I have heard good things about this Bakery/Cafe, but never had the honer to try them out. Living literally 5 minutes away from this gem, today was my 1st time trying this Cafe and was very pleased with everything!:-) Walked in and I had to look around for a minute to enjoy the cuteness of this Bakery/Cafe. Took me another minute to decide what I was in the mood for. They have an extensive menu options to choose from. From all types of goods: starting from breakfast, brunch, lunch.Fresh pastries, cakes, baked bread, coffee, tea, bottles and cans of drinks including water. Place was so pretty and quaint... with sofas, few colorful pillows, books for kids/adults and beautiful art work on the walls. Truly a delight. Lovely.:-) Chill Ambiance, and VERY CLEAN!!! Grigor the (owner) took my order and was very patient, nice, kind, professional and helpful. It took me a minute to know what I wanted to eat, because I was more in the mood for breakfast than lunch. So, I got their breakfast sandwich that came with egg, bacon, Swiss cheese on a baguette. I also got their butter croissant, and blueberry muffin. Let's not forget the cool, delicious decaf vanilla ice latte. Was soooo refreshing on a hot summer day. Everything was SO FRESH & DELICIOUS!! Grigor was nice enough not to charge me for my blueberry muffin. That was very nice of him.:-) Thank you. They have a cute patio with few chairs/tables and 2 or 3 parking spaces right in front of the Cafe. Also, street parking is available. Overall, a very nice place to eat for the 1st time, but NOT the last!:-) Great, helpful staff and that's all that comes in to my mind. I think I covered everything. Oh, they do have a bathroom, but for once I didn't have to use it:-) I am sure it was clean. Will post pictures when I get a chance!:-))

Met with a friend at Belle Bakery and had a nice time. The girl who took our order was really sweet and helpful. I didn't realize until 2 plates came out, but we were charged for two tuna sandwiches when we only ordered 1 to share. We only ate one and took the second one to go. We enjoyed the food, but nothing about it really stood out. We also got an oatmeal cookie, croissant, and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was delicious!! Coffee was easily 5/5! Overall, nice place but the food menu is a bit pricey for what you get.

A hidden gem on Ventura Blvd, a few doors down from the Six Restaurant. Under new management - this is a small boutique cafe with amazing drinks and the most delicious pastries - not to mention lunchtime sandwiches. Price are so reasonable, staff is so delightful and always happy! Great seating inside and a few seats outside - which are so fun to sit at outside on a beautiful day. Obsessed with the croissants - and their chocolate chip muffin!

Fresh baked croissants in house. Deliciousness and the best priced too. Will be back. Friendly and affordable. Tbh WAY better than Shatzis (sorry lol) I was looking for home made in house fresh French croissants. This is your place. If you want BIG croissants. GO HERE

We dropped in on a Sunday to grab some sandwiches to go. Only two people in front of us, one an uber eats p/u and someone ordering food/coffee. There were two people behind the counter and maybe someone in the back. It just seemed a bit disorganized and took a bit for anyone to take our order. We did finally order and I think the person in the back made our sandwiches. It took about 20 minutes from when we arrived. But I will say our sandwiches were very delicious and large! I had the classic (with turkey and cheddar) on a croissant. My husband had a hot pastrami and pepper jack on a roll. So I'll say they redeemed themselves by the wait in how yummy those sandwiches ended up being. It's a decent little spot, seemed pretty quiet on a Sunday, maybe a good choice to go in the busy hustle of LA.

I've been coming here for more than 30 years but just walked out from my very last time. Everything is now so overpriced. I spent $27 (before tip) on a small oily croissant breakfast sandwich (thank goodness I asked for the aïoli on the side!!) and a cup of coffee and they wanted to charge me extra for a coffee refill. I understand price of ingredients is going up for the small business owners, but sometimes the prices are too inflated for what you're actually serving. Bye-bye Belle Bakery, thanks for all those past years of yumminess.

A good croissant is always a solid indicator of a great bakery, and Belle's did not disappoint. A long-established shop in the heart of Studio City, Belle's serves loyal customers who've been coming for years, as well as newcomers like myself who have just discovered this charming bakery café. I ordered their breakfast bacon and cheese croissant, which was perfectly crispy, buttery, and savory. They offer a variety of croissant fillings, including almond, sausage, ham & cheese, chocolate, tuna, and more. With a selection of omelets, breads, and pastries, this bakery café is the perfect spot for a quick, quality breakfast or lunch. The friendly staff, clean décor, and delicious baked goods make it a place I will definitely return to!

