After driving by it so many times I caved and stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Let me get my negatives out the way first * the price is high, it is $6.25 for a bagel with cream cheese * they overcharged me a bagel and when I tried to ask them they said yes that's the price for a bagel with cream cheese. But they charged me $2.75 for a bagel plus $6.25 for another bagel with cream cheese when I only wanted the one with cream cheese. * the table inside aren't the cleanest, they had crumbs all over. Now were the bagels good?! Yes they were! I did appreciate the variety of spreads that they had. I only tired the blueberry cream cheese but it was delicious, it had blueberries in it and wasn't overly sweet! I old tried their bacon, 2 eggs and cheese and the big boss man! These were very filling but I do wish they came with some spread! Stopped by for a bagel with lox. The menu screens weren't working so we had to ask the staff the options. I just wanted a bagel with light cream cheese and sliced lox but they suggested that would be too expensive and offered getting the lox cream cheese with scallion. They were pretty busy on a 10a Sunday morning! We heard they had an 1.5hr wait earlier due to selling out all their bagels! No flavor and Def not worth waiting 40 mins for. Tables were not clean. Staff was very stand offish and not helpful. We were warned that it would take 30 minutes for our hot food to be ready but not sure why the bagels took so long. When we got the bagels it seemed like they made them straight away and had them sit there for 40 minutes till the hot food was ready. Which made the begals toasty soft and just crap. Not happy. Maybe twice a month at work food is brought in from here, and each time someone is complaining about something wrong. I'd always avoided it (not being a bagel fan), but peer pressure set in, so last week I had a sesame bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Maybe this place and meal will change my mind? The artificial brightness of the cream cheese was a surprise, but I could scrape the majority of that off; that wasn't the problem. The problem was each bite: you chew, swallow, begin to digest...and then realize there is so much starch & dough still on your teeth, you can actually work off another bite with what's still in your mouth. Really, really liked the place. I took off two stars because you can never order online. Six times I've attempted to make an online order and only once was online ordering open. It obviously is set to some default time, even though the app tells you you are ordering within the proper online ordering hours, it says it's closed because of a lunch rush. I drove by and it did not look like any lunch rush. But I can't stop go in and wait, I need to grab and go and the online ordering, the one time I did it successfully was fantastic. Manager, if you have access to any kind of stats in your app, that show you Carr abandonment, or how many failed attempts to order online there are, it might be useful. The bagel was perfectly hard on the outside and soft on the inside. The cream cheese selection was off the chart! I don't think I have ever seen that many unique types of cream cheese before! I went with a standard everything bagel with garlic herb cream cheese. You could actually see the garlic chunks in the cream cheese -- so I know they didn't use powdered garlic -- which was very much appreciated by my garlic loving soul! It was very garlicky though, I am not going to lie!! Service was great -- it looked like she was getting ready to close but didn't act annoyed with our last minute bagel craving! We randomly came across this place while visiting The Mystic Museum. I love a good bagel, lived in Jersey for 5 years so whenever I can find something similar I'm all about it. My husband in NJ native and we both loved the bagels here! I had the salt bagel and it was amazing. Wow! My new go to place for food! The service here is impeccable. Sin is the sweetest. They were not stingy on giving out samples which was really helpful bc I'm the most indecisive person. I was excited for Bagel Boss to open. I've been a few times and the service needs a reboot. Some days there is a lot of staff but they're not working in sync. They look bewildered mostly. They need to be a well oiled machine. Especially on busy weekends. One of my orders that was breakfast sandwiches was messed up. The wrong meat was on the wrong bagel. One was lacking cheese that was supposed to be on it. I think the order was lost. An employee asked me what I was waiting on and I showed her my receipt. She went back to check on it and it appeared it had not been started. She offered a baked good for the inconvenience. I declined. And after all of that, my order still wasn't correct. I went back another time and simply ordered bagels, toasted with cream cheese. Straightforward order. My most recent trip back, was another delayed order. An employee asked me what my order was and then went to the kitchen to check. The employee came back and said it would be a bit longer because there was only one person working in the kitchen. The employee offered a baked good. Declined one again. Received order and it was correct. However, a customer came in while I was waiting and his takeout order was incorrect and he brought it back. Two employees rifled through the bag and opened sandwiches up to inspect and told him they would get him another order. They offered him to keep the incorrect order and he declined. Came across this place while I was heading to Porto's. Did a U-turn and so glad I did. You literally can smell the bagels from the outside. Sin and Joey were so nice and helpful. Also, they offer samples on their items :) so don't be afraid to ask. This place is awesome. They have inside and outside seating, so plenty of space to enjoy your bagels. I love that they pack on the cream cheese, which btw they have a great selection of. Even their plain bagel with butter was delicious..something about their butter! All these good reviews so I decided to try this place. I illegally parked my vehicle since I didn't want to drive around Magnolia. Bagel was not good at all. I'm used to real thick and dense New York Bagels from Russ & Daughters in NYC and this was not it. I was surely disappointed. Potato salad was rather watery and I didn't like that fact that they don't peel potatoes. Service was ok but asking people for tips for just putting together bread and toppings felt really tacky. That is not my problem that these people work there regardless of their age. That's called choices. I will not be coming back for sure. If you have ever lived in NYC, this place is not for you.
