Fried food for day ice cream for weeks The amount of options here can be overwhelming or if your like me and appreciate a challenge you are in for a treat. The ice cream and other cold sweets treats are great. Hands down some of the best stuff you can get on our 100+ degree days. The food options are also good but can be hit or miss. Make sure you get a good ice cream so that way if your food does not hit the spot you at least have something for your taste buds to smile about read more

Wicked good salads! I cannot stress enough. NOT JUST A BURGER JOINT! Salads are primo . My girl adores their fried pickles Crisp, fresh veggies in salads and prompt too. The DT wait is typical because your food is fresh made for orders and if that idea bums you out, call ahead to place order for pick up. Solid menu, can't go wrong. Inside dining area is legit too- recently they updated the seating and lighting. Booths are gone and tables sturdy read more

Typical fast food drive in burger joint. All the classics like chili cheese fries, burgers, hotdogs, and tons of ice cream opinions. Best part is probably the prices. There are some great deals! Chili was too sweet for us, and that was really the only complaint. Otherwise, we enjoyed all the food. Had chili cheese fries, wings, bacon hamburger and corn dog between us. Blizzard and cone was great, although on this night the ice cream temp was too warm and it was melting on the 2 minute walk to the car. Overall, great value and food quality you would expect. read more

There was about a 15 minute wait, so not too bad on a Friday afternoon. Our food was fresh and tasted so good. We ordered a couple burgers and milkshakes. We were happy with everything. They have a wide menu so we will be back to try something else next time! read more

Frosty King - As of Jan 7, 2022 - New American Near Me - Delano, California

Wow my first time here and I'm hooked!!! I got zucchini sticks and a triple cheeseburger combo. It comes with a triple cheeseburger, medium fries and large soda for $9.99. It's 55 cents for each slice of cheese you want. I got 3 to try it out. The burger was awesome. It had a good char and the cheese was melted good too. I didn't really eat the fries and zucchini because the burger was enough. My wife had the avocado bacon burger combo which was $9.99 as well. It came with the avocado bacon burger, medium fries and a large drink. It was also 55 cents for cheese. The burger was great. There were generous portions of avocado on the burger. The portions of everything were more than enough. Also they have Coke Zero and make the cherry Coke with fresh syrup. I will definitely come back. read more

Presentation was great but they used artificial guacamole on the nachos and only cheese (no chili) on the taki fries. It wouldn't b a big deal but awful tasting fake guacamole on a dish that expensive is not cool. $20 for both dishes read more

Frosty King... what can I say... I grew up in Delano. We literally make a stop here almost every time we're in town, before heading home to Bakersfield. My husband is a huge fan of the crushed ice and the food here is not bad. Every now and then I have a craving for those crinkled fries that are seasoned w something that tastes like Laury's seasoning. They've had a huge upgrade from when I was younger til now. It used to look decent inside, and it was old and the chairs weren't too comfy; however, after the upgrades, the chairs are now decent and the place is a lot cleaner and nicer looking than what it had looked like before. The owners are nice; however they don't interact too much w the customers and are more behind the scenes here. The people they hire are usually nice, so customer service is usually good. Fried zucchini, fried mushrooms, fried shrimp.... Seriously though.... who can go wrong w frying everything... yummm read more

Nasty food..so many flies in the restaurant couldn't even eat comfortable needs to be inspected.

Placed an order for a combo #2 with extra large fries and 2 burritos with a Diet Coke and I only received a burger. When I called to speak to a supervisor because I doubt little old Maria (the dasher) would of eaten it, he was useless. Didn't seem to care or have a response to my complaint. Simply said get a refund on DD and order it again. So I asked how are you going to ensure that the order is 100% and all he said was I'll give you extra fries.. horrible service, and to think I'm going to order again and wait another 30 minutes for my lunch. read more

I went to frosty king on high st in delano. Ordered a large curly fries and ended up getting a half filled bag, but glad thing I showed them before leaving and they corrected it by giving another bag. But unfortunately it doesn't stop there, I was eating my corn dog and noticed the hot dog texture was off, so I took off the breading of the corn dog and found what looks like a moldy hot dog. . Yeah, I'm never going there again, and it's sad because I never had this bad of a service from them before. read more

Came today June 15th can anyone tell me if they change owners ? The food was not the same, service was good when we first walking in but tried to get condiments was standing there for like a good 5 minutes until my niece yell to one of the girls the same girl in the back who was talking away and straight looked at me standing there she was talking with the cook and other girl whom I heard there whole conversation that had nothing to do with work. This was the time that I went there where the food was not good meat was dry and there was a lots of flies in the inside the restaurant. read more

This place is colder than a walk-in freezer! Owners must be super stingy! Easy for them since they are warm in the grill area! It's late December and I wouldn't be surprised if it's warmer out there! Not first time temperature is uncomfortable in here. Look at pic of temp gauge as proof. read more

So we normally haven't had bad experiences here however today was a different story either the cook today was high or they are just plain ***** My order was messed up once had to come back to get remainder of the order and guess what they messed it up a second time and to top it off the girl at the drive thru window was beyond rude! The cook looked lost and the girl at window seemed furious as if we did somethung to her. Absolutely disappointed in today's customer service very unfortunate we will have to take our money elsewhere read more

I reside in Bakersfield however my roots are in the Earlimart/Delano area and there are several places in Delano that when I visit, I try to grab food or a drink from there. One of those places is Frosty King. As a child this building was originally a Foster Freeze and my sister worked there. But now, you can't find those very much. There are a few burger joints in Delano that are identical to what Frosty King offers but I find myself coming here. First of all they have 32oz drinks on sale almost all the time for .89 cents which is a bargain because most places charge near $1.50 area for them. The fries here are delicious and seasoned well. If you have the appetite order the Pastrami Fries or Chili Cheese fries, you will not be disappointed. My favorite burger here is the San Joaquin burger which is a burger with pastrami, yup I love pastrami. Anything here is delicious but of course you would need to like fried foods, if you're a healthy eater, not the place for you. read more

I've been picking up food and the food is good the problem is that when I call in an order they always forget something. They put all the food in one bag so i don't get to see till I'm home. It's just disappointing. read more

For a small town like Delano, this place was quite yummy. I ordered the pastrami sandwich which was perfectly executed. The crinkle fries were divine. I loved the deep fried burrito. I came here to just pick up a burrito and corn dog. Prices have changed drastically and I could have gotten the same thing at another burger joint. It also took them about forty minutes to finally give me my food. Let me add that there was only about two people in front of me and by the looks of it they didn't order much like me. read more

I went in to this establishment a few days ago and i still can't believe the way they responded to me with such childish behavior. I went to this place after my work shift and ordered a simple order of fish sandwiches and nacho fries and once i got home and opened my food i felt terrible because they messed my entire order, the fish sandwiches was missing every thing and the nachos where hardly any fries and cheese so I called and filled a complain and they told me to go back and which i did i showed them the food and the receipt and the manager was giving me attitude while i was calmly trying to discuss the problem and to let you know the manager was the owners kid and the way i knew was we used to be friends but after that i could never be ever again and also while discussing the problem he threw away the food without asking if i still wanted it and was still giving me attitude and in the end he just told me to neve come back we aren't accepting any services from you ever again so i would never ever come back to establishment ever again after what horrible customer service they gave me. I hope the people can have this consideration in mind, thank you. read more