We were en route to my brother-in-law's home from the Hollywood Burbank Airport when we stopped for a quick breakfast snack at Studio City's Belle Bakery Café. My brother-in-law mentioned this family-run bakery had recently changed hands. He said he couldn't compare the flavors with the previous owners' products as he had never tried them before, but since eating here, he exclaimed that their croissants were worthy warriors in LA's croissant wars. With that claim, we wouldn't pass by without trying a croissant and freshly brewed coffee beverages. As soon as we entered the boulangerie, the counter girl/cashier heartedly greeted us, and our eyes focused on their display case. The display case was filled with sweet and savory croissants and bread loaves. Also, the air was filled with the enticing aroma of baking bread. After gazing at the menu board, we got different baked products to pair with cups of black coffee. I chose my favorite almond croissant or croissant aux amandes that was humongous, generously topped with sliced almonds, well-laminated buttery dough layers, with marzipan filling. This breakfast treat had a wonderful airy, flaky, or layered texture without being overly sweet, with a crisp exterior that shattered with each bite. The dark, rich coffee brew balanced the slight sweetness of the marzipan. Meanwhile, my husband chose the chocolate croissant or pain au chocolat. The flaky rectangular croissant was still warm, and the dark chocolate bar filling appeared soft and melty. My relatives chose a savory ham, cheese, jalapeño croissant, and sticky pecan bun. From what I could gather, the ham, cheese, and jalapeño croissant was filled well and showed its signature croissant structure. Lastly, the sticky pecan bun looked gooey, decadent with caramel and tons of pecan halves. We'll spend two weeks in LA and hope to return to try more of Belle Bakery's croissants, sandwiches, or brunch menu.

So many coffee shops and cafes and bakeries on Ventura Blvd. While driving home from a work meeting I spotted this cafe and stopped by to check it out. Great customer service from the moment I walked in. They have sandwiches, salads, Omelets, croissant, pastries, cupcakes, scones and variety of coffee drinks. I got an iced coffee which tastes ok and a scone that was too dry for my taste. The muffins looked good so next time I'll try that if I find myself here again. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking in front. Overall a nice place to have breakfast or lunch.

In addition to their expertly-crafted pastries, Sweet Lily offers a great variety of French dishes and packaged food items. My group ordered the Sugar Beignet, Raspberry Croissant, and Coffee Croissant - which were all wonderful. The Raspberry Croissant had a not-too-sour fresh jelly filling and was definitely the crowd favorite, but the thick, latte-flavored filling in the Coffee Croissant made it a close second place. The fresh-squeezed orange juice at $5 felt like an absolute bargain, and the Cappuccino was also well-executed. The real stars of the show were the entrees, though. Both the Avocado Toast plate and Croque Monsieur truly tasted like a trip to France. They were hearty and full of flavor, without feeling too heavy. The Sweet Lily twist on Avocado Toast includes melted mozzarella and slices grapes, which really elevated the dish! The potatoes and salads that came as complimentary sides were a welcome surprise, and just as craveable as the entrees themselves. I truly don't think there's a bad thing to order here, and I look forward to returning to this bright and welcoming spot to try more!

