I first found out about Handy Market on social media for their weekend BBQ about a month ago. As I had been craving bbq for a couple weeks now, I found today to be the best opportunity to give them a try. I placed an order for pick up the night before. I got kind of carried away with the order, as I wanted to try almost everything on the menu. The prices were absolutely insane! I think I ended up paying about 65 dollars for food that would easily feed me for a good 3 or 4 days. When I arrived to pick up my order at my pick up time, I had noticed my order was being packed. I asked the employees if I can leave my order with them for a bit so that I can pick up some meat inside the market. They obliged, and I went to the meat counter to order my beef back ribs to cook for tomorrow. For 5 pounds, I ended up paying about $34, which was definitely a bargain. They were also selling breakfast burritos and sandwiches in the store, which I found to be awesome. I took everything home and opened my bag of spoils. After I took everything out, I statted thinking of what I wanted to eat first and what I wanted to save for later. It was so much food that I thought I could feed an entire army. Definitely will be back for the breakfast burritos and sandwiches, and for the meats again, for sure!

However, I am compelled to rate this establishment one star due to a particularly unpleasant experience with a female deli employee whose first name begins with the letter "J." Despite my frequent visits, the overall customer service in the deli and meats department has declined. The season butchers have been replaced with individuals lacking the necessary experience and customer courtesy that were previously present. Over the past three months, I have encountered the same issues with this particular employee. It is important to note that the fee charged for slicing a Tri Tip into a carton container is not the primary concern. The issue lies in the employee's behavior and attitude, specifically their unwillingness to properly wrap the sliced meat. This has occurred on multiple occasions, most recently at the checkout counter when the cashier pull the foil-wrapped package from the plastic bag causing the juices of the meat to spill all over the counter. This has happened to me every time this employee has served me. The Tri Tip sliced meat is dry and devoid of juices due to this careless employee's failure to wrap the meat carefully. It is imperative that this situation be addressed. Management should provide this employee, "J," with proper training on how to wrap sliced food correctly. Additionally, it is crucial the ambiance that all employees, including the deli and butcher employees, maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor. A salutation is always appreciated. Despite these concerns, the BBQ remains outstanding as always.

The sweet tea is so refreshing. I craved this for a long time because of the sweet tea and the sauce! I just wish another location opened around Glendale or Eagle Rock!

However, whenever I ordered my burger with Grilled Onion, they would often leave the onions off completely, and honestly, I had never received it with Grilled Onion before. But today, they finally added the Grilled Onion to my burger, and I was so happy about it! We enjoyed the burgers and French fries, and everything was absolutely delicious. I especially love ordering my burger cut in half, and they did that for me today as well. Cutting it in half makes it so much easier and more convenient to eat, so I really appreciate that.

Downhill. This McDonald's location used to be top-notch, but over time, their system has become unreliable, and the in-person customer service has deteriorated. I've encountered numerous system issues, like, "Come on, this fast-food chain is global and should be able to handle this system problem?" My family and I were also let down by our recent visits. They were slow in cleaning the tables, took over 35 minutes to serve us, and the quality of the food was really blah! The fries were soggy, the burgers were cold, the buns were stale, the hash browns tasted like they were fried in old fish grease, and the drinks were watered down. Very poor customer service. My order was already ready, but I had to ask the employees several times over about 5 minutes just to hand it to me. They kept ignoring me and acted like they didn't see me standing there. This happened around 8:55 PM. It was extremely frustrating to wait for an order that was already prepared and sitting there. I've always had McDonald's coffee and decided to give this place a go since it was close by to my workplace. The building has a pretty modern look and for the most part was clean. McDonald's food is fattening but it's so yummy sometimes. I rarely get their food anymore but their coffee has always been good. So give their coffee a try! read more

If you like dog hair in the air eat here. These crazy employees think the sign on the door indicating dogs are not allowed is just for decoration. I spoke to the "Manager" and she confirmed that they do allow dogs. I wonder if the health department knows about the policy at this McDonald's. read more

I identified my vehicle as a black Tesla SUV and turned my hazard lights on. I was literally sitting directly in front of the restaurant where employees walking out could clearly see me. I waited approximately 15 minutes and nobody brought my food out. When I called the restaurant, I was told they had supposedly come outside multiple times but "couldn't find" me. I genuinely do not understand how you can miss a black Tesla sitting directly in front of the restaurant with its hazard lights flashing. At that point, I asked for my food to be remade fresh because I had already been waiting and did not want food that had potentially been sitting around for 15+ minutes. Instead of simply resolving the issue, I was met with, "What do you want me to do?" That response was incredibly dismissive and frustrating. I ultimately requested a refund because at that point I no longer trusted that I would receive a fresh order. I was told the refund would take 3-5 business days. I followed the restaurant's instructions, made my vehicle clearly identifiable, and waited patiently. The entire situation was completely avoidable. If customers are instructed to turn their hazards on for curbside pickup, employees should actually be looking for those vehicles. I have never had such a frustrating pickup experience. This location needs to seriously improve its curbside pickup process and customer service. One star because unfortunately zero stars isn't an option.
