Pop (KPOP) playing in the background, typically BTS is playing. In addition to drinks (e.g. soju), the menu consists of ramen, meats, rice plates, and appetizers. FOOD: Crazy Spicy Chicken Wings (3/5): I ordered 6 pieces with the crazy spicy sauce. The wings were rather small, and I was disappointed. The flavorful sauce is not really spicy in my opinion. You must eat the pickled radish with the wings, but it can also be used to clean the palate after the wings. Fried Rice Cakes (3/5): I thought it was going to be the spicy rice cake (Tteokbokki), but it was not. It is literally fried Korean rice cake. This is definitely shareable between 2-3 people. I highly recommend asking for the Sriracha Mayo on the side to dip the rice cakes in. This was recommended by the server afterward, and I concur with her. Pork Bulgogi Bowl (4/5): It's a pretty big bowl with a good amount of pork bulgogi. It also comes with a side salad, which was nice. Great flavors but a tad salty. I would have asked for another scoop of rice in order to balance out the saltiness. The service was good. My water never touched the bottom. The servers came by often to see how everything was. Lovely quiet Ambiance and we came after the lunch rush so we had the restaurant virtually to ourselves. The dining area features 9 tables, the decor is low key dim so you can feel relaxed as you enjoy your meal. The owners are just the nicest people, attentive and quick to answer any menu questions. Today we both had Korean label beer (chilled bottles and the glasses were pulled from the freezer on this 95° day) I've eaten Korean food on many occasions but my lunch friend had never had it. What I noticed about the menu is that not only does it have very good dish photos but they numbered the photos that corresponded to what the menu offered so you kind of have a preview to what to expect which is nice if you are new to this cultures cuisine. To start we had an appetizer that we shared of fried battered shrimp that comes with a tasty sauce for dipping. Banchan dish (complimentary 1st dish then a refill if you need is extra) is placed on the table which consisted of three types one kimchi cabbage, stir fried fish cake and the 3rd was a succulent cucumber Kimchi. All 3 were delicious We ordered number 53, BBQ Pork Galbi served on a cast iron skillet over a bed of white steaming onions. You know how fajitas are served with a steaming hot presentation? This dish is served similar to that Who doesn't love a little dramatic presentation with their meal? I know we did. That was accompanied by a small bowl of white rice. Next we ordered Item 17. Pork Katsu is served with what I believe may have been Japchae Sauce, Savory and Slightly Sweet drizzled then garnished with sesame seeds. The cabbage salad wonderfully topped with a house Mayo based sesame dressing. That dish has a generous portion of white rice as well. I ordered a take away for my husband. It was a bowl item 41 spicy pork rice bowl and that came with its own generous portion of cabbage kimchi. We felt like perhaps they could have been a little more generous with the pork meat since we are comparing it to the portion of pork on our last visit (perhaps it's our faulty memory) we sat and chatted even after our meal was over and finished our drinks never once feeling rushed to get up and go. So our experience here was a home run for Georgia who said she could see herself coming back for another meal. Don't let the outside distract you from what's going on inside the kitchen. Stopped by here before our concert. Happy we did! Service: amazing! They just started serving on sunday so it was empty when we got here. The hostess, a nice older woman, greeted us and sat us down.
