Great Food, fast and good service. Great Ambience . I have been coming here few times now. Never disappoints. $7 for spinach egg and cheese on everything bagel. The bagel was very crisp and light and soft all at the same time.

I'm a bagel snob so I always have high expectations. This didn't meet them but still great option to have in the 518. The everything seasoning was mostly poppy and salt and there was barely any cream cheese on the bagel. It costed me $4.85. The bagels are also a little bigger than a mini bagel. So I'd give it a 6/10. I will be back to try other flavors for sure. The taste was not too bad, I just wish it was bigger and less salty. I only waited about 5 mins for My order and it was packed in there so not bad for peak breakfast hours on a Saturday.

I'm torn with my review. I would give this a 3.5 but alas that's not a choice. First, the menu has lots of delicious sounding dishes, which is a huge plus. I ordered a Cape Cod chicken salad sandwich. The chunks of chicken were very large and kept falling out of the sandwich. I opened it up and tried to break the pieces up a bit so I could spread the filling around the bread better. My plastic fork actually broke in half trying to do this . I did manage to rearrange the filling and spread out more which helped it stay in the bread. The flavor of the chicken salad was good. I really liked the addition of sweet potatoes - and that was why I ordered it because I wanted to see what that would be like. The bread itself is tasty. But.... very hard to bite through the crust. My friend and I both ended up pulling the crust off our sandwiches so we could actually bite into them. She had a panini and same problem. Having to remove the crust to be able to actually bite into the sandwiches was annoying, and a waste. So that is my struggle. I liked the place, I liked the menu options, but i paid about $10 for a sandwich that was hard to eat. I don't think I'll order a sandwich again. Maybe I'll stick with a bagel next time.

If you're in the mood for a tasty lunch or breakfast then search no longer. The Works is the place. When I walked in I was struck by the clean and cheerful interior. The menu is posted and is clear and easy to read. Everything is laid out beautifully. The staff was incredibly friendly despite them being busy. The menu is vast and has something for everyone. There are vegetarian options as well as gluten free. I had the smoked salmon bowl and the flavors went together nicely. The standout would be the tomato pesto which was phenomenal! I honestly could have eaten an entire bowl of it. My very picky 12 year old devoured his bagel. It looked like buttery perfection. Based on his comments while eating it was a huge hit. These is a great small business that is so much better than some of the chain alternative.

My friend and I stopped here on a whin. I said hey why not me try the new bagel place for lunch. It looked like another popular lunch spot that has salads, soups and sandwiches as we walked in. Prices are good. I ordered a chicken sandwich panini, called the super. The chicken was too thick, rather have it thin pieces to bite into and my friend had the sane sandwich and said the same. As you bit into it the sandwich fell apart. I ordered a jalapeño bagel to toast and eat at home, which I did and it was OK. It didn't have a New York City bagel feel, it was more like eating a big English muffin. Again my friend said she wasn't impressed with her bagel either. I would go back to try maybe a breakfast wrap, they seemed to look good or some soup.

Pretty good!

Decent bagel and lunch place with fresh bread, sandwiches, salad. I got an everything bagel extra toasted with herb cream cheese. Pretty good! I'd come back for lunch sometime. Note - the outside is under construction but they are open.

It was a place where I thought I would have a really delicious breakfast. It's a total PR exaggeration. We ordered the egg and cheese bagel sandwich and the roasted artichoke panini. We couldn't eat both. I think they just told the sandwiches "you have cheese" because there was absolutely no cheese in them. Instead of basil pesto, there was something green on the sandwich (no one should call it basil pesto) And egg... If I close my eyes and eat it and someone asks me what I ate, I would never say egg. Totally fake

