Unlike the bigger chain bagel shops, they don't have 20 different varieties of bagels, but they have all the traditional/more common ones, such as sesame, egg, and everything bagels. The coffee is as good as to be expected from a deli. The inside vibe is very industrial, but do check out their outside seating area as it is fun, open and clean. Let me get this straight. On your website, when ordering coffee, it asks what dairy options and sweeteners you want etc. assuming it would be prepared for you when ready for pick up? However, when you get there the employee looks at you like you're the idiot because she assumes I should know to make my own damn iced latte? What is the point of ordering online with what you want, but have to make it yourself??? I paid $5.18 to make my own iced coffee. I much rather go to 7-11 and make my own coffee for the fraction of the cost! This place was slammed when I arrived with only 3 people working. Get it together, guys! read more

Horrible experience at Bagel Boss today. We stood at the register for over five minutes without so much as a greeting or acknowledgment. During that time, the employees were openly complaining about how many mobile orders were coming in and saying they should shut the mobile ordering system down. After waiting more than five minutes, I finally asked if we could place an order or why no one had acknowledged us. The response was simply that they were "too busy." If you're too busy to greet customers or let them know there's a wait, that's a customer service problem. A simple "We'll be with you in a few minutes" would have gone a long way. Instead, we left and took our business elsewhere. Based on today's experience, it was clear they didn't value our business. read more

I finally got to try Bagel Boss after always missing out on opening hours. The bagels had a nice chew with a good variety offered. Besides the bagel sandwiches, I got loose bagels which were everything egg, french toast and poppy. Something I want to try next time is the bialy. There was plenty of seating inside including a smaller interior patio area. Everything was clean and oriented in a good space flow. I liked that they put the coffee and utensils station as a little "divider" between the seating and counter line. There was also a little pegboard with some medals for Bagelfest hanging. After driving by it so many times I caved and stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Let me get my negatives out the way first * the price is high, it is $6.25 for a bagel with cream cheese * they overcharged me a bagel and when I tried to ask them they said yes that's the price for a bagel with cream cheese. But they charged me $2.75 for a bagel plus $6.25 for another bagel with cream cheese when I only wanted the one with cream cheese. * the table inside aren't the cleanest, they had crumbs all over. Now were the bagels good?! Yes they were! I did appreciate the variety of spreads that they had. I only tired the blueberry cream cheese but it was delicious, it had blueberries in it and wasn't overly sweet! I old tried their bacon, 2 eggs and cheese and the big boss man! These were very filling but I do wish they came with some spread! Next time I'll just pickup bagels and make my own sandwiches at home as I can't justify $46 for 2 bagel sandwiches, one bagel with cream cheese and an unwanted extra bagel! read more

Stopped by for a bagel with lox. The menu screens weren't working so we had to ask the staff the options. I just wanted a bagel with light cream cheese and sliced lox but they suggested that would be too expensive and offered getting the lox cream cheese with scallion. They were pretty busy on a 10a Sunday morning! We heard they had an 1.5hr wait earlier due to selling out all their bagels! Only complaint was their specialty seemed to be either bagels with schmear or breakfast bagels with egg; I guess lox bagels aren't popular at this location! Plenty of outdoor seating. read more

