This was a fun little blast from the past. I have not been here in over 20 years and was surprised to see it still going strong. The burgers are just as delectably, greasy, messy, and delicious as I remember. Nom nom nom. The clerk was busy but still managed to smile and be polite. I ordered onion rings but got fries instead...and still ate every one. I ate my burger with a peach shake, my dad had vanilla. We spent $22 for a burger, fries, and two shakes. The wait was about 7-10 minutes. Service is slower than fast food, but the food is better and the place still has personality. I love old places like this. I'm born and bred in B- town, but I've been gone for about 15 years and unfortunately The Suburb of the Bay - San Jose has a few, but the menu differs and they don't carry Pastrami, so often when I'm home for a visit I stop by, and I'm always greeted by a familiar, friendly face. I almost turned around and left! It looks a little sketch but at that point I had already been to Frosty's on Rosedale and drove away from that first. So, very unlike me, I take my chances. I was too tired and hungry to care at this point. Their drive thru was an afterthought and a little strange as I pulled up to the door and not a window to pick up but whatever. I've came to this place many times and no problem food is usually good. The last 2 times they have over charged me and today was the last time. I ordered 4 chicken strips no fries and 1 order of friend mushrooms and a medium Dr Pepper. Total 22.00 and change when I got my order I said I'm still waiting on the drink and he asked the cashier and she said no I didn't get that. I heard her say a medium Dr Pepper when I placed the order. I looked at the menu and without the soda it's about 17. The last time I got 5 chicken salads with the up charge of avocado and they didn't give us the avocado. Although I paid for it. Unfortunately I will not be returning ever again. Went here for break since my bestie and I was craving a burger. We picked this place and it was clean on the outside; many deals displayed on the windows. We head inside and it was clean as well, got welcomed in by the lovely manager and we both ordered meals to eat there. The manager was so kind and sweet, we enjoyed eating inside and talking to her for a bit. The burgers were so delicious, and the fries were bomb and overloaded. I ordered the 4 pc chicken strips and they were so good. The ranch was the good kind of ranch too. My friends had the BLT and it was fireeee. The fries were also very delicious and well-seasoned. One of our Diet Pepsis was a little watered down, and there was a slit/hole in the straws. This cat we found at the park also enjoyed the fries and chicken strips. The service was good, the cashier was nice. It had a comfortable ambience to it like a diner. It's like you already know what ur gonna get, it's comforting. Always come here for my midnight snacks lol just kidding. I usually get jalapeño poppers, ice cream or burgers and they always come out. Great ice cream is always creamy burgers always full of flavor. Never dry and their jalapeño poppers are always on point as well. I was craving pastrami after a long evening of Christmas shopping, skipped dinner to try make as many stores as possible. Naturally, I was starving around 9pm. We went to Frostys for pastrami and chili cheese fries. Their pastrami sandwich is about $9 and change. Their small chili cheese is in fact a small.
