Typical fast food drive in burger joint. All the classics like chili cheese fries, burgers, hotdogs, and tons of ice cream opinions. Best part is probably the prices. There are some great deals! Chili was too sweet for us, and that was really the only complaint. Otherwise, we enjoyed all the food. Had chili cheese fries, wings, bacon hamburger and corn dog between us. Blizzard and cone was great, although on this night the ice cream temp was too warm and it was melting on the 2 minute walk to the car. Wow my first time here and I'm hooked!!! I got zucchini sticks and a triple cheeseburger combo. It comes with a triple cheeseburger, medium fries and large soda for $9.99. It's 55 cents for each slice of cheese you want. I got 3 to try it out. The burger was awesome. It had a good char and the cheese was melted good too. I didn't really eat the fries and zucchini because the burger was enough. My wife had the avocado bacon burger combo which was $9.99 as well. It came with the avocado bacon burger, medium fries and a large drink. It was also 55 cents for cheese. The burger was great. There were generous portions of avocado on the burger. Placed an order for a combo #2 with extra large fries and 2 burritos with a Diet Coke and I only received a burger. When I called to speak to a supervisor because I doubt little old Maria (the dasher) would of eaten it, he was useless. Didn't seem to care or have a response to my complaint. Simply said get a refund on DD and order it again. Frosty King... what can I say... I grew up in Delano. We literally make a stop here almost every time we're in town, before heading home to Bakersfield. My husband is a huge fan of the crushed ice and the food here is not bad. Every now and then I have a craving for those crinkled fries that are seasoned w something that tastes like Laury's seasoning. They've had a huge upgrade from when I was younger til now. It used to look decent inside, and it was old and the chairs weren't too comfy; however, after the upgrades, the chairs are now decent and the place is a lot cleaner and nicer looking than what it had looked like before. The owners are nice; however they don't interact too much w the customers and are more behind the scenes here. The people they hire are usually nice, so customer service is usually good. I went to frosty king on high st in delano. Ordered a large curly fries and ended up getting a half filled bag, but glad thing I showed them before leaving and they corrected it by giving another bag. But unfortunately it doesn't stop there, I was eating my corn dog and noticed the hot dog texture was off, so I took off the breading of the corn dog and found what looks like a moldy hot dog. . Came today June 15th can anyone tell me if they change owners ? The food was not the same, service was good when we first walking in but tried to get condiments was standing there for like a good 5 minutes until my niece yell to one of the girls the same girl in the back who was talking away and straight looked at me standing there she was talking with the cook and other girl whom I heard there whole conversation that had nothing to do with work. I reside in Bakersfield however my roots are in the Earlimart/Delano area and there are several places in Delano that when I visit, I try to grab food or a drink from there. One of those places is Frosty King. As a child this building was originally a Foster Freeze and my sister worked there. But now, you can't find those very much. There are a few burger joints in Delano that are identical to what Frosty King offers but I find myself coming here. First of all they have 32oz drinks on sale almost all the time for .89 cents which is a bargain because most places charge near $1.50 area for them. The fries here are delicious and seasoned well. If you have the appetite order the Pastrami Fries or Chili Cheese fries, you will not be disappointed. My favorite burger here is the San Joaquin burger which is a burger with pastrami, yup I love pastrami. Anything here is delicious but of course you would need to like fried foods, if you're a healthy eater, not the place for you. read more

For a small town like Delano, this place was quite yummy. I ordered the pastrami sandwich which was perfectly executed. The crinkle fries were divine. I loved the deep fried burrito. I went in to this establishment a few days ago and i still can't believe the way they responded to me with such childish behavior. I went to this place after my work shift and ordered a simple order of fish sandwiches and nacho fries and once i got home and opened my food i felt terrible because they messed my entire order, the fish sandwiches was missing every thing and the nachos where hardly any fries and cheese so I called and filled a complain and they told me to go back and which i did i showed them the food and the receipt and the manager was giving me attitude while i was calmly trying to discuss the problem and to let you know the manager was the owners kid and the way i knew was we used to be friends but after that i could never be ever again and also while discussing the problem he threw away the food without asking if i still wanted it and was still giving me attitude and in the end he just told me to neve come back we aren't accepting any services from you ever again so i would never ever come back to establishment ever again after what horrible customer service they gave me.