This place was always my go to favorite local bagel shop, especially pairing my bagel with a side salad (Potato Salad). You have to pair your bagel with a side, potato salad was my favorite, unfortunately when I came today, they discontinued all their side salads ... yikes. Shame, I will now have to go back to my original bagel place down the street. Please bring back the potato salads, I will also return. Great spot! Fun owner, great space for people to gather, lovely bagels and smear. From my understanding, this is a New Jersey brand and the owner opened a franchise spot in LA. And the bagels come fresh from there. There is the indoor space with some tables, window seating. Outdoor seating just in front of the place (two tables). I was finally able to try this place after having driven by it almost daily. I placed an order via the app and it was a very fast process. My order was ready before my pickup time, which was nice because I was early. I got the Pastrami Boss with regular schmear, American cheese, and scrambled egg on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and it was absolutely delicious. I was left so full and satisfied. My daughter got the New York Boss and felt her everything bagel was burnt, she unfortunately didn't enjoy that part of her sandwich, but I probably should have gotten hers lightly toasted. My husband got the Long Island Boss and they unfortunately didn't have any ripe avocados, which was a bummer, but they actually called me to let me know of the issue and asked if he wanted anything else on it. I appreciated that they did that. He absolutely loved his everything bagel with schmear, egg and cheese and the home fries. Parking appears to be street parking only, but I easily found a spot in front. There are also spots to eat inside and outside. Upon arrival the employees were very nice. Not only are they the BEST bagels in California but the customer service is equally amazing! My son went to pick up bagels for Father's Day and when he got there the guy said they were out of one thing we ordered but offered an optional item. Very average bagel. Came here and had to wait 40 minutes to get our food. We ordered 3 bagels, 1 breakfast burrito and a latte. Burrito was the chorizo and egg which was pretty bad. No flavor and Def not worth waiting 40 mins for. Tables were not clean. Staff was very stand offish and not helpful. We were warned that it would take 30 minutes for our hot food to be ready but not sure why the bagels took so long. When we got the bagels it seemed like they made them straight away and had them sit there for 40 minutes till the hot food was ready. Which made the begals toasty soft and just crap. Not happy. Really, really liked the place. I took off two stars because you can never order online. Six times I've attempted to make an online order and only once was online ordering open. It obviously is set to some default time, even though the app tells you you are ordering within the proper online ordering hours, it says it's closed because of a lunch rush. I drove by and it did not look like any lunch rush. But I can't stop go in and wait, I need to grab and go and the online ordering, the one time I did it successfully was fantastic. Manager, if you have access to any kind of stats in your app, that show you Carr abandonment, or how many failed attempts to order online there are, it might be useful. We randomly came across this place while visiting The Mystic Museum. I love a good bagel, lived in Jersey for 5 years so whenever I can find something similar I'm all about it. My husband in NJ native and we both loved the bagels here! I had the salt bagel and it was amazing. Perfect amount of cream cheese, husband had the everything with jalapeño cream cheese, also awesome. I went with a standard everything bagel with garlic herb cream cheese. You could actually see the garlic chunks in the cream cheese -- so I know they didn't use powdered garlic -- which was very much appreciated by my garlic loving soul! It was very garlicky though, I am not going to lie!! Service was great -- it looked like she was getting ready to close but didn't act annoyed with our last minute bagel craving! Maybe twice a month at work food is brought in from here, and each time someone is complaining about something wrong. I'd always avoided it (not being a bagel fan), but peer pressure set in, so last week I had a sesame bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Maybe this place and meal will change my mind? The problem was each bite: you chew, swallow, begin to digest...and then realize there is so much starch & dough still on your teeth, you can actually work off another bite with what's still in your mouth. My fiancé Gaitok and I stopped at Bagel Boss in Burbank on our way to WeHo Pride, only to have our morning soured before we even walked inside. We parked in the back, as we have before. Although the car parked next to us had its window down, with a woman sitting in the passenger seat, she said nothing until we were walking toward the back entrance, when she suddenly yelled, "Parking is for employees only!" When I immediately turned around, walked back to the car, apologized, and asked where it was posted, she curtly said there was a "tenants only" sign near the entrance (which could not be seen from the parking space at all). I suggested that clearer signs near the actual parking spaces would prevent the confusion. Apparently, that was too much feedback, because she responded with more attitude than professionalism. When I asked if she worked there, she pointed, with the attitude of a middle school theatre kid, to her Bagel Boss shirt. When I asked for her name, she snapped, "Why would you need to know that?" We then moved our car and went in to speak to a manager. It turned out to be the owner, who seemed only mildly interested that an employee had just driven away paying customers. His response was a flat "I'll talk with her." He had more excitement and energy posting on social media about the Knicks than he showed us any care or concern in the moment. We were told, "Yes, you can absolutely park in the back." We later realized the employee was Anna, who had been lovely when we interacted with her before. Maybe she was having a bad morning. Maybe someone criticized one of her watercolor paintings. Who knows. What I do know is that customers should not be yelled at, dismissed, or treated like a nuisance for making an honest parking mistake. We have loved Bagel Boss, and we are not pretending we will never return. But if Anna is working or that white Discovery is parked anywhere near the restaurant, we will happily take our business to Hank's or Western Bagel instead. Do better, Bagel Boss. read more

Wow! My new go to place for food! The service here is impeccable. Sin is the sweetest. They were not stingy on giving out samples which was really helpful bc I'm the most indecisive person. They didn't rush me either. The AC is nice and cool which is perfect for the Valley heat. I got a spicy tuna Shmear on cheddar jalapeños bagel. Sin sold me on the Guava Shmear so I had to get that to go! With 2 extra bagels of course. I was not planning on getting that much but I couldn't resist! Will definitely be coming back. read more

Cute bagel spot on Magnolia. They have the rainbow bagel which my kids love. Ask for the smear on the side as they legit put an inch+ of cream cheese on the bagel! Try the garlic and herb or the lox with scallion. I brought the lox and scallion bagel home and added capers. Not sure if they have them there.
