Used the app for a strawberry milkshake and some other items. Get to the window and the guy says no strawberry, just vanilla or chocolate. Take the vanilla. As we leave wife changes her mind. We bring it back for a refund. Guy then says "oh I could've made a strawberry but most people settle for the vanilla." Girl in back says she could've made it too. But " nah I don't feel like it." Kinda like I feel like going to Malta instead. Customer service is horrible. read more

Horrible!! Avoid at all costs. Tried to get a quick meal passing through. Ordered on the app to try and get food out quickly, that was a joke. After waiting an extended period of time with absolutely no employee available to answer the question "Where's our food?" When I did get the attention of a staff member and asked to cancel our order as we were in a rush I was told it was not possible to cancel. I started yelling to people in the back, all we wanted was our food and to get back underway. It was very apparent at that point that the entire kitchen was underwater. Finally the GM came out screaming at us. So after waiting close to a half an hour with no food we finally got a refund. I have never been screamed at by "service"staff in my life. Had the GM came out and asked what the issue was, she could have easily defused the situtuation. Instead we heard things like "I'm having an awful day and you're making it worse", "I hope you never return" etc. it was unbelievable. We have stopped at this location 8-10 times a year for many, many years. I will never return to a McDonalds owned by Joe Gialil again. Horrible, horrible, horrible. read more

I hate to give 1 star reviews. But it might be the only way to help the employees here. The service is horrible and it's not the employees fault. They are always under staffed and taxed. Sometimes the drive thru line barely moves because there's only two people working at rush hour. One time they couldn't even make the menu because someone took the keys to the fridge home. The place is poorly managed. Poorly organized. And poorly staffed. A new owner that cares needs to buy this McDonald's. read more

Feel sorry for the manager here, think he may have come from Saratoga to fix this place. Always a long wait..orders had to be stopped because everything was out of sync. Got the impression that the workers didn't care and were setting the manager up. Worst McDonald's in the area and it is not even close. Food is missing/cold/stale every time we order. Service is slow or nonexistent. Employees yelling and fighting amongst themselves. Telling customers to come inside when they are in the drive-thru and then no one working the counter inside. Go anywhere else until they get a complete overhaul. read more

... A HAIR once again this McDonald's disappoints . there was a long blonde hair tangled in my medium fries . I only found out once it was in my mouth and I had to pull it out .... Disgusting 1. I threw away my fries and went to eat my chicken nuggets only to find the sauce packet sliced open on the top . I threw everything else out after this . This McDonald's just can't seem to catch up . With the current rating system of 1 star to five stars,it's not possible to leave a review bad enough to describe how bad this McDonald's location really is. Multiple times we have waited more than 10 minutes to get someone to take our order with no one else in line. I signaled to people in the cooking area that we needed someone to take our order with no response except a head nod. After someone finally showed up to take our order,the real problems started. The person taking our order had no ability to even type in 2 simple orders of 2 five dollar meals,both the same and both of them with unsweetened ice tea. when the register totaled our order it was over 12 dollars and I told her it should have been 10.70. she said if the register said it was more than that's what it was. she had no ability to use any common sense. when I refused to pay that amount she realized she typed in large drinks and redid the entire order. During that process she mis typed the unsweetened tea to sweet tea and when I told her of the mistake she said don't worry she would give us unsweetened tea. I told her multiple times the order was to dine in and we wanted a number to have the order brought to our table. I was told they don't do that anymore and when I pointed out someone else was sitting at a table with a number and there were stacks of numbers on the counter she agreed to bring our order. Looking around for a place to sit and wait,we discovered the place was a disgusting pig sty. Dirty tables everywher,over flowing trash cans and a filthy condiments area. Guess what,when she brought our cold meal I discovered she brought sweet tea and not the unsweetened tea she promised to bring. I followed her back to the counter she agreed to bring us the unsweetened tea,it never came so I went back to the counter and was furious and demanded someone get us our unsweetened tea. A few minutes she showed up at our table with what was clearly not tea. It was black iced coffee. I looked all over for cameras as I really thought this had to be a candid camera episode. No way on earth could a McDonald's be run this bad and with so many dirty tables and such incompetence. I was wrong,it really is this bad. The management at this location should all be fired or the store shut down. There is no way on earth corporate would tolerate this embarrassment of a restaurant. As I mentioned in the beginning of my review,this is not my first encounter with this location. It is the worst encounter and certainly my last encounter. If you want these incompetent people cooking food for you in a filthy restaurant, go for it but you have been warned. read more