I'm so glad this place is here!! So far I have enjoyed everything I've tried. This will be a very convenient place to stop for breakfast or lunch on work days! On our first trip we tried a few of their sandwiches hot and cold, soup and a maple walnut packaged brownie. All were good and made from quality ingredients. The chicken noodle soup was very mild with a thin broth but also filled with quality chicken, noodles and carrots. I much prefer that to something with fillers, msg and too much salt. All the sandwiches had fresh, crispy bread My Cape Cod Chicken was again not overly salty with subtle flavors and sweet potatoes. My son's panini had plenty of melty cheese and smoky bacon. The brownie while plastic wrapped still tasted fresh. The next time I went was in the morning so I could try the bagels. A big thumbs up for them!!! They have a nice crusty exterior and just enough chew. The flavor is just right. The dough is sweet enough to support the traditional cream cheese, lox and capers sandwich I ordered. It also has red onion and lettuce. The lox on the sandwich were generous and I could definitely taste the salmon flavor. I brought home 1/2 a dozen including salt, everything and sesame and some of their Vermont cream cheese too. I'm not the biggest cream cheese lover but I loved this cheese! I also had a yogurt parfait with granola, blueberries and raspberries. It was nice and creamy and not overly sweet. Most importantly I had coffee! I wasn't disappointed in the coffee. It's self serve so I mixed half house roast with dark roast. It had a deep caramel flavor. No sugar needed! So good to have another coffee place near work!!! I like the wood themed interior The service is friendly and efficient. They are not inexpensive but as LONG as the quality stays the same I will be regular.

Quality is inconsistent. Picture says it all. This is their roasted vegetable soup.

Glad they replied, though belatedly. We will go back and cross fingers that this was a one off situation. January 1st- I sent the following email Dinertime with NO response. Things can happen at any business...but not acknowledging in any manner that we were served basically raw shrimp is the reason why we are posting this. Businesses that care about their customers at least recognize when there is a problem and try to make it better: Hello, we are customers who have been coming to the Diner Time restaurant since you opened. We have come as a couple, we have brought or met friends, and we bring family. Overall, we've been satisfied with our visits. The food and service have been reliably good/decent. Tonight, however, was a disappointment. We recognize that very few restaurants were open today, New Year's Day. As a result, your dining room was very busy. Despite that, our server was very pleasant and took good care of us. The problem? Unfortunately, it seems that the kitchen was rushing to get all the orders taken care of. My lasagna arrived, barely warm.... As if they didn't leave it in the oven or whatever heating device long enough. Tasted good, but I decided it would taste much better if I took it home and heated it up properly. So most of that came home with us. More importantly, my husband got the Fried Seafood platter. The fried fish and clams were good, the crab cake mushy and tasteless. The coconut shrimp was crispy and brown on the outside, but the shrimp inside was undercooked. Translucent and almost slimy. Both of us tried a different one of the 3 shrimps and both weren't cooked. We packed up leftovers (leaving the shrimp) and ordered dessert (very good red velvet cake). When our server brought us dessert, we did inform her of the cold lasagna and undercooked shrimp and asked that she inform the kitchen. Shortly after we got home, both of us got sick to our stomach, husband with very bad diarrhea. Couple of thoughts... when we mentioned the problem, it would have been appreciated if someone.. ie the manager on duty or one of the kitchen staff apologized and perhaps comped the dessert or something. It would also have been helpful to hear that care would be taken to prevent this in the future... ie especially undercooked seafood. We do appreciate you being open on the holiday but hope that you can avoid negative problems like this happening again, especially related to food safety. Sincerely, R Rosette Food: 1/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 Noise level

I've been coming to 76 Diner for years, going back to my college days, and while I don't get over to that part of Latham as often anymore, I still make it a point to stop in a few times each year. I will say a while ago they changed their menus. I used to enjoy the older version with some information about the presidents of the United States. Probably silly of me but I enjoyed reading that and it went along with the '76 name. I'd like to see something similar to that come back on future menus. It's a large place, so there's rarely much of a wait, if any, and the parking lot is big enough that finding a spot is never an issue. On this visit, we were seated quickly, greeted promptly, and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Any time I've been here it's always nice and clean. This time was no exception. Any time I've been in the restroom, it has always been clean as well. The service stood out, our waitress checked in several times to make sure everything was good and see if we needed anything else without being overbearing. Everything we ordered tasted great, and the desserts were just as good. This has been a reliable spot for me for a long time, and this visit was no different. 5 stars

