Nice spot to stop in while traveling along i5. Great burgers and fries. Super friendly staff. Definitely no secret about this place as it was busy the whole time we were there. Nice outdoor seating or grab and go.

Heading to Anaheim on I 5 , stopped at Frosty King for lunch. The service was A+ and the food as well. Burgers, fries, chicken nuggets and a milkshake hit the spot after hours on the road. If you're hungry and looking for a tasty meal with friendly service stop at Frosty King for a real treat.

This was the best spot to find, it might be the only place for miles and miles. It's a locals spot for sure, they say it's "The Best Food In Town" on the sign and I believe them. There was only 1 guy holding down the whole place, all the orders. He was turning out burgers and shakes with amazing speed. It's a greasy spoon type of place. I'll vouch for the quality of the grease. Double bacon BBQ burger was great. The chicken strips were good enough and the shakes speak volumes. If I ever find myself back in buttonwillow I hope it's lunch time.

Frosty King is LEGIT! This location off of I-5 is so much better than chick fil a, in n out, or any diners. Such a cool vibe, the owners and workers are so nice and friendly, and the food is great. Smoothest ice cream I've ever had and everything from the burgers to the chicken sandwhich was perfect. Fries nice and crispy too, and they have ranch! Lovely people, lovely food, lovely stop along the interstate. Highly recommend!

I have always loved Popeyes' spicy fried chicken, but since fried food is supposedly unhealthy, I…read moredon't indulge too often. On the road between the Bay Area and LA, I found a perfect excuse to get some "unhealthy" food because this restaurant is located conveniently off the freeway. The interior is nicely decorated: cheerful colorful, spacious, and clean. Bathrooms are close by and pleasant. I ordered with the app about ten minutes ahead of arrival and my order was ready when I got there. The lady at the counter was friendly and welcoming. So I'd say service was excellent. The two of us shared two items from the $6 menu: a 3-piece spicy chicken (two thighs and a breast) and a spicy chicken sandwich. Food was hot and fresh and delicious. The sandwich came in a soft, light bun; and the piece of chicken breast was scrumptious, moist, and tasty. The spicy fried chicken was meaty and tender. At $6 each, I would say that it was a very good value. Will definitely stop by again next time I drive through this area.

The Location: Perfectly situated at the Buttonwillow gas station hub. It is incredibly convenient for a quick transition from the highway to a comfortable seat. The facility is a great place to take a rest and make sure your "tummy is comfortable" before the next leg of the trip. The Food: The food is consistently good--hot, fresh, and exactly what you crave during a long drive. My only piece of advice is to double-check your bag before you pull away from the window or leave the counter. While the food is "yummy," they occasionally mix up the specifics. For example, if you prefer all dark meat, you might find a piece of white meat in there if you don't check. Also they just swapped the chicken piece even though you have taken your order to your table. They should not do it as they won't know what customer has done to the food. Overall: A nice, reliable place to have a meal and a necessary break during a long trip. I'll definitely be back on my next drive down south or North!

We were on our way to SoCal and wanted to try out a new restaurant on our way down from the Bay…read moreArea. Originally, we had planned on dining at Harris Ranch but after checking out their menu, I was not impressed by the choices as we would be limited to order from their breakfast menu at the time of arriving at the restaurant, and it was not an impressive selection. We quickly pivoted and came across Willow Ranch and were very excited to try so many of their dishes. We walked into the coziest little restaurant that just gives you that small town feel. Real homey and we were instantly greeted warmly by the gal at the front. She asked if we wanted to sit at the corner booth, which we gladly accepted. She took our drink order, gave us menus and let us know our server would be over shortly. Our server Destiny came over a little while later, but my son was still undecided since there was so much deliciousness to choose from, he couldn't make up his mind (it was difficult for all of us, TBH!); Destiny had to give us more time, and come back a little later. He finally settled on the Tri-tip dinner, and oh my goodness... what a fine choice he made! It was sooo tender, and melted in your mouth as soon as it hit your tongue! Wow! I don't know if I've ever had tri-tip that tender before! It was served with a fresh side salad with Italian dressing, steamed veggies, a buttered roll, and baked beans. Any time I see anything close to resembling a French Dip, I have to try it. I had the Willow Dip, which was delicious! Hot and savory served on a toasted onion bun, and a yummy au jus to dip! A close cousin to the French Dip. I substituted my side for onion rings and they had a great crunch too. My other son had the sampler platter that included chicken strips, buffalo wings, onion rings and mozzerrella sticks but asked his chicken strips be subbed for all buffalo wings, and Destiny was so sweet and accomodating. My daughter ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with french fries and they were both to kill for!Sooo so good!! Literally like a slice of heaven that Philly Cheesesteak! It may have been my favorite of all the food we had today! My husband ordered the Plow Boy and it was loaded with meat and really tasty! We were so stuffed, we could not finish it all! We are definitely coming back here on our way back home, we still have so much more to try... the Ranch Benedict, the Chicken Fried Steak, the Ribeye steak! The staff is amazing! Hats off to your chefs! This restaurant is stellar! Will be making this a must visit on our annual SoCal trips!

One gets a generous portion and the sandwich was big enough for my husband and I to share with a side of tasty sweet potatoe fries (a bit extra - or you can get plain potato fries for no extra charge). We also got a side of the creamy coleslaw which is ok and even better if you add salt and a dash of malt vinegar (it needs acid imo). I didn't take a photo of the sandwich because so many other yelpers have already done so. But trust me it's worth the stop. Service is super warm and friendly, the place is spotlessly clean, and I am a fan. We liked the sandwich so much we ordered another to go for lunch the next day. I only wish I had room for pie! They offer a wide selection of pies and I've gotta think they are yummy too. Next time.

It took us 1 hour to get our food. Regardless of the wait, the food still tasted very good. I modified some items and asked for my fries to be crispy. When I got to the receiving window the first thing that was handed to me were the fries, which were white and soggy. I let Angelina know that I ordered them light well and asked if she could swap them to which I was met an annoyed face and attitude making me repeat myself 3 times and each time she asked "what was that?" With a condescending tone, it was as if I was bothering her. Not only were the fries soggy, I ate one and they were cold and stale...meaning they were definitely not fresh. While we waited for that to be done and received the rest of our order, we asked for things like water and spread, to which she did the same thing again. She had a raised eyebrow and annoyed tone and made us repeat ourselves 3 times with a mocking "what was that??" We get the waters and were missing straws, so again we waited for her to come back. When she finally gave us the new batch of fries I asked for straws and ketchup and the same series of annoyed faces and "what was that???" (3 times )was given to us. She rudely hands me the extra items and I tell her thank you very much and she just ignored me and turned around. I understand that INO is a busy place but thats no reason to treat a customer like that, especially when I was in no way rude in my interaction. & the store wasn't even remotely filled inside. All of us in the car were surprised she didnt even say bye have a good day or anything , we were just ignored after trying to be nice even through her shitty attitude. All that, and shortly we found a hair cooked into our fries .. :) so I dont really know what to say at this point. All I hope for is that Angelina gets confronted about her poor work ethic by one of the managers and hope that the hair was just a coincidence and not malicious by whoever she told to remake the fries. This is Popeye's behavior. Do better.
