ROSEMARY SEA SALT with Cream Cheese, English cucumbers & tomatoes - sooooo good!
    Te-see B.

Gotta tell ya, Hank knows his bagels...and coming from this former New York bagel snob, that says it a lot! Made with sour dough, you can order your usual bagel with a schmear or something much more elaborate like a rosemary bagel with sliced English cucumbers and tomatoes...Yum Me! They also serve coffee and other drinks...If you are down for it order a dozen to take home... Meter parking or side street parking...Watch the signs to avoid a ticket... Just sayin...Te-see xo

Delicious bagels with a great selection of bagel sandwiches! Whether you're stopping by to pick up an order, or dining at their small outdoor patio, you're guaranteed to leave with something you like. Ordered sandwich #4 with a toasted rosemary bagel and was blown away by how tasty it was. Veggies were fresh, sauce/dressing was flavorful, just overall a wonderful blend of sweet, savory, and sour. The rosemary bagel gave a hint of herbal taste, too, which I really enjoyed. The only thing I didn't like were the slices of radish, which were too bitter and didn't fit into the flavor profile of the sandwich for me. I ended up picking most of them out. Highly recommend this spot! Definitely coming back again.

Solid bacon, egg and cheese if you're ever craving and in the area! The only thing I would say is the bagel is kinda tough to eat I would probably get it not toasted next time. Would get again when I crave!

I'm a forever Hank's fan. I think we come here at least once a month! Most recently I was finally feeling like trying something new so I got the veggie breakfast sandwich but added a fried egg. PERFECTION! I also tried the onion bagel (I'm usually an everything girl) and it was delicious. Not too over the top onion-y, but had great flavor and the texture was perfect. A little chewy but soft. They don't really toast their bagels too much here, so even though I asked for it toasted it didn't have much crunch. You can't go wrong with one of their bagel sandwiches, but their regular ol' bagel and cream cheese always hits the spot. The staff here is always so kind! It really feels like a wholesome community spot. I couldn't recommend Hank's more!

My kid likes bagels and this place has been on my radar for their vegan options. The shop is simple clean and well organized. I'm not a huge bagel fan nor sandwich fan but YOLO and treat the kid to something special for back to school days! The service was great and I got the number 4 which is the vegan option. *bagels without cheese are vegan so I went with the everything bagel. The Number 4 is dressed! It was messy tasty and loaded with sprouts tomato pickles and salted cucumber with vegan aioli it was tasty! The mini-me order was a plain bagel customized with tomato, fresh onions, and lox with butter on the side. Her feedback bagel was too chewy, too little lox 8$ for 2oz of farmed Atlantic lox is price-gouging were it wild caught I would ok it.... It ended up mostly tomato the onions were super thinly sliced and sparse she couldn't taste them. She gave it an ok One thing with my bagel yes it was chewy although toasted BUT with all the messy sauce and juicy veggies my bagel was not a soggy mushy mess at all! So there may be a method to the chewiness that's all I'm going to say about it. LOL

Second time here and still amazing! Great service, friendly staff, and awesome bagel selection. We've tried four kinds and each one hits different. They also have outdoor seating if you want to enjoy your bagel there. Highly recommend!

The service here was great. The speed at which our food came out, was awesome. The place is clean, and the food listed on the menu was promising! However, the delivery of our bagels, was, unfortunately, underwhelming, especially for the price. Our Lox Bagel (no.3) was 90% veggies, and I see now that this was a common review among other patrons who ordered the same thing. It was as if they chose every veggie they had in the fridge in threw it on there, without it making sense taste-wise. My boyfriend and I both ordered the same thing, and they were both made the exact same way: it was a fat bagel full of greens and a hidden sliver of salmon, that should not have cost us nearly $40. Parking: street, metered or residential Outside seating only

The gourmet bagel fad is in overdrive in Los Angeles, but Hank's is really racing in a tournament of its own. A simply put-together store that's about baking and fixing sandwiches more than anything else, it still manages to be welcoming thanks to a cheery staff and the warm smell of freshly baked bagels. The industrial decor is functional for them, it also signals to the customers that they should keep up the pace. Of course you can buy assorted bagels by the dozen, along with various fixings to take with you -- but they've also got a full menu of sandwiches they'll make for you to either grab & go or eat at one of about 8 tables on the front sidewalk. The bagels are the closest thing I've seen to a true NY bagel in the City of Angels, with a crispy exterior and a tasty, fluffy interior. Not dense. Not gluey. Just right. I ordered an Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and some Nova. I prefer to enjoy the flavor of the fish, so I always forego the capers and veggies, etc. I sat outside and enjoyed my breakfast before things go too hot, and walked away very happy. Be warned: there are long lines at peak hours, but I live close and tend to head in after the rush. Go. Enjoy. You'll probably never buy from Western Bagel again. It's Hank's from now on.