Yes, we've been doing this for over fifty years, and once again we were satisfied with our meal as we departed satiated. I ordered the Big Breakfast ($13.49) comprised of two pancakes (instead of one French toast), two eggs, and bacon (instead of either sausage or ham). That's quite reasonable since we paid $9.99 ten years ago. I did opt to add an order of home fries on this visit for an additional 35 cents. My wife decided to have a Create Your Own Omelet ($10.99) with cheddar cheese and spinach (plus an additional 35 cents for that second item in the omelet), served with home fries and toast. Bottomless cup of coffee is $3.99. The pancakes were large and very light and fluffy considering how thick they were. I would have liked them to have been served hotter, which, coincidentally, is what my wife also said about her omelet. But the pancakes were tasty and satisfying. The hashbrowns were a good mix of some soft and some crispy potatoes. The over easy eggs I ordered came out perfect and the bacon was crispy the way I like it. Overall, a pleasant meal that we didn't have to cook at home. Our server was very welcoming and friendly.

What a beautiful restaurant!…read more Did you ever have a long day and want to drink a big glass of red wine with dinner? The Scarlet Knife put a check in all the boxes. I walked in with no reservations. I noticed the space is very large with multiple dining rooms. I'm tired, I asked for a table close to the open kitchen. Once seated, I'm given a large, leather menu. There are lots of great entree choices but after I review all the selections, I'm going with the SK Bistro Burger. The entree also has a wine pairing suggestion, a Cabernet Sauvignon. It's like they read my mind, I'm sold! I'm starting to read about the restaurant, they have a large wine cellar and was recognized by Wine Spectator with an award for excellence. My bistro burger arrives, I can see this is a well crafted burger. From the pretzel bun to the thick burger patty, Scarlet Knife served me a great meal that I would typically order at The Capital Grill. My only issue, the onion straws were cold. I scraped them off and continued with my meal. I'm just passing thru town, Scarlet Knife was a fantastic spot to dine and have a generous pour of award winning Cabernet Sauvignon.

We arrived early and were seated promptly; water was poured before we even had napkins on laps. This surprised me, as reviews indicated that service could be slow and this was a holiday. But this started a constant service of someone checking in on us every 2-3 minutes (I am prone to exaggeration for a good story, but I assure you this was true. I kept checking my watch to confirm). We put in an appetizer order (deviled eggs) that was served within a minute or two. These were well seasoned and tasty, ice cold from the refrigerator. It's not that they didn't taste fresh, but they were served to us so quickly that I know that they were prepared well in advance and only the warm pork belly was recently prepped. Our meals were served as the appetizer was finished (I was still chewing). At this point, we were 10 minutes into our seating. Our meals included steak and eggs, which I incorrectly assumed would require a little bit more time. Not true! Our plates arrived, piping hot and tasty enough...but boy did we feel rushed. Our server, the manager, bussers, and other attendants stopped by our table every few minutes. I recognize this was a holiday, but there was not a steady stream of people coming through the doors and plenty of open tables were available. Our conversation was repeatedly interrupted with these check-ins and we all took great care to eat the meal as slowly as possibly to stretch things out. At this point we were on track to be out the door in 30 minutes. As a table we made a decision to order dessert and we were able to savor and dawdle long enough to get us to one hour. $180 later, we finished our Easter visit out in the parking lot where no one was pushing us out. (I will note that several families arrived after us and completed their meals in 30ish minutes. What's special about brunch when it's that rushed?) I wish I could review the food better, but my taste buds hardly had time to register the experience. Entrees were hot but clearly prepared well in advance and kept at the ready under heat lamps or in warming ovens. The dessert was cold and sweet as appropriate, but had that prepped yesterday feel to it. This is not what I expect from a restaurant that markets itself as a fresh farm to table establishment. I don't quite regret going to Scarlet Knife, but there are enough quality restaurants in the greater area that I probably won't return.
