Guy at the food window was nice and they have a little charity system that is cool, so I gave an extra star but omg this dish was so bad. This rating is only for the grain bowl bc I didn't try anything else, but should have checked the reviews for it prior. The rice tasted old, the avocado was nasty, a barely cooked egg...it was like they put everything that they were going to toss out later that day into a bowl. Stopped by this afternoon to grab a large iced coffee from this tiny shack next to Pitfire Pizza. When I got my drink, I had to double-check if I accidentally ordered a thimble of coffee--it was the size of a small, but I was charged $7.07. For that price, I expected either a full-size drink or at least a personal TED Talk with my caffeine. The coffee itself? Just alright. Nothing bad, but definitely not worth a $7+ hit to the wallet. Honestly, I could've walked into 7-11, paid half the price, and left with more coffee and change for a scratcher. (7-11, 7-11, seven, even--back door Little Joe, you know the vibe.) This place has one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Not only was the cilantro lime crema on the side super thick, but I was delighted to see a layer of crispy cheese on the outside of the burrito. It was crunchy and added wonderful texture contrast too. The best part of all of this is that this place was suprisingly budget friendly too. I stopped by the Hollywood branch today to grab a quick bite and it was good! The place was off the corner of a street with only a few tables and seats which is convenient. I got ricotta+jam toast (which was 7.5) and the matcha latte. I really loved the toast that I got as it had slices of pear on it, which I absolutely love. The service took around 15 minutes to make a slice of toast and a small matcha (with one person in line in front of me), and the lady who took my order was a little snappy. I pick up from here quite a bit--it's super convenient! You order at the window, and your food is ready within 10 minutes. The toasts are fantastic--I've actually tried all of them, and my favorites are the soft egg tartine and ricotta + jam. From the price of the menu, I thought I was getting a great deal because things seemed "cheaper". But the portion size of the items are small! So after being hungry and ordering and receiving small items, I felt disappointed. The breakfast sandwich was just okay, didn't have too much flavor to it. I also think the egg is not a proper egg, and very very little bacon. The milkshake was good but super strong caramel flavor. Sad to say, but I went and got more food elsewhere. read more

We ordered Thanksgiving dinner here for Turkey Day and were surprisingly surprised. The dishes were not salty, and we didn't feel heavy and gross afterward. It felt like they didn't use a lot of butter or sinful ingredients. We were supposed to pick up the food at their NOHO coffee station on the corner of Lankershim Vineland, but due to a Turkey run, no signs were left out stating that we should meet at an alternative location. Superba used to be the coffee spot I would go to 2-3 times within a week...because I was ADDICTED to their breakfast burrito. About four months ago, their range was in the process of being fixed and they currently weren't able to serve hot foods which clearly I was devastated by. Fast forward to this past week where I'm like, I NEED that burrito. Imagine the disappointment in my face when I realized that it was no longer on the menu. But I saw there was a breakfast sandwich. So because of my intense hunger, decided to go for it. While i waited, I read the reviews for it. The reviews did not make me excited about it, although I tried to stay hopeful. Comparing it to their breakfast burrito, it is subpar. Although their hot aioli sauce was literally the best thing about it. At this point, I will drive a bit further and hit up coffee commissary that has some really great food options. Specifically the male that works there. He always has a rude demeanor to him. Last time I was there I asked for sugar, I didn't know where to throw the empty wrapper and nobody was there to assisted so I left it by their pick up window. The guy came out of nowhere and yelled, " This isn't a trash can". I apologized and told him that I didn't see a trash. His response was to use the City's trash can at the sidewalk. Hands down - the best avocado toast I've ever had, and I've had avocado toast a plenty. The avocado ratio to the greens and the bread is incredible. The fried quinoa, pickled onions and the watercress and radish adds that perfect crunch. Can't NOT order this item when I'm in the area, and even when I'm not I get that avo goodness delivered. read more

It's hard to miss Superba's stand on Lankershim, corner to Magnolia! It's so yellow! Maybe too yellow? They have a few tables and chairs outside, also yellow, not the most comfortable seating option, but this is what they have. At least they clean them often, so Covid protocol is good. I wasn't so amazed by the pastries, I expected more, based on what I read about Superba. Not too many, not that interesting, fresh enough. Prices are on the higher side. I might give it a shot some other time since I walk by in the area often! read more

The service was good and the cashier was upbeat. I got the grain bowl (already prepared) and since the weather was cold I wished it had been warm. I wish that was a choice. I'm actually very excited that a superba is in the valley! I absolutely LOVE their coffee! I get an iced almond milk latte and it is so good. The coffee is strong and the milk is like sort of sweet ish which makes this latte perfect! When I first tried it, they made my drink wrong (hot instead of iced) and they gave me a free drink for next time for waiting! Some very good customer service there! FOOD: I also have gotten their churro croissant which is THE BEST! It has cinnamon pastry cream inside (heads up if you're not into that) that is so so good! I've had it once before and couldn't figure out which coffee shop had this specific churro croissant with the cream in it.... But finally I've found it again!! Lol. Definitely a must try! Another favorite here is their breakfast burrito. It is giant and only $8 when other places charge 10/11$! So it's for sure worth it. It was so fresh and yummy I could eat it every day! Okay, the absolute BEST part of this burrito is that they put a crispy layer of cheese on the bottom of it. This makes all the difference! Omg, its so good!!! LASTLY: Overall, I really love this place. It's a 10/10 for me (coffee, customer service, and food wise). The only downfall to this place is that it is located on a busy street.
