I grew up on Andre's. Both locations Brundage & Niles. I haven't ate there in years and eating there today took me back. We sat there and reminisced on the good old days. Now let's get to the food. Everything was great. The fries have changed but still have that classic seasoning. The service was great. I would like to see them update the seating and maybe fix the sign. Unfortunately, this burger spot fell flat. I'm giving it two stars only because the girls working there were very nice, but the food was just terrible. The peach pies didn't taste anything like peach, and the chicken salad was literally just lettuce with some hard chicken nuggets tossed on top. Andre's is a place that I had forgotten about. Back in the day, I would come here on a regular basis. About a month ago, I dropped by to see if they still made some good grub. The facade appears to be about the same as it did 30 years ago when I used to patronize their establishment. Order at the window, and grab a spot at one of their outdoor tables. You can also order at their drive-thru as well. For my first time back in years, I ordered their Western Bacon Cheeseburger combo with small fries and small drink. For dessert, I chose their Fried Apple Pie and Fried Peach Pie. Honestly, the burger was not impressive looking. Thin hamburger patty with three small onion rings and bacon. With each bite, though, this burger tasted better and better to me. By the time I finished, I was quite happy with my burger. Bacon was crisp and fresh. Fries were tasty. The pies were pretty darn good too. I look forward to making return trips to Andre's. Will have to try their French Burger to see if it tastes as good as I faintly recall. read more

I've always passed this place while working. Always found it intriguing because of its classic exterior. When pulling up into the drive through it's just as what you'd expect from an old drive-in. Looked at photos previously and what caught my attention was the pastrami sandwich. Why? Because it looks huge and I'm pastrami guy! The sandwich at first appearance is exactly what is portrayed; however, the downfall of it was the bread. It was kind of too doughy for me. Don't know how much more to describe it. Just threw me off. I also got the peach pie. I would warn people before eating it as it'll get all over the place at first bite so be careful lol. Other than that it was pretty decent. These are Andre's "chili cheese fries". If I had these on my menu, I would call them "bean and cheese fries." There is no chili component and the cheese was hardly a binder. Order these if you like bean juice soaked potato sticks. I'm a Kaiser Parkinson's patient and visit Andre's often. I've never had soggy or cold fries. The French Burger is still fresh and hot off the grill. Been here multiple times great old school burger joint food. *Problem* NO ONE USES GLOVES!!!!! How do they pass healthy department with touching buns, meat patties and chicken all in the same orders??? Yet then again they've been opened for years and no ones died yet....I've been here multiple times, seen people not wearing any type of gloves and yet I'm still kicking. So maybe it's not a health department requirement and it's all in my head. If health department needs pics of this hit me up either way foods bomb! Blast from the past. Ordered the 'big' big burrito. Very friendly staff even though it was a bit of a wait but there were a couple of vehicles at the drive thru. It is wrap in foil and placed in a bag. There are tables and seats outside under the shade but had it to go. On first bite, it taste the same as I remembered it which is a good thing. What I didn't expect was the size. Thought it used to be bigger than it actually was. Maybe cause I'm bigger now it doesn't seem as big but it's named 'big' big for a reason. To be fair, the price is still like 3.25 so in order to keep the same price during inflation, they made the burrito smaller. Then again, it was while ago so I'm not really sure. We stopped by Andres today. We ordered 4 burgers, 2 shakes and a chili cheese hotdog bowl. The staff was nice the wait was long. They also got our order wrong but that wasn't a huge deal. The shakes were awesome! I can see us stopping by again just for a shake. The burgers need a lot of help. The buns are small and they add a lot of sauces to the bun so by the time you get your burger it is very soggy. The chili cheese dog bowl was also a fail. We were coming home from my daughters house from Hart Flat on highway 58 and we were hungry. So we got off at Union and decided to go to this old established restaurant because of its well known good food. We ordered the French burger combo, the pastrami comb and a cherry and peach fried pies. First off the fries didn't make it home because we were starving and they are the best fries I've had in a long time. The French burger was good except the bun is just a little hard for my taste. The pastrami was good not too chewy and the peppers were hot!! Yes loved them. And as I said those fries barely made it home. The cherry fried pie was my husbands and the peach was mine. The crust to filling ratio was just right and the crust is then glazed which is a plus I could of ate a dozen!! Of all the burgers I ever had, nothing is quite like the infamous french burger at Andres drive inn. This double patty is not stack on top of each other but place from one end to another like a sub burger loaded with goodies. Folks, this is a messy burger that would put Carl's Jr to shame so make sure you have plenty of napkins. How it was made and that familiar taste has stand the test of time like no other burger I ever had. It's not healthy cause it's old fashion of how burgers were made back then as I've been told. As far as their fries I never really cared for nor any other item which include their popular "big" big burrito which is an oversized bean filled chimichanga more on the crunchy side. The milkshakes were okay but did not stand out like Fosters freeze, not to be confused with Frosty King. Anyways, I would make it a point to stop here if I ever pass thru on 99 since it's not that far off the highway. If driving on I-5, skip it cause it's too far outta the way and not that great. I absolutely love this spot! The workers here are very kind and seem to be hard working. The food tastes pretty good, which would explain how this place has been running for this long.