Been wanting to try this place for a while and my son said he did as well, so we made a lunch date…read moreout of it today. It's kind of off the beaten path, where Ventura becomes Cahuenga. Near Barham and on the way to Hollywood. They have a few metered parking spots out front, but I went in and asked if they had their own parking and Mehdi told me they had a couple of spots in the alley behind the building, so that's where we parked. It's a cute place, not too fancy. They refer to it as a Boutique Pastry Shop. There are some snacks/knick knacks available for purchase, along with a refrigerator of drinks towards the back. The left side of the space is the coffee bar and the right side has the pastry cases and food menus. This is where we placed our order with Mehdi, who was pleasant, nice and knowledgeable about the menu and all the pastry items. I was talking to another employee, Gabriel, and asking him questions about the omelettes. He talked me through a few different options and he was also pleasant and kind. I decided on the Veggie Omelette (add mozzarella +$2, and side baguette +$1) with a Decaf Latte (+$0.75 for Oat Milk). My son ordered the Chicken Caprese Panini, which came with Pesto and Mozzarella Cheese. ($17). We also wanted to sample some pastries and we got 1 Nutella Beignet ($5.50), 1 Caribbean & 1 Red Carpet ($8 each), 1 Pear/Almond Tart and 1 Raspberry Tart ($6.50 each). Our total for everything including tip was $91.59, and I'm still kind of in shock over it! This place was SO EXPENSIVE!! Mehdi plated our pastries for us and Gabriel immediately got to work on the omelette and panini. We sat down at one of their many tables and got situated while we waited for the food. It was pretty empty as we were there around 3pm, an hour before they closed. There were two other tables being occupied while we were there. They had nice pop music playing, ranging from 90s-00s songs and artists. There were some nice twinkly lights above us along with the regular lighting of the restaurant. The space was also very clean, but I noticed some wear and tear on the tables/chairs. Once Mehdi brought our food out, we got to eating. My omelette also came with a small side salad with balsamic vinaigrette and some potatoes. I think everything tasted good, especially the omelette, but the potatoes were a bit too greasy for my taste. I also think the portion size was too small for the price. This statement goes for everything we ordered. It was all extremely overpriced for the portions they're offering. My son said his panini was just mediocre and bland. He opened it and added a bunch of salt to it. It was also very skimpy on the chicken, about 4-5 tiny slices inside. Moving onto the pastries, the Pear/Almond was my favorite. It wasn't overly sweet (actually, none of the pastries were), which is what I prefer. It was very delicate and tasty. I also had a bite of the Caribbean which was delicious. They went well with my latte, which tasted very good. I will be trying the rest later. My son had a bite of everything and liked the Caribbean and the Nutella Beignet, saying the rest were just average. I didn't use the restroom but my son did and said it was spotless clean, stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and room spray. The trash was empty, floors and counters were clean. They have one men's and one women's restroom and it's spacious. They began closing down the place about 5 minutes after we finished our bites and nibbling. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience by any means, but I don't think I'll be rushing here anytime soon to try it again. It was just outrageously expensive for what it was. I understand the cost of ingredients, labor, etc it takes to produce pastries and viennoiserie, but I just don't think the quality matched the prices. Just my opinion. I would say the service was great, both Gabriel and Mehdi are great employees! I may or may not come back. We'll see.

A Decadent Father's Day Surprise!…read more For Father's Day, my son decided to surprise us with something from Artelice Patisserie, and let's just say... he absolutely understood the assignment. These pastries were not your everyday desserts--they were little works of art, and every single one was incredibly decadent and delicious. We had the Blossom, with vanilla mousse, pistachio and red berry insert, pistachio crunch, and pistachio sponge. The combination of creamy, nutty, fruity, and crunchy textures was so beautifully balanced. Every bite had something different going on, but somehow it all worked together perfectly. Then there was the Tropical Mango, made with mango and passion fruit mousse, fresh mango filling, coconut crunch, and coconut sponge. This one was such a gorgeous tropical escape! Bright fruit flavors balanced with that delicate coconut richness, and the textures made it just as interesting as it was delicious. We also had a beautiful pistachio creation with pistachio mousse, pistachio praline, pistachio and hazelnut crunch, and pistachio sponge. I'm not completely certain of the exact name because the color of ours looked a little different from the one pictured on their menu, but whatever this beauty was called, it was absolutely amazing. If you love pistachio, this one is definitely worth seeking out. What I loved most about Artelice is that these aren't simply pretty pastries. Each one feels thoughtfully constructed, with layers of mousse, sponge, crunch, fruit, and praline creating a completely different experience from bite to bite. They're rich and decadent without feeling like you're just eating one big blast of sweetness. And the presentation? Gorgeous. These are the kind of desserts that make you pause before taking that first bite because they're almost too pretty to disturb... almost. I'm always happy when my son introduces me to another great food discovery, and Artelice Patisserie was such a fun Father's Day treat. Everything we tried was unique, beautifully made, and absolutely delicious. Now I'm curious about the rest of their pastry case--which, honestly, could be dangerous for my dessert-loving self.

What really stood out for me was how well balanced the flavours are in their fillings, especially in the New York roll and the cruffin. They also do really well with their citrus combos like the cruffin, exotic or the mango eclair. I wish there was more custard in their fruit danish and sometimes the croissants aren't as soft, possibly a little overcooked. But the pastry on the cruffin was one of the softest and most delicate I've ever had. The macarons are also great especially the yuzu, passionate, hazelnut and raspberry flavours.