I had never been here before and decided to check it out with a friend. I love that you can basically customize all of the bagels. I ordered a No. 2 and swapped the cheese it came with for scallion cream cheese. They have many different kinds of cream cheese which I def appreciate. As for the bagel itselt, it tasted good but felt somewhat stale. I'm not saying it was rock hard, but it also wasn't soft. Not for me. Hank's Bagels is good, but also nothing to write home about. Parking is street parking. Found pretty easily considering it was a weekend morning. People come and go quickly. Most people seem to do pick ups here. There's no seating inside and there is limited seating outside which unfortunately has the sun beaming right at you on most tables.

There is a parking lot in the rear, but street meter is usually the best option. Staff was super friendly and eager to greet. The bagels were fresh and decided to go with the number one with an everything bagel. The team got sandwich out and about 10 minutes. The bagel sandwich was tasty, but given this economy, a bit pricey and understandably so. No seating inside, but the courtyard is shared with Starbucks and there's plenty of seats. Was pretty busy for a midmorning Monday. Good bagels, saw that everything jalapeño cheese last minute and regretted not going with that.

By far, best bagels in L.A. crunchy exterior with that sound inner chew, spectacular! Here's a photo once I got home on the chopping block, you can't go wrong!

This place is my absolute favorite, everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. I love that as soon as you enter you can smell the bagels. The bagels are delicious, crisp and fresh. You can get anything from your basic bagel and cream cheese to a fancy bagel with aioli and bacon. This location is pretty small and the tables to dine is are outside and limited. But overall don't let that stop you, its simply so delicious.

We grabbed two breakfast sandwiches, one with bacon and one without, and both were standout in their own way. The first thing you notice? These sandwiches come out piping hot, wrapped tight and ready to go. Crack them open and you're hit with perfectly cooked eggs and an almost ridiculous amount of gooey, melted cheese. Not skimpy, not balanced, loaded in the best possible way. The Kaiser roll deserves its own shoutout: lightly toasted with just enough crunch on the outside while staying soft and pillowy inside. It holds everything together without getting soggy, even with all that cheese. * The meat version had crispy, flavorful bacon layered just right, salty, smoky, and not overdone. * The meatless one didn't feel like a compromise at all, still rich, filling, and honestly just as indulgent thanks to the cheese and eggs. No frills, no gimmicks, just classic deli breakfast sandwiches executed really well. Bottom line: If you want a hot, cheesy, perfectly toasted breakfast sandwich that actually hits the spot, Paulie's is a win. I can't wait to go back for lunch!

My dining companion had the Penne Alla Vodka which she really liked. I didn't get to try any, but if a pasta dish is the winner from a deli, well, enough said. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience:( The customer service was cold and unwelcoming from the start. No greeting at all when we walked in, it felt like we were inconveniencing the staff just by ordering. For a specialty shop with premium pricing, the experience should be welcoming or some what friendly from staff?? After all the customers are what keep business open... Speaking of pricing: I fully understand imported snacks come at a markup. But $10 (before tax) for a single soda is excessive. I ordered a BLT, two sodas, chips, and candy, and the total was shockingly high for what we received. There's a difference between niche pricing and feeling taken advantage of. What really sealed it for me, though, was the lack of professionalism. We chose to eat outside, and shortly after, the employee who made our sandwiches came outside and began smoking weed near the seating area. The smell was extremely strong and made me nauseous to the point where I couldn't even enjoy my food. Regardless of personal choices, that's simply not appropriate around customers who are actively eating. As far as the sandwich goes, and why I still have 3 stars- the BLT was exceptional and probably the best I've ever had. I would pay for it again but won't be back due to all other aspects. So take that as you will! A cool concept can only carry a place so far. Between the service, the pricing, and the overall atmosphere, this wasn't an experience I'd repeat.
