After spending about 5 million or more to advertise free wi fi, mcdonalds forgot one little thing: to advertise free wi fi means you should have more than one (1) power outlet in the entire place. I have met people at starbucks and elsewhere in Burbank who all know there is only one outlet in this mcdonalds and thus do not come here to wifi. Explains why the place is empty at night. EMPTY. The mall one mile to the West has a full del taco, subway and carl's all night long. GHOST TOWN. Don't come for breakfast, an obnoxious cabal of seniors freak out and harass you if you try to sit near the outlet. Today I am sitting plugged in, with one homeless man ranting for over 45 minutes 3 feet to my left, and the seniors talking over their KFWB portable radio blaring 3 feet to my right. I usually try to avoid McDonalds but I'll get a sausage biscuit or a mcflurry once or twice a year. The other day I decided that I needed to run into this mcDonalds really quickly on my lunch break for some ice. ( I had brought lunch but I needed some ice for my soda since there are no ice trays in the break room freezer) So I ran across the street and ordered a McFlurry and a cup of ice. They charged my card and then handed me my receipt and a little paper shot glass. I asked if I could have a bigger glass and they said that's all they could give me for free. I really needed the ice to enjoy my meal so I was pretty upset. I would have even paid for a cup just to fill it with ice if they had told me before hand but I was not about to make another purchase on my credit card and get screwed over for a cup of ice. So to summarize: Wendy's, Burger King, Jack in the Box, KFC, Taco Bell, In n Out, and Carls Jr. all have small 12-14 oz cups that have lids that you can get for FREE for ice or ice water. But McDonalds has little paper shot glasses that hold about 4 ice cubes and have NO LIDS! epilogue: Jason walks up to soda fountain with pathetic little paper shot glass and finds out that they are also out of Ice. Somebody else here stated the truth = "...reviewing a McDonald's is pretty useless..." But I too have to report a couple nasties. 1 = I got a Quarter Pounder that had about a quarter of a pound of salt. A chunk of salt must have fell on the burger somehow (or on purpose?) Since it is McDonald's I let it go and certainly didn't write a yelp review. 2 = As if I didn't learn my lesson the first time, I returned about a month later. I went inside to avoid the long drive through line. While waiting for my food, I noticed a couple dozen little fruit flies or some small tiny flying things. They were swarming the ketchup dispensers near the drink fountains. I was going to lean over and vomit in the trash hole but then noticed a ton of them in there. I left without my food or refund. I'm sad to say that their regional manager must really not care about this location as I've written about this issue here before - plus others here saying the same thing. I don't come to this location much anymore as I moved out of the neighborhood and have other McD's options nearby, should I need a McD's fix. Today, I'm driving home after bringing my son to the zoo to find a drive-thru line spilling out into the street, and crawling. Sometimes McDonald's locations would send an employee out to the drive-thru (In-N-Out Burger Drive-Thru style) to collect the orders quicker, allowing the prep line the opportunity to coordinate and move efficiently. I've never seen an employee standing outside taking orders at this location, except for maybe once years ago. If done right, that would help the speed of this location, 10 fold. Instead, they choose to not evolve and stay the course, inconveniencing city traffic and risking alienating their customers by slowly taking orders with their stationary intercom box - which should only be used during slower traffic times. McDonalds Management: This restaurant needs a remodel, from the drive thru layout, to the parking lot, to the tech. It also needs better staff training to speed up the order process, as I've found myself waiting at curbside pickup repeatedly for over 10 minutes. I always imagine a power struggle inside over who has to bring the food out, which is funny as I've repeatedly been advised by drive-thru staff to change my mobile order pickup from drive-thru to curbside. Regardless, something is amiss, and positive change wildly overdue. If this doesn't get fixed, it's clear that this restaurant's management doesn't care from store level all the way to corporate. It doesn't matter if I'm in the drive-thru line for breakfast, lunch or dinner...I literally am waiting behind 2 cars for at least 10 minutes. I really don't get it at all. Wow this is the slowest McDonalds I've ever been to! I stopped by before I headed back to Las Vegas. I waited well over 8 min in line. Only 1 car was ahead of me. I ordered a Happy Meal, because I wanted the Hello Kitty toy, and a small fry. I got my order and drove off. After I was well on my way to vegas, I discovered my order was wrong! Instead of a small fry, they gave me a bag of 4 apple pies! WTF! C'mon, your job is NOT that hard! How do you mess this up?!? It's fast food!! Came in today and boy did they not try their best making my meal. I ordered 2 McChicken's and 1 large fry. First the large fry was missing and it took them nearly 10mins just to give me one when the line at the drive thru wasn't that long nor was it on the inside of the restaurant. Second one of my McChicken's was literally missed a chicken patty and i had to drive back just so they could fix their mistake. I've never experienced a problem here. It's the only McDonald's in Burbank that gets my order right every time. I go by the drive thru for breakfast every once in a while, because I work down the street. The line is always very long, both inside and outside in the drive thru, but in the morning they're quick and efficient. I always order the same thing, which is a custom order, and they get it right every single time. Meal is always hot, sometimes too hot. If someone is holding up the line, they'll ask them to park on the side so that the line can keep moving. Never spent longer than 2 minutes driving through here for breakfast. They also know how to order my meal the "cheap" way, while other McDonald's I've been to try to charge me extra for not getting a meal. Ha! They're good... I'm giving this McD's 3 stars in the scale for McDonald's... not the scale of actual food! I've always had friendly, smiley service at this location and they've rarely botched an order, so I'll definitely find myself returning when the mood strikes. Though I prefer the drive-through, I do hate the way this location is designed as it blocks the cars that park. If you're going to park, park on the side where the drive-thru window is. We ordered 300 burgers from this location for a local high school fundraising event a week in advance and was told the order would be ready for pick up by 4:30pm. I arrived on time and waited an additional 45 minutes for my order. Didn't get out of McDonald's until 5:15pm, making me 15 minutes late to the fundraising event I was hosting. While I waited for my order I noticed several other customer walk-ins get their burgers before me. Wow, just wow. Went through the drive through with my son early morning 12/9/20. All the lights are on and we pull up to order but nobody answers. We pull forward to the first window to see an employee pretend he doesn't see us, turns his back and starts cleaning. We pull forward to the second window and see another employee pretend not to see us and start turning off the lights. OK - I completely understand these are trying times and businesses sometimes have to close unexpectedly. Not a problem. What I have a problem with is the total lack of common courtesy. I asked who the GM was and she didn't want to provide the name after.