I try this place once or twice a year to see if anything has improved, and I can confirm that it has not. Went to the drive through for breakfast yesterday. Only 2 cars ahead of me, but it took 15 minutes between ordering and receiving order. As usual, english muffin on the sandwich was stale, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. Spent 20 minutes waiting on a mobile order as I watched all of the workers doing only drive thru. I order a cheeseburger and some fries for $4 and you'd think they just want to get it over with. The food was okay at best. read more

They get my order right about 1 out of every 4 times. Ridiculously long waits, even during non peak hours. Food is usually cold, stale, soggy, and/or dried out. You can ask for ketchup, but that doesn't mean you'll get it. Same with napkins. If they can't get competent employees, the need to shut down. My advice is to go to the one in Malta. read more

I needed a quick meal for my niece, while we were visiting family. McDonalds is easy - she knows the menu. The staff were friendly and took our order quickly. However we did wait quite a while for our food - it appeared they were short of help. I agree with previous posts that this location needs a redesign. The play area takes up all the space, little seating, and an awkward layout for a lot of people who are placing orders and waiting for food. In the end, a Big Mac is a Big Mac. Stopped on more than one occasion a half hour to an hour before their listed dining in time of 9:00 and the doors were locked. So, frustrating!! Seems to be a common trend at this location. Perhaps they need to list (close at whenever we feel like) on their website. read more

Ride cashier. Fry containers not full. Tartar sauce tastes like nothing but a mouthful of mayonnaise. Order a regular crispy chicken and got given a spicy one. Me and my fiancé went TWICE TODAY once around 2 and once around 6pm the girl who was handing out said not one word. Threw out food at us and shut the window acted as if she had better things to do. I am all one for teenagers earning a living but if you are going to treat customers like that maybe the district manager should reevaluate her status. And then when she proceeds to say ONE WORD it was "here" and she shut the window. This specific McDonald's has gone very downhill. And we will not be returning. read more

First, a heartfelt thank you to whoever makes the coffee here. This was literally the first time in years that I have ordered a coffee at a McDonald's and been able to drink it immediately (i.e., it was not "stupid hot"). That was definitely a perk (yes, pun intended... sorry). This appears to be an older, though well-maintained McDonalds, though I wonder if it is being considered for leveling/rebuilding as has been the case for so many others. The restaurant is dwarfed by a 2-story play area in the front which I'll bet does not get as much use as intended. I'm sure they would love to redistribute the space on a rebuild. From the counter, it appears the food prep area is too small for the staff. There were not as many tables as I expected, the seating was not that comfortable, and the TV was too loud. If you don't want to listen to the TV, your alternatives are a single 6-person table in the front, and a couple more tables in the play area. My order was processed promptly with no errors. I came here for breakfast because I was traveling and because I had a coupon. That said, if you have the opportunity, there are a number of other excellent restaurants in Ballston at which you can have a great breakfast, including Iron Roost, Good Morning Cafe, The Whistling Kettle, Beverly's Eatery, and more. Please try to patronize these local businesses. In my opinion, fast food should be the exceptional meal, not the rule. read more

We stopped tonight on the way home. We ordered three hamburgers , a six piece and small fries. There was no one inside and we were waiting in the drive thru window. Finally out comes our food, off we go. The fries cold we were just barely out of their parking lot. We live on the other side of the village, we get home, the whole order is cold. The barbecue sauce was warmer than the nuggets. one hamburger used to be a cheese burger. it had cheese on it. Don't get me wrong, I work in retail. If you don't have the staff either close earlier, or have them tell your customers, it will be a little longer than normal we are making your food hot and fresh but we are short staffed. Setting the bar spectacular low...even for fast food. Service is often slow and you need to pay VERY coose attention to every step of the order. There's nearly always something misssing from the orders, but tonight takes the cake: they not only forgot the milk, they forgot the nuggets. This McDonald's is by far the worst- the fries are soggy as if they've been sitting in old oil, absolutely no salt on them.. all you can taste is oil. The buns for the burgers are stale and grease drips off. I would rather drive the distance to another McDonald's. Omg. The kids play area is a freakin mess. Food all over the floor. Dried ketchup on the tables. It takes a while to dry ketchup to where I couldn't even wipe it with wet napkins. A mess. I wanted to take my kids to have a quick dinner after soccer. And against my better judgement I let them play and we are in the kids area. Never again. I understand that they are kids and food gets dropped but come on!!! Management should be ashamed of themselves. Clean it up once and a while. I am done with McDonald's.
